I've borrowed my dad's Atari 2600, "new" model (not the wooden one) to play some old-fashion-fun games...

I've got 4 tv's at home, but I can't get it to work on either of them. I can remember the "old" model did work before on my first tv (which I still own), but on every tv I've tested, I only get black/white screen without sound. I've tried everything (I think).

What am I doing wrong? Or is the device broken??

'cause it's only a matter to find the correct channel to play it on, right? My old tv has to search manually, but the others search authomaticly, but I can't find a working channel... only b/w and mute...

*help* :D

You do have the 300 Ohm Video-TV antenna convertor, yes? It's the thing with the little 2-position slider switch for selecting between the game console and the television antenna. Without one of those I don't think it will work properly.

Maybe this will help you. Run it through a vcr, then connect the vcr to the t.v. Set the vcr to either ch. 3 or 4 .Maybe it'll work.
