July 4th falls on a Monday this year. I'm planning a trip with for a handful of high school aged kids that goes from June 24- July 3. We usually go to a park on the way home, but that would fall on the Forth of July weekend. How busy would the following parks be on Saturday July 2nd: Kings Island, Holiday World and Geauga Lake. All input would be a great help. Thanks.

When I worked at Cedar Point in the late 1980's, I found that holiday weekends were usually quite a bit slower than the guests would expect, with the middle day of the three day weekend usually being the busiest of the days. The actual holiday is often the least busy of the three.
My travels over the past 5 years have also often included holiday weekends, and I've found the same pattern to generally hold true elsewhere.
However, many parks do have fireworks on the 4th of July, which causes their evening attendance to pick up substantially, especially if the park has a twilight admission rate.

not sure bout PKI or CP, but im expecting Geauga Lake to be pretty crowded. I mean, they just got the first phase of there transformation, and its probably gonna be packed with the parents being off and everything.

Thanks for your reply. I think we're going to go for Holiday World on July 2nd.
