What kind of a ride is this? I saw mentioned that it costs 40 to ride it - is it a bunjee type ride?
Thanks,
Tootsie

Black Hole is a classic ride at Alton Towers, UK.
Its an indoor Jet Star II, and has been a favourite in the park for many years, an almost identical ride to the New Beast coaster, which was an outdoor version located at the other end of the park.
Sad to know it really is going:(

Thanks Boris for letting me know! Wow, it sucks when a good ride goes. :(
I wish our Roseland was still open....it was just a small-town theme park, had a wooden coaster and such. I vaguely remember it, only because I was about 7 years old when they closed it down in (I think) 1989. :(
They did relocate the coaster though to another park, so glad to know that it wasn't destroyed. (It is the Skyliner - now in Altoona, PA at Lakemont Park).

i know the feeling, the nearest one to me used to be a very large park (in fact it the the third inverting coaster to be built in the country, as well as giant ferris wheels, early chute-the-shoots style rides, enterprise, etc.) but nowadays it contains one woody (the first woody to be declared a listed building because of its age) and a couple of other rides (used to have a Maurer Sohne Wild Mouse, Schwarzkopf Looping Star, Schwarzkopf Silver Arrow (called Looping Star:rolleyes: )
most of the rides have been sold though to other parts of the country:(

Cool thing is though i'm making a recreation of it for RCT3 so if it dies, it'll sort of live on.

Hey, that'll be pretty neat!! I'm sure your recreation will come out great! Makes it special in your own way, a great way to relive it! :)
Maybe I could try making my Roseland too.....will have to see if I can find some old maps, etc of it!
