Since SFNO was destroyed by Katrina, and considering SFAW is in Houston, do you think it will be destroyed? I don't, because SFAW is built is so far above the road. Frankly, I think Houston will fair 100% better than N'Awlins against a Category 4 Hurricane because N'Awlin's levees broke and it is way below sea level. Galveston and Houston are above sea level. Right time to get outta dodge, huh? My family is coming up to my house in Dallas right now.

It'll probably stand, but will it matter?

Yeah, cause that would kill ANY chances of anyone saving the park because I've heard some rumors courtesy of www.sixflagshouston.com that Cedar Fair is IN FACT looking into buying AW.

Yea, but I heard that good ole Dan Snyder called up Cedar Fair in an effort to save SFAW. U can see it at www.pointbuzz.com .
Again, Kad, best of luck, and may God be with u and ur family through the hurricane. It just seems like wherever the New Orleans people go, they're getting hit with the C5's. Rita is the 3rd strongest storm recorded in history, and getting stronger. Good Luck:D.

Well, it's not final, and I frankly think this is just a petty attempt for him to gain some Houston fanboys so he can take over Six Flags and people will be like, "He saved Astroworld, he can save Six Flags!".
Get my point?

But Cedar Fail L.P. Still dosn't have enough money to buy out SFI. While they are in Debt, they would want to sell the parks for much more then they are worth. Kinda like real estate. Here in MD, every year the average amount of value added to a 4 BR, 4BA house is $100,000 when the house's aren't even worth that much. And if they did, they would just fall into the pit of RED
