Error message

I loaded the game and it loaded just fine. However, when I begin to play I get booted back to the desktop and this is the error message I receive.

"thread MAIN caught unhandled exception - Aceess Violation (C0000005) trapped at 1B:0"

Any thoughts around this? The game is totally unplayable as I get kicked out with this message on the desktop everytime I try to play.

[not happy]

Three days ago I bought Axis and Allies because a friend said it was great. Followed all the requirements, tried to play the game, got the same error message as you MK1332. Went looking for a fix and found lots of complaints about errors and problems but very very little info about how to make the game work.
When I buy new things I expect them to Work properly. It's about time game manufacturers stopped ripping off us gullible public and only released sofware after the bugs have been exorcised.
I repackaged my game up so well the store couldn't tell it had been opened and got my money back. Companies won't listen till you hit them in the wallet.
