a couple of friends and i are going on a trip from may 22-28 to magic mountain, knotts berry farm and universal, my ? is what kind of crowd and wait times are we looking at during that period?
i noticed the parks are only opened till 6 also. we are flying from cleveland ohio and will be are first time to cali and the parks. if anyone could provide some insight or info of what we can expect it would be great. we are also going to cedar point on opening day and other days plus geauga lake and kings island that month to. should be alot of fun.

thanks to anyone that replies

May could be pretty busy, since it's the begining of summer. I read the title of your thread "Cali Parks in May?" and said NO. It will be pretty busy I'm pretty sure but if your willing to wait in line it won't be so bad really. You're not going to Disney Land? Six Flags wasn't too busy for me and I went in summer so you may not have a problem there. Knotts Berry farm will either be extremely busy or not at all. Universal is pretty much for sure to be very busy and their new ride The Mummy will most likely have 2 hour wait. If you're willing to wait in fairly long lines than I don't think it'll be too bad. Waiting in line isn't that bad if you have some friends to talk to.

Someone else might be able to give a better reply.

Ya, Magic mountain is pretty much a 2 hour wait on every ride except on collosus (or collasal w/e its called, the wooden one)
that was about a 15 minute wait and i was happy about that, and aoshi is right about knotts, its either pack or not at all, and universal is prolly gonna be busy, and i dont recomend disneyland cause it will cost 100 dollars per person, unless you have the money, then totally go for it, its gonna be amazing. but ya other than that universal is always full.

Going to a any major theme park in Southern Cali on a weekend is NOT a smart idea.

Also missing the best park of them all is not a good idea either, especially when it is celebrating the 50th anniversary. It is 53 a ticket, not 100 unless you want to go to both parks and I dont recommend that. Only go to Disneyland out of the two parks for the anniversary.
