Hey....just wondering if anyone has seen the new NASCAR commercial.....with the cars going up the lift hill and racing around on a woody. :)
Very neat! I have yet to see the whole commercial, my mother saw if first & I missed it....and later saw a shorter cut version. Two things I like combined into one! :D

Ya it's a good commercial, the Daytona 500 is one wild ride:bulb:. (Go mark, you can bounce back even though harvick is a moron!)

LOL :)
Maybe sometime I can find the commercial online to download & save it....would be cool!
Since I don't have cable....a friend told me that the qualifier race on cable today had a big accident that was caused by Harvick!
My friend said that Harvick is not a moron - he is more-off! ;)
LOL
(I'm rootin' for Dale Jr.)

Cool! Thanks....I thought there was a Nascar rollercoaster. Don't think I'll head out to Vegas though any time soon. :)

That "sweet looking" one in Vegas is also a sweet riding one! It's a very fun coaster. It's actually my favorite of the 4 major Vegas coasters. (I like Desperado better, but it's not actually in Vegas.)

Ooooh Harpo! really? Desperado? at Buffalo Bills???
I stopped off on a drive to Vegas from San Francisco and rode what i thought would be a great Steel hyper and it was the roughest *bump!* bounciest *ouch!* sharpest * owww!* one Ive ever rode! A big dissapointment...especially after Id raved to my travelling friends about it and we were all hyped up about riding it...:(
The Speed ride is great fun though and has a lovely smooth launch...best seat is the back right though - try the front and feel those rubber wheels bounce along the track - I got a major headache from riding in the front right seat - but the back is as smooth as a B&M!

That's odd, I didn't find Desperado to be all that rough. Where did you sit on the train? I usually sit in the front seat on that one. I definitely like the first half of the ride better than the second half, which I find to be a bit dull.
It should be noted that I like "violent" airtime, where it feels like I'll be flung from the seat.

Ahhh! No wonder you like Desperado then! It is a very 'jerky' steel coaster with some of the direction changes being very sharp - maybe it was the cars and seats I found a bit uncomfortable?
I did 3 runs - one at the front, another at the back and one midway. I preferred the back for the airtime - there was some parts of the track I liked ( the first drop is great, and also the second large helix onto the car park - and that last head-chopper under the monorail even had me ducking down! ) but overrall I was a bit let down by it :(

I can certainly understand your disappointment in Desperado. While it is my favorite of the Nevada coasters, it's not in my top-10 list of coasters.
I've got a three-way tie for favorite steel coaster -- each coaster for a different reason. Those coasters are Raptor, Millennium Force, and Top Thrill Dragster, all at Cedar Point. My fourth favorite is also at Cedar Point: Magnum XL-200. (Is it any wonder that it's my favorite of the 143 parks I've visited, when it contains my 4 favorite coasters?)
Other top coasters for me (in no particular order) include Incredible Hulk (Islands of Adventure), Steel Force (Dorney Park), Superman Ride Of Steel (Darien Lake), Mamba (Worlds of Fun), Kraken (Sea World Orlando), Big Bad Wolf (Busch Gardens Williamsburg), Wild Thing (Valleyfair), Great White (Sea World San Antonio), and Superman Krypton Coaster (SF Fiesta Texas).
Desperado would be quite a bit farther down the list, but I'm sure it'd be in my top 100, if I were so inclined to create such a list!

It sounds a bit like The Big One, great first drop but the rest is a bit dull.
