Some interesting News; Michael Powell and Craig A. Clark have joined Ark VFX in Sheffield. Ark now features the talents of Stephen Tappin, Andy Turner, Richard Wright, Michael Powell, and Craig A. Clark. Probably the closest thing we can hope to see as far as PS reunions go.

They've already worked wonders. Check out the Sing for Absolution video and you'll see that trademark Particle Systems perfection and style. And a really nice ship featuring a command section... :D

And Mr. Clark's site (F-Nine) has some nice showreel footage from EoC and Powerdrome.

Great to see so many of the Iwar team in one place.

<hopes to see some Iwar influence in their work>

Sing for absolution is an awesomely cool video :D

Now if we can only figure out where Steve has wound up :weird:

Can you say when you'll be allowed to say where it is that you've been working but can't say?

I'm not sure when - or even if - I'll be able to tell you who I work for or what I'm working on.

You are working for the UK government?

I can't think of anything else (in the UK) that wouldn't allow people to even say that they are working for them :weird:

He's probably making a top secret virtual reality version of the Dancing Hampsters, with advanced spinning and bouncing AI, designed to train UK soldiers in anti-terrorism action.

:P

Heh, heh... Didn't know you guys were being tracked, did you? :p :D

Really liked the Sing For Absolution video. Wonderful work there. I just wish I could find a place to purchase it! From what I understand a DVD released in the UK won't play on North American machines. I've a copy of the Colonel Blimp release... but it's the size of a postage stamp. Any advice on where to find a larger version?

What's Ark currently working on? Anything you can tell us about?

I loved the Muse video, thought it was beautiful and atmospheric.

Really surprised by it ;)

I enjoyed building the spacecraft for that video, and it sure looked the biz completed.

As for purchase, Amazon in the place I got it, so I assume a region 1 would be available? Dunno for sure.

Cheers!

FMV for a game title. Not sure if I am allowed to say what, but it has cars, chicks, drugs, guns, and swearing. So it's pretty cool!

Cheers!

If I hear of any I will, but we are only doing the movie for it, so I guess we'll be no wiser on easter eggs than anyone else :D

Cheers!

Though a bit buried, there's some great renders of the high-definition Frog (Light) Miner and the Gas Miner craft from EoC here:

http://www.ark-game.net/

Click on Game Models. Then click the small icon-images to the right on the page. Then click on the image itself for the large version. :)
