Sorry to say, but I don't think this competition will work out so well, seeing as some people know a way to make it so that they have no height limit, maybe if you set other standards, such as maximum intensity, maximum nausea, or some other alternate standard would make it more fair. But good idea anyway.

Also, when you say fastest, do you mean Top Speed, Highest Average speed?

I've had one roller coaster, after adding up the distance, go 17 miles, it took 7 minutes to complete it!

Way too easy! Just make a cliff/ridge at max height, get the fastest rollercoaster available, make the hill as high as you can, make a deep ditch below, then twist to send them over the edge or whatever and boom! Fastest speed available. Try it!

exactly. I got 408 kph by doing just that. only make sure that you also build the station up as high as you can, on top of the ground which is as high as you can put it.

Also remember, that using Soaked to tunnel, there doesn't seem to be a depth limitation (I've drilled over 2,000ft into the ground*.)

This essentially makes the top speed of any coaster infinite.

Nevermind, I found the lower limit. It's around 1,800ft underground. The upperlimit that I found was about 2,100 ft above ground. (Did anyone else notice that the Steel Twister no longer has a height limitation?)

But make it a LIM coaster and have it launch out of the station at the highest speed possible as well! :p

LOL:haha: These are some great ideas. And spinaltaprocks, it wasn't with cheats, It was LIM I think and I launched it out as fast as I could, although the E/I/N wasn't too great! Something like 1/18/14. I can't remember exactly because it was one of the kind of experimental parks that I often delete.

i think this was a glitch but it made the coaster go crazy fast.

Coaster type: Reverse freefall. I launched it at 134mph, then i went up a 550ft vertical section, and dropped backwards down towards the station. But when it reached the photo section that i added, it launched back up the vertical section forwards at over 2500mph.

Using cheats, I built a whoa belly(I still call them that)that went 4000 mph. The cheats were John Wardley and David Braben.

I made by accident a lim in rct3 vanilla that launches from station and then materialises back at start. I forgot to check it's speed and I fixed the glitch but I have a ss of it's stats
