Well, at the moment the concept plan by Jean Marc Toussaint is just that...a concept. Jimmy Godden sold the park this month to developers who want to turn the site into housing and retail...so there is a long road to travel yet.
The only hope is that Thanet District Council refuse the planning permission and support the concept plan (and retain Dreamland as part of the Local Development Strategy).
Without the support of the Council the days of Dreamland are numbered. If you are local to the park...write to Thanet DC and tell them your views of the concept plan, spread the word...encourage friends, relatives, etc to lobby your local councillor. The fight is on, but the battle is not won yet!

If it helps in the battle...
It was quite some time ago (in the late 1950's) where Cedar Point was in serious jeopardy of being turned into a housing development. The new owners intended to shut down the park, but there were a couple of years remaining on the park's lease, so they weren't able to close it immediately.
There was a huge public outcry, and the State of Ohio got involved to protect the park. It was well before I was born, so I'm only going on "legend" as told to employees of Cedar Point when I worked there (1986-1990), but the story says that Ohio was talking about forcing the owners to sell Cedar Point to the state. Partially because of this pressure, and partially because of the success of the new Disneyland in California, the owners decided to give the park one more chance as an amusement park. It led to a refurbishment of the midway, including building Blue Streak roller coaster in 1964 -- the first new coaster at the park in over 30 years.
Now, of course, Cedar Point has grown to have 16 coasters, and has won Amusement Today's Golden Ticket award for #1 amusement park in the world for the past 7 years.
My point is this: If you can get enough public support for the park, and can get the government to see that public support, it could go a very long way towards saving Dreamland.
I wish you the absolute best of luck in the pursuit!
