A new direction for SFGrAdv.

This is what will be new for Great Adventure in 2005.

Besides Kingda Ka and Golden Kingdom this season will have:

1.new paint jobs for GASM and Chiller
2.every show facility will have a show (6 new shows including a water stunt show)
3.Runaway Mine Train is getting new cars
4.Viper is leaving (that's been rumored for a couple of years and is finally happening)
5.all food locations will be open everyday the park is
6.more security in the park and lifeguard chairs to prevent LINE CUTTING!!!
7.every ride will be open everyday (weather and maintenance permitting)
I'll believe #7 when I see it.;)

These are just some of the things coming in 2005.

I can't speak for the rest of the SF chain, but it appears Gr Adv is heading in the right direction.:)

That's good for SFGRADV but I wouldn't mind seeing SFA make some improvements as well which would include the following.

1Repaint all of the steel coasters in the park(Two face's paint still looks good though).


2 New trains added to Mind eraser with the so called improved wheel system & restraints that actually stay locked.

3 Retrack Roar(it really needs it) or better yet put a new set of GCI M-flyers on it to replace the PTC's.


4 Get Batwing to run at least two trains & both stations at all times.


5 Either fix Iron eagle or just get rid of it,last year despite a full off season rehab that included a motor replacement the ride was down more often than it was running.

6 While fixing IE either replace the defunct enterprise(sitting half assembled since 02) with a new ride or just put it back in operation....that ugly fence is starting to become an eyesore IMO.

7 Get Typhoon seacoaster to run more than 4 boats(something they've been unable to do since it opened in 97).


8 last but not least please add another coaster to the park no later than 07(I'd prefer 06 but that probably won't happen) & stop adding al these water attractions,the park just added a water ride in 03 & what do they do for 05? they add a waterpark expansion & retheme instead & if they do add a new coaster it better be B&M (preferably floorless) & not yet another vekoma design.....the proposed stand up they were gonna add in 01 would do nicely.

Considering the legal action going on between Vekoma and Six Flags, I doubt they would buy another Vekoma Coaster.

^That may be true & of course it would partially explain the lack of new coasters at the park since 01,however there is still the question of obtaining parts from vekoma to keep the three vekoma rides they already have up & running.
