crash, restarts automatically

i start to play and if the game minimizes at all i'm screwed. it gives em a blue screen filled with writing for a period of 1 second before it restarts without asking me. this is unfortunate if anything causes the game to minimize.

also, now i can't connect to my friend who i could connect to two days ago. it just loads and loads without fixing.

last - it says i can't use anything higher than 800x600 cuz my cpu isn't supposed to ----- i have a geforce 6800 gt oc 256 mb pci express graphics card -- $430 -- i don't have problems running doom 3 on highest settings. why would it do that?

yikes this isn't too good.
i take it that this is a fresh install of UT? or was it installed and working fine - then this happened?

ummm basically, it just started doing it when i installed unreal tournament - but its everytime i minimize game...

now its doing it randomly too, so it either must conflict with somethign or have nothing to do with ut.

Ummm I'd recommend getting the latest video card drivers, and make sure you have the newest DirectX.

Other than that, I'd recommend making sure you have the latest UT patch (v436) and if you're using Direct3D, I'd suggest trying OpenGL.
