well, i wanted to get this out on New Years Eve, but now is a good time as well i guess. i finally figured out a way to compress the video from 120 megs to under 20 megs! theres a small loss of quality, but your Media Player will be thankful for it.

This is an 05 fireworks show complete with countdown, but its also an overview of the park and gives small insight to the 2 coasters. it uses the grand flyovers that mikecya has made famous and runs pretty well. I forgot to credit the music, so dont worry...

Its - Nutville by Buddy Rich and his orchestra.

so, without further adu, here it is.

hope you enjoy. and thanks for checkin it out.

Very cool! It was great the way some of the fireworks went off in sync with the music. Lots of great details, I'll just mention one that caught my eye - that airy framework at the top of one of the wooden coaster hills - nice use of the game's standard building elements in a creative way to produce an unexpected effect.

Great job with the camera route editor. I just have one questions about it. When I use the route editor it always plays it back starting from the last point I did instead of from the first. Is this how it is with you?

Thanks for all the support so far. its these words that make me want to continue this.

about the camera routes editor...

it depends on what you do. in it, there is a timeline of your route. and it should play from start to finish. one question - when you plan your first shot, do you press the big "S" in the timeline? that determines your first shot.

thanks again, you guys are awesome!

Thanks, I didn't know about pushing the S.

That was awesome! It was almost like a comercial for Las Vegas!
Excellent job on all aspects! Some really nice shots with that motion editor. Nice park. I dunno what to say exactly....

n747, that was pure magic. I had a grin ear-to-ear the entire time.

First off, fantastic park! I mean awe-inspiring and bubbling with creativity! You take this park design thing to a whole new level! I think the restaurant over the water was my favorite architectural element. And the coasters were superbly designed.

And the video production was out-of-this world. Gorgeous vistas, expertly photographed and choreographed to that swingin' soundtrack. My favorite video I've seen to date.

STANDING OVATION! 5 stars!

WOW! Truely Amazing.. You've got yourself some amazing Tycoonage going on there :p That is EXACTLY how I want RCT3 to run on my system.. If I were to make a movie I only get 1 FPS :p ...I hope I can get an Alienware System someday :(

Very well done, 5 stars!

haha, you guys are way awesome.

i love this park, it started as a rough recreation of Disney's California Adventure's Paradise Pier (say that 5 times fast) and blossomed into its own. Phobos Twister - the woodie, was the first one installed and at about that time, the block brake launch trick had just come out. although this one tries to not be so obvious. i added Paralyzer - the steel twister for one thing only. That assaulting cobra roll framing the enterance of the park. and eventually, that coaster fell into its own as well. i based that ride off of the placement of Knott's newest coaster - Silver Bullet. so some real world inspiration went on with the making of it. and i really like how i didnt resort to the standard space theming of it. i wanted something different, and i really liked the steel building set, so i sprung off of that. added some odd coloring - purple, red, yellow and green, and thats how i acheived the lush vegetation of the park.

about in the middle of designing, i decided to let the park go, and allow all the peeps to trash it completely for the scenario. it looked completely different when i first started making the test park than it did in the vid. if you decide to attempt the Phobos Lagoon Scenerio, make sure you dont have a weak stomach. you'll literally need an army of janitors to clean it up. 75 at minimum. but, im giving too much away.

im glad you guys are enjoying the vid. and thanks for the 5 stars! you're an awesome community.

PS - SORD3N - when i make a movie, it films at less than 1 FPS. the built in filming device utilizes frame by frame filming which turns out to be a better product, and usually the best it ever looks, even over actual gameplay.

Heh, I did the same thing at first.

Pressing the 'S' will put the current camera position at the Start of the camera route, pushing 'F' will put it at the 'Finish' (end) of the route. So if you always press 'S', you're effectively building the route in reverse. (could be handy sometime I suppose) My habit is to set up the first camera position, press 'S' to set the start, then at each subsequent position I press 'F' to add that spot onto the end of the route. Much the same as Bitter Jeweler describes.

In good time, in good time. i just need to finallize some design plans, and add a storyline. then Phobos Lagoon will be ready for download. ill give it a timeline of...say.....this weekend.

Its not too hard to film the vids. All you do is complete a camera path in the Attract Sequence Editor and let it film for you. you can get off the computer and go do something else while it films.

Thanks for all the replies, i hope i can get this thing finished in time!
