...you ever been forced to sit next to on a ride?
On Shockwave at SFoT there was this really annoying guy, and he kept asking, "Which one is better, Batman or Shockwave?" and wouldn't stop talking, and then the freaking moron started screaming like a little girl on the 60 foot drop and the loops. Then his friend came up to him when we were unloading and asked, "Does this have loops?" like a joke "Well, duh, you can't see them?" he replied.
What a freaking moron.

This thread should be good, but I don't really have any. I guess a kid with headphones on, on Great White, and was talking to me the whole ride.

If I don't sit with any of my friends or family, then I sit alone. Unless I'm queueing in the single rider line, then usually the people I sit next to are nice.

Idve said "ive seen a rollercoaster before, wrapped round your neck."
This man i had to sit next to on nemesis kept asking "have you been on this before""is it good", i answered yes for both, he asked me 4 times in 1 minute.

Wasn't sitting next to him, but was standing in line for Mantis next to someone who was trying to show off by talking about all the coasters he's been on at Kentucky Kingdom and how they compared. At one point, he was saying (to no one in particular -- he just kept jabbering!), "Have you been on Chang? It's like twice the height of this one." I turned to him and indicated I had been to Kentucky Kingdom one week earlier, and Chang was just a few feet taller than Mantis. Having been discovered as a fraud, he then quickly shut up, making the rest of the wait far more peaceful!

Yes! I can tell you one or the only one! It was at Disneyland and Space Mountain just reopened but this was a night and my third time riding it, I was telling a group of people that SM was great and much better than before(BTW this is a CA if u didnt know)and all of a sudden this really random guy came out of no where and heard what I had to say and he said I am going to ride with you, because I was awesome.I swear to you he must of been on drugs on the way how he acted, very very hyper and extremely stupid, and once we were on the ride he yelled all the way and someone must of farted ont he ride and it smelled like horrible eggs. I was nice enough to let him sit next to me but next time I wont let that happen.

Well, after visiting my dear old SFAW for one last time, I was quite shocked. On Batman: The Escape, it's one of those old Stand-Up Twisters, and the dude was an idiot. He acted like he knew everything about rollercoasters.
H=Him(Idiot)
N=Nerd(Me)
H="Man, I've been on every ride here and at Fiesta Texas, but this ride is huge!"
N="Not really, it's not that big."
H="Yes it is. It's bigger than the Texas Cyclone."
N="So. The Texas Cyclone isn't that big. Have you rode the Rattler or Superman: Krypton Coaster?"
H="Yeah."
Y="Well, the 80 degree main drop on Superman is about 140 feet, and Batman's drop is 75, so Superman's drop is roughly twice as big."
H="Rattler is smaller."
N="What are you talking about? Rattler is like 180 feet tall and looks even bigger than it is because it goes up the side of a cliff! The drop may be like 100 feet, but it is still bigger than Batman!"
H="What are you a rollercoaster freak?"
N="Yes, but I make sure to get my facts straight first."
That dude was an idiot. Plain and Simple

Well, usually when they ask that question, I just say "Well, I'm a member of ACE, America's Coaster Enthusiasts, moderator on Coaster Force, one of Europe's largest roller coaster websites (full of brits and a couple yanks like me :rolleyes: ), and still have all my season passes to Cedar Point dating back to 1996.

1996? Rookie! ;)
Just teasing. That's very good, although I've got my season passes dating back to 1989, plus souvenir park maps for every season dating back to 1975 (plus I have one from 1972, don't know what happened to the ones from 1973 and 1974), and I've visited the park every year starting in 1970, where the very first ride I went on was the Mill Race, which stood in the spot now occupied by Raptor.
I did see a park map from either 1973 or 1974. One of my office mates had one. However, I couldn't definitely identify the year. I even checked with Cedar Point, and did some research at the Town Hall Museum with the help of Cedar Point's staff, and we simply couldn't figure out what would be a distinctive difference between a 1973 map and a 1974 map, so the mystery remains unsolved! We knew it was before 1975 because Cedar Point Cinema was not on the map. We also knew it was 1972 or later because Jumbo Jet was on the map. It had a difference in the Jungle Larry area that happened in 1973, so we knew it was not a 1972 map. But, we just couldn't nail down if it was '73 or '74. Oh well!

When I did the naked riding World Record on Nemesis last year, the guy who sat next to me was playing with himself in the coaster station...didn't really want to strike-up any sort of conversation with him on-ride!
By the way the new world record is listed in the Guinness Book of Records 2006, which was out in the UK last week. There is no photo (unfortunately) just a small write-up....page 207 I recall.

Well i can't really pin-point who was the most annoying, just because there has been so many. However i can recall the day which had the best crowd out of the year, and that was Pearl Day 2003 at Six Flags over Georgia.
Pearl Day happens during Gay Pride week in Atlanta (my personal favorite holiday) and on Pearl Day all of the Priders visit Six Flags over Georgia, just to have a good time. I was working at Dejavu that day, and I never had a single day of nothing but positive attitudes, and just overall good moods the entire day. No drama no nothing. It was the easiest busy day I ever worked in my life, and I, along with my co-workers had a blast that day. Not to mention I got so many phone numbers of HOT guys in the process!
The next day, it was back to ignorant angry red-neck guests who think they knew anything about everything that goes on in the parks operations.....sigh....

Ha so that is you........I was just going to post that I sat next to some freak riding naked. Scared the crap out of me man!:mad:
Just Joking lol:noob:
Anyway mine os from a waterpark. Me and my friend(who BTW is supposed to be some sort of ladies man and flirts with everyone and every thing) was riding one of those big round tube things at Blizzard Beach. Anyway this girl gets in the ride and my friend introduces himself and me. I mean he got up and shook her had and all she laughed and all......THEN a big hairy man in his late-30s early-40s gets in. Apparently this was her dad:eek: Now my frien d had alredy sit down beside her......needless to say he got up. Now this is want makes it the annying part. The man stared at us ALL the way down, I mean murder stare. Freaked me out all the way down. For some reason I guess I don'y like people staring at me. And I guess fathers don't like 16 year old boys getting friendly with their "hot" suntaned bikini "hot" wearing daughters:down: But he best part about it is that we saw her and her family a few times that day and everytime she would look over her shoulder and smile at us. ;) I am done

Tell me about it hillibilly, I am also 16, and because of the whole youth reputation, we get some dirty looks, and not that good ones.
Here’s a story for you, it happened in “Alton Towers”, while in the agonising queue for “Rita”. As many of you know, people carve their names into the wooden poles in the queue, but we came across this one pole that read something about the French being great. From then on, I start bad mouthing the French (as all Brits would do in that situation), an hour or so on we started talking to this busty young girl in front of us (well my best friend started talking first).
As it happened to be, she was French, after all that time of me bad mouthing them, she was one of them. So I guess I was that annoying person, quite ironic.
This other story is one that many people here would of witnessed. When young, “b!tchy”, arrogant girls are on the same ride or train as you, all they do is scream their heads off. When we were on “Shockwave” at “Drayton Manor”, these 3 girls were in the row ahead of us (we were on the back row), and as you come out of the station you do a low dive into the lift hill. As you could of guess, they started screaming form there, so my mates and I started laughing at their failed attempt to get attention. Although there hissing screams did leave us with headaches.

People who scream needlessly are very annoying, something that really does my head in, and you get it alot at alton towers, is people speaking in foriegn languages, i just get a wierd sort of insecure feeling, because the maybe talking about me.

I haven't had too many bad ride experiences but there was this one time at Disneyworld. Throughout the day at Magic Kingdom, it had been raining and of course all the losers were running to buy their stupid yellow ponchos, but unfortunately for me I got stuck behind one of these losers on Big Thunder Mountain Railroad. The guy didn't tuck his freakin poncho down and like right after the first drop the thing comes flyin up right in my face. The WHOLE ride I was staring at this stupid piece of yellow tarp as it was poking and prodding me in the face. It wasn't too bad but I was kind of interested in looking at all the scenery surrounding BTMR, but so much for that.
Another time at Busch Gardens Tampa, I was getting ready to get in line for Montu when some kid comes out yelling "It's broken down, the ride isn't working". And slowly the line waiters came out and left.So I looked up and the ride was stuck at the very beginning of the lift hill. But I didn't care, I had to ride this, so I got in line and walked almost to the very front of the line, and that's when the train started moving again. It wasn't even broken down, someone forgot to put their seatbelt on or something so the safety sensors or whatever stopped the ride. I know that wasn't annoying or anything, but it was just kind of funny to me.

At least Alton Towers is near a bunch of countries within a few hours that would speak foreign languages. How do you think it feels at Cedar Point, over 1000 miles from any place that speaks a foreign language, and you hear like 5 around you?
But easily most annoying people, the weiner kids who hold the place in line for their friends/family etc. And not just weiner kids really, but the whole family. Nothing is more fun though than making some mom squirm when she lets her kids cut in line, then you cut them down (audibly of course) about breaking park rules and what a great example of how to be a major tool.

ah well some kid at school was talking with his friends about Busch Gardens and he says something like Apollo's Chariot is the biggest coaster in the US. So I being the semi-coaster nut i am walk over and have to explain to him Top Thrill Dragster is the biggest(its before Kingda Krap went up) and if he says something stupid like that again ill hit him with a shovel.

I've had a number of annoying experiences in WDW, the highlites being a queue jumper on Test Track ('my family is just over there' - 'then why don't they come to you') and Tower of Terror (guys being cocky then screaming worse than a baby, and then being cocky afterwards aswell!)

2 funny ones, not necessarily(sp) bad
all at carowinds
1. i was front row on top gun, and the whole time up the lift and from the station, this guy in the 4th row kept yelling "G FORCE G FORCE G FORCE G FORCE". then when we got to the top, he screamed 'g force *************!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
2. in line for river rapids. 3 girls nudge through the whole croud saying "excuse me, excuse me". they got to the front, and got on a boat, and left.

I was on Goliath (Magic Mountain) when we just started climbing the lift hill this guy was Screaming like Crazy....like just drank a dozen cups of sugared coffee Crazy...Even after the ride was over while we were waiting in the brake run for the people in the station to depart he still was screaming his head off.

i hate when you go on a ride that really isn't made for screaming, but still a group of girls gets on and decides to scream for fun everytime you hit a little bump.. and when i say scream i mean SCREAM! this is especially annoying at disneyland.. there is a difference between screaming from excitement and screaming because you are just trying to be loud! (and most people on thunder/space/splash mountain fall into the ladder)
i knew after the theme park that my ears would be sore from all teh sound, what i didn't know is that i would go deaf from a 30mph coaster!! c(= j/k

you know, what bothers me most about people in lines, is that the person that is being annoyed 9 times out of 10 will sit there and take it, and then complain about it for the rest of the day...or weeks and months later. it never hurst to ask someone nicely to stop being so offensive. most of the times when i am annoyed in lines i say somethine, and it resolves the problem, and usually i end up carrying on a good conversation for the rest of the wait with them. it's not so hard to tackle these problems people. you just have to have some balls to say your piece. they have no problem saying/doing theres. whats to stop you?
