So far as I know UT2004 Goty doesn't excist.
But do you use a firewall at your computer, (build in WindowsXP?) turn it off and try again.

This is the original UT forum, not UT2004, but since your problem is rather simplistic, we can give you what you need!

This is the link to patch the game after you install it:

http://www.unrealtournament.com/news/view.php?id=2578

Beyond that, just click join game on the main menu and whatever game you are interested in, click the tab, then the server list will come down, and double click the server, away you go. If you have any further issues you may want to post on the 04 forum which was given to you in the thread, they probably know a little more over there.

unreal tournament 2004 goty edition and installed both discs, HE SAYS.

Hmm, had he said all 6 disks and used up an inordinate amount of space on his hard drive all for a crappy pos game, then I'd assume he was talking bout Epic's version of Quake, but he said "both discs", so he must be talking about UTgoty.

You will need a patch over your right eye, and learn to say, "arrrrrr" like a real pirate. Oh, and paint the numbers 436 in white on the front of the patch, or some servers won't let you in.

well, if that is the case, then we know that you are already patched up properly (436)... if you cant get any games to show then it looks like a firewall-esque problem. do you have a firewall installed?
