I haven't seen this anywhere in this thread (I admit I might have missed it). In recent weeks I have noticed several people using volcanic themes somewhere in their park and thought of the "green bubbling ooze" from RCT 2, is there any way someone could make something similar to that for use in volcano craters and lava flows? I think it would be helpful, though perhaps not for a huge number of people. If anyone can come up with something for that I would definately download it.

I've noticed people trying to make theatres (myself included) using the in-game seating or benches. They look funny because there are large empty gaps between sets of seats.

Would it be possible to design a working set of seats that also have matching non-working ones to fill in the gaps? That way you could make what looks like a wide row of threatre seats and even get peeps to sit in some of them.

Unfortunately working seats wouldn't be possible on a squarter tile or between 2 tiles, as the peep animation would still be in the middle of the square it was placed it. I'm sure if someone made fake or double length chairs they would work :)

Could be a nice piece of custom scenery for realism.

Yes My Favorite Movie is Underworld and Underworld: Evolutions about the Vampires and Lykens. And i was wandering if anyone can make any custom scenery that portrays the movie. I have been using the Dark Ride Set on alot of it so far. I plan on making every roller coaster in the park based on a Charcter in the movie, such as William, Marcus, Victor, Selen and so on. So if anyone knows of any good scenery or can make any please let me know.

I am looking for some windows - without glass - just the frame. Need the Basics 1/3, 2/3 and Full height, can be just like the In-Game Glass Windows, except only the frames (actually don't want glass ;) ) Frames are only required on three sides, as the bottom is completed from ajoining piece (just like in the in-game glass).

It feeling creatative, several types of frames would be really nice (steel, wooden) just for variety.

Why no glass? Well, for 2 reasons: If I had Glass Frames instead of full glass, it would make underwater park creations easier, and glass blocks light on either side of it (surface or water) so without actual "glass" light from within buildings would actually show through to the street (and vice versa)...

I was hoping this would be my first project when I tried to learn how to do objects for RCT (yes, I'm going to try and expand my wings :D ) but since I'm in here getting Potter that info, well, might as well chuck it out there...

The way I see it, if a rock can be made, can't be hard to place three thin rectangles together and call it a window ;)

As in custom pieces for the rode. As in a strait road piece would be say "2 x 2 (or 3 x 2 so that there is a shoulder to the road and wider than 10 foot lanes) " and there would also be an incline piece and intersection pieces and turn pieces, and inclined turn pieces. And then painting sets for each road piece as well. Also, bus stops (disney style) and stuff like that and parking things like those small grass embankments and other stuff. It is hard for me to explain. But I mean roads you essemble like a track instead of where you lay each individual square down.


I second that request. Railroad tiles (tracks for scenery instead of the real ride)too...If I could do slopes in 3DS or Milkshape, I would do railroad scenery

Some one should make wooden crates like the ones that appear when u tranquilize an animal when they escape in wild there should be a small meadium and large crate alll three shold have 2 versions to them one at a normal angle and another 45degree angle that would be helpful for those adventur themed places to!!!!:D

What about one of those penny-pressing machines you see in Universal and Disney parks? They could be flagged as a passport machine or something so people go up to them.

Also, I don't know if it's possible but -

What about traffic lights for a coaster that when red, makes the coaster wait but when they go green after a short delay, the coaster is catapault-launched?

I'm thinking you could class the object as a sign and use the 'no entry' property then turn that off when the light goes green.

Perhaps you could also set the lights to remain red while a .WAV file is played so you could have a recorded message - of course, you could also do this with a loudspeaker as the coaster approaches the launch point though this would be a good feature.

Just a couple of things I'd like to mention. I think there is a lot of scenery that should have been made a long time ago, but for some reason has not. The first thing I think someone should make to work with all of the letter sets there are I'll show you: ? . , : ; ) ( ! @ # $ % ^ & * _ - ~ / < and > Especially the ! and ?. Will someone please make these?

Another thing I would like is Harry Potter scenery. Scenery that we can use to make the hogwarts castle. The hogwarts express, the flying car, great hall tables, ect. Will someone make these please?

But instead Id like it to say "Xtreame" at the top (instead of rita) With simeler flames and

Custom Scenery Request from/for Steel Works

Jcat could you chop up your fat and thin vert tubes both capped and uncapped into 1/3 sections.

Ex: 1/3 of the origional tube. 2/3 of the origional tube. Then the full tube which is what is already included in the first pack. I've been doing alot of custom support work and it would be nice to have the tubes in smaller sections. :D

Jcat, any chance you can mod your vert and lat tubes so that they can be possitioned not in forth's but in nineth's on a single unit on the grid.

Ex: I could fit nine vert tubes on one 'one unit' square [unstacked].

O' could you also chop the lat tube into thrids as well . . .

Fake, wraped track segments. Basically I would like to see track segments from the game turned into scenery with warped and distorted ends, much like the fake broke track at the very top of Exp: Everest.

How about some rock tubes? Something like marnetmar's rocks on the inside, with a tube on the outside so the rocks don't take up so much room and you could do all kinds of different things. Make tubes compatible with Dingy Slides, Steelworx Size, WildMouse Coasters, Splash Boats, Rafts, Coasters, Paths, anythin' basically. Make half tubes (top and bottom) and full tubes. (all around) :D

Furniture! Not the kinds of things in Screamworx, since that's designed to be creepy, but some Coat Racks, Shop Displays, Display Windows, Open/Closed Signs, Blinds, Benches, Chairs, Couches, TV, Desks, Custom Counter Covers (more options) and Merchandise. Flower Pots, Signs (Tavern, Souvenir, Museum, Gifts, Restaurant) that hang at the door, like Shyguy's Alpine Village. Pretty much anythin' to spruce up shops and sweeten the houses. :D

Please consider the above. And if done, please base them on quarter tiles so they're compatible with all sets (shyguy and other)

As someone who's been working with lights over the past two months, I can tell you, while that would be a cool idea, it wouldn't work out. You can only have so many lights in one section before all of your illumination begins to flicker (try pasting down five or six of Frontier's street lamps next to each other and you'll see what I mean). You can have plenty of lights on your landscape, as long as they're spread out in groups -- with a good deal of space in betwen each cluster which judging by that picture, is completely the opposite.

Another Idea.. Now that trackbeds is out.. and people have started exploring the ideas of using it as flowerbeds as well.. perhaps someone could take the basic flowers in RCT3 and make it custom scenery where you can raise them off the ground to put on top of the trackbeds... I've been playing aroudn with using trees and bushes in the trackbeds... after seeing it used.. and I find that.. it's just not as effective as it could be.. the flowers themselves would be alot better.. but you can't raise them without raising the land itself

Ok I'm currently working on a park of my own creation. The park itself has several different themed areas. I'm looking for theme packs for a kiddy area (the candyland scenery just doesn't cut it), any horror/scary/gothic/ect. and comic book themes. I havn't found anything (as of yet) in the way of kiddy themes. The spooky themes, I'm kind of having a problem with, as of the three packs I have downloaded, only one has worked. The othe two don't come up in the game when I'm designing. As for the comic book pack, it apears in the game, but when I place them all I see is the shadows, that is untill I zoom up close and move the screen back and forth, but even then when I zoom out again they dissapear. This pack also didn't have what I wanted, and was hoping that someone might be able to make for me. That is a) two seperate statues of Spaderman and Venom, but when put next to one anouther they look like they are fighting each other.
b) and a superman statue that looks like the typical heroric stance (with arms on his hips) with his cape blowing in the wind. I do know that the blowing in the wind part might be difficult, but even if it is not "blowing" and is stationary that would be fine. I'm also hoping that they would be about the same hight as the batman they have in the in the comic book pack.
c) a Canadian flag. Couldn't find one anywhere.
d) just about any comic book hero(ine) in a statue form.
I am going to try to build these thing myself, but I am new to this and it would probly take me years to acomplish. But I will try.

I'm trying to make a forest for one my pakrs, but the only trees avaliable are trees that are only 1 unit high. Can anyone make some larger trees then are already avaliable in the original RCT3? I'm talking like 2x2 and 4-6 units tall. Would be great to have an actual forest for a roller coaster to move through.

Also, if how hard would it be to make a moon? It would just need to be maybe a 4x4x4 white sphere with some small craters if possible.

As mentioned above this cannot be done very well :confused: This is because if to many lights are set in one area they begin to flicker. It is mentioned in this thread earlier on in this page.I think I know what you mean

I am making string lights- both colored and white. There is no problem with flicker, as the actual illumination effect comes from a seperate, invisible lightsource. Here's a pic:

Can someone point me in the direction of colorable brick pieces for the game? I am also looking for large brick archway pieces for a project I'm working on. I'm certain that these items are most certainly in an existing pack, I just don't have the time to go through all of them in one measely lunch hour. Any help would be appreciated. In RCT2 there were some light colored brick walls that were perfect but the only brick that comes in the game are the red ones, though I could be mistaken because I've only been playing the game for about 2 weeks.

The only colorable walls that I have discovered are the slate walls or the clapboard walls included in the Mainstreet pack. That has just reminded me, it would be awesome if someone could make 2d objects. This way you could create a scene with trees, houses etc in a confinded space. These pieces would be as thin as a wall. When they are looked at face on from a ride, it would look like a 3d set.

It would be very similar to stage scenery and also how a lot of traditional film animation was done. With the lighting effects people have made you can get a lot of depth with less lag than fully 3D...and since it's in the background who cares.

@TRC-Spanky Thanks Spanky! I actually tried it on a billboard in the background, then added custom stuff to mask the lower edge. I'd still like some 2D masks of tree sillouette to hid the edges of the billboards. They also would be useful to use in a 'forest' area, combining them with 3D trees. I did something similar in a rct2 park with a tree/vine/foliage wall that I added to the woods...made it a lot denser.

All it is; is a giant Smuggler about 2 storys tall, its in a theme park on the island and you can walk under it, you get my gist.

It doesnt even have to be a pirate it can be a smuggler or somthing along those lines, if possible could someone just resize an already made pirate? It would really help!

As far as I know no one can make actual ride entrances yet. However, maybe someone could figure out a way to make zero clearance piece that can fit on top of the current entrances to change it's appearance?

Soaked! has showers you can place in pool areas... so, since you'd only really need such a thing for water parks, you'd be getting that expansion pack anyway, I imagine :)

Something that has really annoyed me is that now I am going to attempt a chinese theme in rct3 but there is a lack of any theming in the game and custom scenery wise. I am having to work with what i have got which is not how i would like it. With the lack of scenery all i can do is

I would really like it if there were those ends rooves, stairs, fancy fences and so much more just to make a chinese so much easier than it is in rct3 atm. Its killing me. I am having to experiment just trying to find pieces that would work for the roof took me a long time. I would be greatful if someone could make a great chinese pack.

And I am sure there are other people who would like this too. If noone does. I am not that bothered since I can just create my way through and get that second best using what i have if you get me.

Here's an idea I don't believe I have seen mentioned anywhere weather it be talking about custom scenery, expansion packs, or RTC4.

Custom 3D text editor for creating 3D signs with different fonts.

I am not a custom scenery designer nor do I have the Patience for it but
what if one of our fantastic custom scenery creators/programmers out there could create an application(or combination of app's) that would automatically model text characters into 3D(the right size for the game) and then export them into the game, think about what kind of custom scenery we all could begin to make just by typing a word and changing the font(and remember, not all fonts are simple a,b,c's , ie... webdings)

With the incredible number of various fonts out there this could be an excellent feature if (knock on wood) any expansion packs or RTC4 ever come out.
