Lands Of The Ocean WIP ~~ Misty Quay Construction

i felt like doing something that looked special, so, here is a park i have actually planned:rolleyes:

The basic concept is a small and highly themed park (think Tokyo Disney Sea) with very few, but highly themed attracyions.....without further ado some screens of the entrance building through the smallest of the two mountains....


this is basically the sister park of my Lands Of Wonder....but aquatic themed

Looks like a very good start, I especially like that first screen shot. Fire & Water. :) Are you intending to have a ride go up that mountain or will it be a dramatic scenic centerpiece for the park?

that first mountain is a smaller one, there is a large island mountain being added (keeping in tradition with its sister park) to involve a ride of somesort....though the final idea is not settled upon yet.

well, i can safely say i shall not be making a haunted hotel Darkride, as they are currently broken due to soaked :rolleyes:

also, misty quay isnt going to contain very many rides at all.....just a couple of small rides, but, it is the gateway to the mountain in the centre of the park (as can be partially seen in one of the screenshots)

I really like the feel of this park... but, I'd have to agree with the others above... a dark ride in one of those hotels somewhere would be great... (even if you used another ride other than the broken darkride! ;) )

The buildings look great, and I love some of the color combo's you've got going on!

ok....got bored today, did MORE stuff on the park...this time just the one building though.....Misty Quay Cider House

also....after taking this latest batch of screens i decided Misty Quay has taken on less of a mist and more of a Fog, so thats going to have to be changed....

Also, i downloaded the Caffeen letters packs today, so i can start adding the little details to the Quay (now about 30%)

Very nice. I like the buildings. The colors work really well.
That sign with the support walls looks good too!

ok, done some more work today, the bulk of it being removing all mist emitters from misty quay, and addign about 1/3rd of them back.....the results are much less foggy now, and more of a gentle mist (though the octopus is still foggy, for effect)

also added two new buildings - a small house with a dock out back, and the first station to the LOTO Boat Network, housed inside a Boat House (which is a pain in the ass to build over water)

left do to on Misty Quay is the Cider House ride (still deciding on what to use) and the Western Waterfront and then finishing touches

only think i have to critize is the coloring ... maybe grey, white, other browns would look better than the blue colors? maybe u give it a try ... no matter, otherwise i like your misty quay.

how do you think about some improvements on the external facades of the buildings? fences, posts, or some barngates?

i know this is a wip, but i am missing trees, benches and other scenerie-stuff.

the external facades appear on a couple of buildings, but i decided to leave them for finishing touches for some reason:bulb:

as for the trees and scenery, there are a couple of benches and lamps, but the rest is being saved until i finish the buildings :)

what i see on your waterfront tower is exactly, what i ment talking about improvements on the external facades. i like it!:up:

just a couple of new shots now, as the machine decided it wanted to run really slowly as soon as i started building the Cider House ride (LIM coaster based in the cider house cellar/basement)

i've also spent some time on the park outside the game, by creating a loop of sounds that shall add to the atmosphere, and shall be available in the final download
