If you got the regular zip, try extracting the contents of the zip to your desktop & then copy/paste it into the Style/Themed folder in the game.

Delete that steelworx folder and reinstall it, or even better, read the stickies way above this forum on help with custom scenery as that is a common problem with all scenery and newcomers.

it takes some practice. try going into sandbox and experiment with the different types of supports and see what fits best. it may take a while, but in the end it makes your coasters A LOT more realistic.:p

P.S nobody will make a video for something that cannot be explained

First, let me just say, this was a nasty set to work with, due to non-standard placement (unlike walls and roofs). I did as many supports as I could before burn out, and not every single coaster was tested with each support, so you may have to tinker with the various styles to see what worx! I tried to align supports the best I could, but there are many variables involved with the different coaster types, so don't expect to cover every inch of track with a perfect fit.

Don't forget! Many SteelWorx parts work well with the existing RCT3 scenery, which further expands the architectural possibilities!


VERSION 1.2 - MINOR UPGRADE (Support Killer's Underside Now Transparent).
INSTRUCTIONS

You can download either the Automatic Installer, or the Zip file.

Automatic Installer (EXE). Download the SteelWorx.exe file. Click on its icon, and you will be presented with an install screen, which will automatically install SteelWorx to the proper directory: Just click "Unzip", and it will add the folder to the proper directory on your C DRIVE. If you have RollerCoaster Tycoon 3 on a different Hard Drive, then make sure you change the "C" to the Drive letter where your RCT3 Game is installed.

I looked on the atari forums for anything that could help and i tried them, but nothing worked out for me :( anyway, I downloaded steelworx from your site. I tried manually and automatically. Both times I did exactly as the directions said. I unzipped it to anywhere and copied it to C:\Program Files\Atari\RollerCoaster Tycoon® 3\Style\Themed

So, I opened rct3 back up again (I had it minimized, that might be a problem?) and looked under walls and there wasn't anything new there. Is there anything more I have to do? Did I do something wrong?

Trackworx is hosting the files, since Trackworx belongs to Jcat. All files appear to be working from what I can see. People will just have to use a bit of intelligence once they realize the links do not work from here in the Atari forums. When in doubt, go to the source.

The error means you installed it incorrectly. There should be a folder called "Pumper-Steelworx." Cut/copy the folder file and place it here:
<your main disk drive>:\Program Files\Atari\RollerCoaster Tycoon® 3\Style\Themed
I suggest looking at the cs stickies at the top for more information about putting cs into the game.

Okay, I thought I broke the disk drive manual eject hole thingy cause it wasn't working. That's why I was initially mad in the later posts, cause I knew my dad would find out, and that thing is pretty hightech! And you guys were the ones who told me that was the only hope of getting the game out. Well, later on I figured I'd try it one last time (I was really desperate and bored), but I couldn't find the pin I was using before and got an unraveled paper clip. Aperently the pin I was using before was just barely too small cause with the unraveled paper clip, it just popped right out.

I happen to have downloaded this the other day, it is a fine set. One problem, in tight spots the support killer may not work, even when placing multiple. Generally under a track just barely above the ground.

a tip is to shift it below groung so there isn't a black shadow in the ground

I also noticed what goose says, I downloaded the Auto-installer, because I was just lazy the day that I installed it, and now every once and a while, usually 15-20 minutes into gameplay, my game gets minimized randomly, and when I try to get back in, it errors and give the whole RTC3plus.exe has encountered a serious error and needs to close..
And, thats it...

Just so you know, it's not the program - it's you two. Everyone including God has downloaded Steelworx with no problems. Instead of the installer, why not try to download the zip file he has, and do it manually? Perhaps it's a Vista thing with the self installer? In any case, look for the stickies at the top of this forum - there's a topic on how to install custom scenery. I suggest reading it thoroughly. If you don't know how directories work in windows (XP or Vista) it may be time to learn.

Everytime I use the supports and then save my game, and when i go back to play the game again the game freezes when i try to use the sypports again and it crashes to the desktop, But If I start a new game it workd alright or if I take them out of the game.

I'm currently using the Steelworx custom scenery set. I am able to use loop supports that curve around the small loops, but I cannot find any loop supports for large loops that curve around. Would anyone happen to know if any are available ? They look nice so I'm forced to use small loops, and the coaster is almost to fast to loop around the smaller ones.

Event though you did double post, I will say that you have installed the custom scenery set incorrectly. Generally is is caused by creating an extra folder in the file, so go into your style/themed folder. Then go in to the steelworx folder. You should have a style.common.ovl, and as style.unique.ovl in there, if not, then there is an extra folder in there that has to be deleted, so move the folder inside of there out, back up 1, and then paste that folder there. After that, you can delete the empty folder. Also, if you have vista, then you should know that the files show up in a differetn location.

First off, don't double post. For your problem, be sure to save them in the right folder. Program Files<Atari<RCT3<Style<Themed. They should be there.

^ No...Atari does not own his CS sets. He used a program to create them, import them in-game, and then gave them to us to use.

Yeah its a great set but that is the one thing I dont mind it it just doesnt look as good. (Gadget's Coaster Goodies does a better job with this and leaves no shadow.)
