I am making a ride called pazuzu and would like a statue of the god pazuzu.
Here's a pic, it would be about the size of the tribal statue thats comes with RCT but that wouldn't look very good as the main thing. I will use it but this would be way better. Any help would be appreciated thanks. :)

Yeah,
That's the basic idea. Try to make the center and side rails show, because they have those anyway in the real parks. Also, maybe make it look more like 'bed', not a slab. Have you ever seen The Cooks Trackbeds? Like that, only for the car ride. I actually tried those on the car ride but they wouldn't cover the track, so I lifted them up one notch, but then they were to high, the cars wouldn't have even been seen. Here's an example of what I'm thinking of:

Try to make it as close as possible to that.
(Sorry for sounding really demanding, I just tend to become really picky with this stuff.)

I actually don't suggest CS for that, Senor Penguin. Try using the trams track on top, but don't add a station.


Ok, so that definately didn't work. Do you mean to build the trams track over the car ride? All I'm trying to do here is make the car ride look less wooden and more concrete, that's all I want. I'm not trying to build trams or anything. Is it possible to get a copy of a track ride and turn it into custom scenery? Because then the trams track would really come in handy. Although, even then I would have a problem with the small corners on the car ride because they only take up one square, and the smallest the corners get on the trams track is 2x2 squares. So the way it's going, I like MonorailBlue's idea the best, the squares just need to be thinner and look more like a track piece, not a slab, that would be perfect. MonorailBlue! I hope you're listening to me! I really need this custom scenery! (Sorry if I may sound like I'm being a pain, I'm not meaning to.)

Hey I have a couple of requests too that i really need for my park!

1) a 1x1 mount rushmore that has some terrain covers around it so it looks built in on a 2h slope of grass

2) No collision detection ground thingys i.e. rock entrance, metal entrance, wooden entrance, whatever that sort of section of scenery is called (look at my park in the thread link below and see my "metal detector" pic. those items

3) a 1x1 go-kart that is used in the game's tracked rides (using it for those "see if you fit in this seat" things in the beg. of most ride queues)

4) if shy-guy could see my req., stair and curved path covers (the plain ones in main street 4)

5) 1x1/ quartertile wishing well

6) Tall/ short fire torches (ones in-game are lame and are centered on path, i want a no-collision on the corner torches) (for the tall torches, click HERE (http://farm2.static.flickr.com/1230/1110487146_2d447a1131.jpg?v=0))

BJK - Dude, I soooo miss that sphere! Cedar Fair changed the theme and name to Nighthawk this year :mad::cry: I don't get why they did that. When they bought the park, they also got the licenses for the Paramount themed names for the next 10 years. Yet all the Paramount themed stuff has been dropped already. It was the only Star Trek-themed rollercoaster in the world, and it's gone after 4 seasons...

Anyway, as for the Monorail train, I'm not talking about the stream-lined one. I'm talking about this style:

And I'm not talking about scenery either. I want a functional ride train that peeps can board and ride on. I don't like any of the ones available currently, and it's the only design that was not included from RCT 1/RCT 2.

And it should be possible to make them. The modeling concept would be the same as it is for custom scenery, the only differences are that the doors would have to be animated to open and close, and the train would have to be able to follow the track that's laid out for it.

I'd be very very happy if someone gave this a shot ^_^

If Frontier did it, then anybody good enough at programing can do it. I think it might be possible to modify the current coaster cars, but I have not tried it. I am not good at creating Custom Scenery. The only object I've ever created was a giant Rubix Cube.

I am a 3D modeler myself, but I've never done anything like this. Nor do I have the program Sketchup. I'm used to using 3D Studio Max. Anyway, my point is, I have made models for space games that could be installed and work just as well as the models made by the original programmers, or might even be better.

I would assume that the same principles apply here, it's just learning how ride trains work, what scripts are involved, etc. So, a custom train/coaster car can be modeled, but then working out how to get it to work with the tracks and peeps, etc.

Well the main reason behind the streamlining was due to windshear and wind resistance, the classic style as you could clearly see was quite Square and when you have an object on a single elevated rail flying through the landscape at about 45+MPH a big gust of wind could make it teeter a bit.
But RCT3 has alot of things that REAL parks have and they Do not.

^the straight tunnel works wonders UNDERGROUND above ground it's really rather odd looking and isn't quite dark enough to really feel like a subway.

You could try DRP's Lightz, but I've heard those are not very good. If you don't like them, try DRP's ambiance.

I agree we really need an indy set!!!! Using NF's Particle Effects set you can use lava for the bottom pit and then like a statue of Kali in front . Im not sure if a snake pit has been made because im sure i have seen something like it somewere. And Ark of Convent. And for the 3rd film. There could be blades, and the grail table. maybe a bug tunnel, mine cart stuff, some characters! That would be amazing.

LoneWolf, the cutout you did looks really nice, but might I suggest trying it as an alpha?

Cutouts that follow the outline of an object can quickly add a huge number of extra faces. Das Matze and Vodin I think both have posted examples where they used an alpha and then just made numerous copies of it, each placed just a small space behind the other to create depth. They work pretty well, just a suggestion to consider...

You can get away with faking it in RCT3
I did something similar to this in one of the scenarios I built an elevator that led up to a Rollercoaster and after 100 guests used the elevator it seems the PeepAI caught on and sent 90% of the time only guests interested in the Rollercoaster.
This is not a guarantee that the peeps won't go bonkers looking for a way out.;)

I forget which set, I think it's in the dark ride stuff, but there are the pitch black walls that give the illusion of darkness. I was thinking, why not combine that with track beds that way you could cover up the track for dark tunnels and caves and such. It sure would come in handy for many rides.
