Wheres the better than D3 option?

Anyway, it'll probably be good, I have a good feeling about this game (I also had a good feeling about D3 early on when the lie factory was in full force, but the info seems more attainable this time). Won't be as good as GTA, I don't think Reflections is open minded enough to make a game full of stuff that has nothing to do with the plot but is fun anyway. That said, not all of the extra crap in GTA is fun either, but at least they tried.

I thought D3 would be better than GTA, so I will say better than GTA.

For me any game is better then GTA. Why because I do not like GTA, and i dont like that much violence. SP CT RULES ALL GAMES.:D

Yeah I really loved what they did with Chaos Theory. The graphics, controls, gameplay, and sound were all perfect. I really loved the sound of the thunder in the first level and the AI is much smarter than before. I have to say that it's alot better than most of the games I've played in my life. It sure is a major improvement over Splinter Cell and Splinter Cell Pandora Tomorrow. If u really liked Chaos Theory then u should join my Splinter Cell Forums.Click here (http://s11.invisionfree.com/Splinter_Cell_Forums/) to go my Splinter Cell Forums.

BETTER THAN GTA because I really love Driv3r and still play it every day i play my ps2 and all these new aspects will keep me hooked forever. Also every online racing game always sells good and that fan base will pick up DPL just for that feature so imajine the other people who pick it up for all the features and good reviews it WILL receive. Alot of people will pick it up just for the details they released now so I cant wait till we have more details. Just read my signature and you'll see how i feel. :)

And to think that the people here thought it wouldn't be better than GTA when i posted a topic similar to this. Hmmmm...... so now everyone agrees. Hooray!!! Although I would rather see a driver game with Tanner.

I'm keeping my hopes up; better than GTA.

Yeah I think that the same. By the looks of the characters, graphics, storyline, weapons, and vehicles, I think that Reflections can make that happen.

I said better then GTA. Even though I don't want to compare Driver with GTA. But I do think I will like DPL more then GTA, considering the fact that I'm a hardcore Driver fan.

GTA SA had so much usless things to do in it, like races and finding cars for a list to complete. I found all that no fun at all. When in Driver Parallel Lines, I would find much more fun to do then GTA. All GTA is trying to do, is show how much stuff they can have all at once in a game. When Driver Parallel Lines has a goal for the gameplay it-self.

Hopefully, just as FUN as GTA. I'm not looking for a GTA clone, and will be happy with the focus on Driving in Driver: PL. Hopefully, DPL will bring new driving thrills to video games.

I'd like to say this: I'm not going to even anser the poll because it's obvious they dont want the game to be anything like GTA, and I belive them.
GTA and Driver are in two different categories, they will both rock (i dont even have any GTA games, but I have played them and they are quite fun in their own way)

I'm sure that it will. It all depends on how DPL turns up when it hits the stores and if D5 does even better. I think that Reflections will perhaps never stop making driving games since they love doing it so much. It all started with the Destruction Derby series.

Well said! :jumpclap: Although i do like GTA SA i think that Driver PL will be much better also, due to the gameplay, graphics and physics. I do think that it would have been better if TK was able to jump though, i dont no why but i miss not being able to jump (the demo finally arrived in the UK :D)

john cena
02-25-2006, 04:23 PM
Well jumping isn't all that important. It would've been a lot better if there were boats in the game and if you were able to swim.

Mr. Tanner
02-25-2006, 04:23 PM
When I first heard of Driver 4 being announced. All the facts they had then were it was going to take place in New York, it'll be out for PS2, XBOX, and PC in March '06, it would be like GTA where it loads once to whe whole city, and would be more of a driving game, rather than a shooting game. I thought we'd have all the features from Driv3r back. I thought the boats, jumping, and swimming would be back, but revised, and since it was New York, I thought they'd include drivable trains and subways too.

john cena
02-25-2006, 04:25 PM
Yeah. It's a shame that Reflections didn't return with any of the good features that were in Driv3r.

Mr. Tanner

Jumping ain't too important. Think about, do you jump everyday? Not really. It will help to put it in there, in case if you fall off of something, or to go higher onto something.

john cena
02-25-2006, 04:52 PM
Yes, but I don't think that Reflections would last any time on making parts of the game that are accessible when jumping.

PoLoMiNt06
02-25-2006, 06:07 PM
Well i dont know why but i really wish you were able to jump and i wish they would put a sprint button in because i think on the demo, TK runs really slow and it would be nice to be able to run a bit faster, even if it is only for a short while, like GTA. But saying that i really enjoy playing the demo, i think just the demo is better than driv3r.

john cena
02-26-2006, 01:33 AM
Sprinting in the game is really necessary, especially when you're being chased and it would really suck if you couldn't run any faster.

Comaro
02-26-2006, 06:10 AM
TK runs fine to me.

02-26-2006, 11:43 AM
Well then that's very good. I guess that we won't be seeing too many problems going on in DPL.

Well I'm pretty sure that they've all of that covered up, meaning that there's nothing to worry about.
