Six Flags: Darien Lake - anyone going?

Does anyone plan on going to SFDL in the near future? If so, could you do a report if there are any new changes, or upgrades of rides, etc?
Just curious.
SFDL is getting the Tornado water slide, any other news of new rides or changes to the park?

just whent like 2 weeks ago and the new attraction is a ery large water slide called the big kahuna(sp?). climb up the tower of starirs get in raft that seats 4-7 poeple i would guess and the send you down. you WILL get SOAKED on this ride and it move prety fast especially for a waer slide. worth a 30 min wait but if it apears that more than the top 2 levels of stairs are full i wouldn't spend my time waiting for it even though it is a gd ride, there is plenty else that you can do. best way to aoid that long wait is be waiting for water rides to open up at 11 and get in line then. if you are lucky you may be able to ge of and get back in ine and only have a 30 min wait for a second ride but after that the wait gets to be to long in m opinion. i noticed a few other new things this year, they have added a few smoking areas to the park, all they are is just some small areas that are roped off that you are alowed to smoke in (not that big of a neal for non-smokers odviosly). some changes have been made to the laser light show, the usal changing of musical shows, and all the otheer small insignigant stuff tha changes form year to year

Ok, Who is it going to be sold to I heard Paul Snyder will buy it or has already but if thats the case why hasn't it been announced and i heard it will stay open if he did or does buy it.

Six Flags Darien Lake has the WORST lazy river I've ever been on. :bored: There was BARELY any current at all, I got stuck maybe 5 times on there. I'll tell ya, the only reason I'd ever go there again is for their Superman.
