http://img99.imageshack.us/img99/1586/parkmap1kx.jpg

This is version 2 of a park I created before by the same name. Although it has the same name (and the same Hotel), it has very little in common with the previous park. The Soaked expansion allowed me to do some things I had been wanting to do for a long time. The previous version of this park was never released as a DAT file because I never felt it was finished. Well, I learned from my mistake and planned this one out ahead of time, and so I am declaring it finished, and will release the DAT for it as soon as I can find somewhere to host it. You can see the older version of the park here (http://www.ataricommunity.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=442574&highlight=timbermain) if you want.

This was an old-fashioned theme park in the foothills of Denver Colorado, which has since been bought out by some wealthy investors, who are turning it into a quasi-resort. It is relatively small, but still pretty dense. I originally wanted to add a section for water rides, but it has a pretty good frame rate on my system right now and I dont want to ruin it. So I will do a separate water park in the future instead.

NEW - DAT file now available for Download! Click here (http://rapidshare.de/files/3861183/Timbermaine-Hotel.zip.html) to download the DAT file. UnZIP it, and put it in your MY DOCUMENTS -> RCT3 -> PARKS folder.

I'll also post a small tour of each area. Click on the thumbnails to see a larger (800 x 600) image.

http://img199.imageshack.us/img199/1176/lobbydeck1thumb7hi.jpg (http://img199.imageshack.us/img199/8757/lobbydeck18yv.jpg) - http://img199.imageshack.us/img199/5421/lobbydeck2thumb6dl.jpg (http://img199.imageshack.us/img199/7501/lobbydeck20bg.jpg) - http://img230.imageshack.us/img230/643/lobbydeck3thumb5mr.jpg (http://img230.imageshack.us/img230/1430/lobbydeck31iy.jpg) - http://img230.imageshack.us/img230/1786/lobbydeck4thumb3co.jpg (http://img230.imageshack.us/img230/1523/lobbydeck44am.jpg)

The Main Lobby - This is the entrance building. It contains some food and drink stalls and had two exits which lead to opposite directions around the park. It is bi-level with a staircase running up to the 2nd floor, which leads to a deck. The Deck has an ATM, a small pond, and a drink stall. The Tram runs right through the lobby on it's way through the village.

The back stairs of the lobby go down a back stairway and empty out into the Plaza.

http://img233.imageshack.us/img233/8365/plaza1thumb6vv.jpg (http://img233.imageshack.us/img233/5016/plaza16qw.jpg) - http://img150.imageshack.us/img150/3055/plaza2thumb1hi.jpg (http://img150.imageshack.us/img150/2043/plaza26rj.jpg)

The Plaza - The plaza spans the Hotel, the coaster, and borders the Village, and is covered in mauve cobblestones and matching cut stone paths. The main Tram station is here, and the centerpiece is a simple slide ride for the kids. Although it looks like one big area, the paths are separated into two sections by the tram tracks (I really hope the devs add the ability to build paths onto tracks in the next expansion). So the two sections dont interract.

I had considered tunnelling under the tracks, but I wanted the area to look orderly and polished. The main area of the plaza leads into Timbermain Village.

The Central Village - This is a collections of tightly packed buildings with walkways that wind in and out of them. The Central Village is the main nexus of the area, connecting two main pathways. It is patrolled by my mascott, Sexual Harrassment Panda. I have had him in every park I have designed since I first saw him on SOuthPark.

The Zipper borders this area, and has it's own building with an information booth and an elaborate exit that goes over the main path and Tram track. On the north side are some food and drink stalls, and a path that leads deeper into the Village.

Another path exist towards the lake, into the Waterfront area.

The Waterfront - This was the first part of the park I built. It is a quiet area that sits almost on top of the lake. The path leads around and into the building in back, which has another food stall. The part by a lake has a cotton candy stall...this is one of my favorite parts of the park although it has no rides. The path from the Central Village goes past a ballloon stall that is embedded in the same building as the burger stall. The other path leads out to the Parrot House.

The Parrot House - So named because the atrium is occupied by a Parrot...the only remaining part of a Petting Zoo that we were legally ordered to dismantle last year after that unfortunate goat-mauling incident (We all hope you get better soon Timmy).

I wanted to make this feel almost like a mall. It is basically just an indoor path. There is one embedded drink stall and it surrounds the Merry Go Round which is just outside. It has lots of windows with a gorgeous view of the coaster across the lake. It leads acros a bridge over the Tram tracks to the Restaurant.

The Restaurant - This is an indoor area covering two separate paths (one coming from the Golf Course and one leading from the Parrot House to the Skywheel). It has a Buffalo Burger stall, a Sub Sandwich stall, and also contains the entrance to the Miniature Golf Course.

http://img233.imageshack.us/img233/6434/golf1thumb2yn.jpg (http://img233.imageshack.us/img233/4203/golf19lw.jpg) - http://img150.imageshack.us/img150/6135/golf2thumb1yp.jpg (http://img150.imageshack.us/img150/7104/golf20va.jpg)

The Golf Course - The miniature golf course is one of my favorite "rides" in RCT, because it doubles as scenery and every one is different. The path coming from The Village goes around and through the main course.

http://img233.imageshack.us/img233/1751/food1thumb4mo.jpg (http://img233.imageshack.us/img233/5595/food18bx.jpg) - http://img233.imageshack.us/img233/3361/food2thumb9af.jpg (http://img233.imageshack.us/img233/7008/food28gj.jpg)

The Food Court - The theme parks in Denver used to be "real" parks with rides. Meaning you could bring in picnic lunches yourself. Six Flags bought one of them out and you cant do that anymore, but I tried to recreate the feel of it here.

Unfortunately, the People in the game hardly ever use benches anymore, so it usually looks empty. It doesnt help that there are no picnic tables in the game (and no real way to simulate them). It still came out looking kinda cool though.

On the east side of the area is the Bumper car ride...which I have encased in a building. Between them is an umbrella stall and one of the secondary Tram stations (it comes out the other side of the building towards the Waterfront).

Most of the buildings here are just ornamental. You cant go through them.

http://img233.imageshack.us/img233/1653/skywheel1thumb1nj.jpg (http://img233.imageshack.us/img233/5866/skywheel11tp.jpg)

The Skywheel - Nothing major about this area...it is the first part of the wilderness area at the south end of the park. The Skywheel is one of the coolest looking rides to watch at night. They did a good job on it.

http://img233.imageshack.us/img233/4720/backwoods1thumb6uh.jpg (http://img233.imageshack.us/img233/3699/backwoods11lx.jpg) - http://img150.imageshack.us/img150/8935/backwoods2thumb4ny.jpg (http://img150.imageshack.us/img150/9203/backwoods22zv.jpg)

The Back Woods - The main part of my wilderness area. I wanted to have a quiet area in the park with a more outdoorsy feel to it. The only ride here is a ferris wheel, which gets almost no usage.

http://img233.imageshack.us/img233/1694/troll1thumb8np.jpg (http://img233.imageshack.us/img233/1756/troll13fj.jpg) - http://img233.imageshack.us/img233/5263/troll2thumb6mv.jpg (http://img233.imageshack.us/img233/5321/troll25mn.jpg) - http://img150.imageshack.us/img150/2328/troll2thumb0yt.jpg (http://img150.imageshack.us/img150/862/troll28cp.jpg) - http://img150.imageshack.us/img150/6031/troll3thumb4lf.jpg (http://img150.imageshack.us/img150/1309/troll39qo.jpg)

The Troll Bridge - Just a bridge I amde over the creek that feeds into the lake. I am really happy with how it came out (there was a more elaborate version in the previous park I made).

http://img233.imageshack.us/img233/3748/boardwalk1thumb8yd.jpg (http://img233.imageshack.us/img233/2416/boardwalk16is.jpg) - http://img233.imageshack.us/img233/3645/boardwalk2thumb1ll.jpg (http://img233.imageshack.us/img233/3820/boardwalk29tn.jpg) - http://img233.imageshack.us/img233/2861/boardwalk3thumb0wr.jpg (http://img233.imageshack.us/img233/8427/boardwalk38uo.jpg) - http://img150.imageshack.us/img150/9293/boardwalk4thumb5vm.jpg (http://img150.imageshack.us/img150/9721/boardwalk46al.jpg)

The Boardwalk - Coming out of the area by the Troll bridge and looping in and out of the coaster supports, I intened this to be a lot like the waterfront. Obviously it isnt quite as quiet with the coaster screaming overhead, but I still thought it looked cool.

This area contains the Swan Paddle Boat ride, which is encased in a boat house I made.

The boardwalk rises up into a complicated elevated pathway, past the coaster entrance/exit and past the Enterprise back into the Plaza.

The Wild Weasel - This is the only coaster in my Park. It is a wooden coaster with excitement/intensity ratings around 8.0. I built it soley for looks...I wont try to increase it's stats unless it also adds to the atmosphere of my Park.

It's supports serve as a framework for the complex paths I have looping through it. The only place left is the Hotel.

The Hotel Colorado - This is a recreation of the same Hotel I made in the last version of this Park. It covers three main areas...the Rec Center, the Pool, and the main Hotel.

NEW - These images have been updated...I added final touches to the Hotel, like decks for the rooms and a more detailed roof.

The Rec Center is intended for barbeques and stuff. Although it is functional (it contains a lemonade stall and the pathways connect to the main paths) it doesnt see much use. It is mostly ornamental.

The Hotel contains another elevator. It has three "stops"; the main floor, the 2nd floor, and the spa on the roof. The main floor connects to a path that leads across a courtyard to the Main Lobby building. The second "floor" is really just a path that leads to the pool area (and back out to the Plaza). The top floor contains a spa, which see's no use except from my Park Inspector. I have no idea why...I am guessing that the weather is too hot or something.

In addition to the elevator, there is a winding stairway in the core of the building that is fully functional, with lighting, dorrs to rooms, and mini-atriums at each level. It does kinda suck that there is no way to get rid of the railings on elevated paths...it sorta ruins the effect.

The Pool area is mostly unremarkable, but a very popular ride. I had to raise the prices quite a bit to keep people out of it...at one point it was packed with over 50 people. I added it for ornamental reasons. Some people still prefer the old version here (http://www.ataricommunity.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=440331&highlight=timbermain). I liked the balconies, but I like this version better because it has a real pool, and I was able to polish the interior more.

Thats it for now...I will post some night images as well as a link to the Park file for download.

Zip the file first- makes it smaller and should then be able to go on any server. If you're using Windows XP, you can just right click the dat file and click Send To > Compressed Folder. This is the same thing as a zip.

oh, very very nice park, BTW.. :)
