Right now they are ahead. The slated opening is not November anymore. They are aiming for a July 17th opening of this year. The track is currently completed and they are working on the electrical and effects. No testing has occured at this time.

Many sources, in the park and out of the park. They are ahead of schedule because the President of the park, CM Matt has requested funds to speed up the process by working on Space Mountain 24 hours a day thus making the aim date to open on the actual birthday of the 1st Disney park. It is not definate but that is what the workers are aiming for.

Today they were running Space Mountain with one rocket today. There were loud sounds and music coming from inside the mountain.

Have you heard anything about soft opening of Space Mountain around June 14? I'm doing my own 50th birthday at Disneyland and would hope I can get a sneak preview.

If you have an annual pass there will be previews around that time if they are going to open for the 17th of July. But you have to reserve it by going onto Disneyland.com when it is availbile.

I'm coming in from Florida especially for the 50th celebration, but in light of it being my 50th as well, I'd like to think that some CM would pull that string for me.

Voodoop, have you check out DLD History? It seems the pictures weren't posted after January 13, is the owner of the site on a break or what? I'm asking you this because you're the Disneyland expert. :)

That site will no longer be getting pictures updates. I believe the guy who took the pictures/ran the site is moving or some other thing that has to do with his job.

That stinks. I also checked out your Disneyland park and it is very impressive. Do you know any other websites that have daily or weekly photo updates?
