I know I saw it on the News, I live in KC, and it is going to be by the speed way, which is about a 20min drive away on the highway.

Hmmm, it'll be interesting to see how Cedar Fair responds at Worlds of Fun/Oceans of Fun in Kansas City, Missouri. I'm not particularly familiar with the area -- how far apart are the WOF/OOF site and the upcoming Schlitterbahn site?

Schlitterbahn is a unique brand with a great signature product. It will be difficult for many parks to compete for that market. I never thought I'd be excited to visit that part of the country! Their New Braunfels and South Padre Island locations are incredible... I managed to take some panoramic shots from inside the park during my recent visit. The Transportainment concept is a remarkable and very different kind of waterpark experience. Rollercoaster Tycoon 3: Soaked should have tried harder to emulate the elements seen in Transportainment; especially with regard to "Lazy Rivers" and "Aqua Blaster" coasters. The waterslide based attractions of that expansion should have been given the ability to exit riders into the Lazy Rivers rather than only into a Swimming Pool. "Soaked! needs an expansion."

I remember World of Oz park that was going to be built very near to KC, about 10 to 15 miles away from where I live. if anyone remembers what I am talking about.

While the big coasters are easily my favorites, I'll say that Schlitterbahn in New Braunfels is lots of fun. I really liked the newer 2 sections of the park. The older 2 sections, in my opinion, are a disasterous accident waiting to happen, however. Lots of people wind up in fairly small areas where lifeguards couldn't possibly reach in an emergency, and where it'd be nearly impossible to even tell that someone was trapped under the water until after the park closed.
If the KC park is built like the newer sections of the New Braunfels Schlitterbahn, then the folks in KC will have a really fun place to visit.
