Id think Id make a darkride thread, because I love them! There always mysterous! I mean even if it looks small The fancade always draws you to go inside! I mean dont you ever get a feeling like you want to know whats inside? One of my favorite darkrides ever are Trimper Haunted House at OC Maryland, and Haunted Mansion at Knoebles! One other I liked was Dante's Inferno! I mean I just like them! I love the tricks! I mean when your inside it keeps turning and going up and down in the dark and you get confused intil a bat with a siren scares you, or a trick waterfall. So give me youy darkride expearence or ride throughs!

1. Spiderman (Islands Of Adventure)
2. Rockin' Roller Coaster (It's dark:p  )
3. Pirates of the Caribbean
4. Haunted Mansion
5. Umm, Space Moutain (It's Dark:p  )
Woah Déjà Vu. :haha:

[COLOR=red]well.... This may not count as a darkride, but the hershey's factory tour is my favorite. If that does not count, then that pirates of the carabean one.

Please don't double post. Delete one of your posts, please. If you mess up again, hit the edit button instead to re-posting.
And I don't think a ride where you look at fake chocolate could be better than a Disney darkride.

Wow, calm down buddy. A double post is okay if it was an honest mistake, plus a person has a right to their own opinion.
I personally enjoy Soarin' if that counts but a true dark ride, I enjoy Peter Pan.

What do you mean calm down? I wasn't being mean. I was explaining that you shouldn't double post. YOU need to calm down and stop jumping to conclusions.
And I have a right to MY own opinion, also.
I would need to calm down if I said this:
-----------------------------------------------------------
HEY! Don't double post, ya dipstick! Friggin delete your other post before making a new one! I SWEAR! People are so stupid sometimes! AHHH!
And how the hell is a ride about fake chocolate better than a Disney ride!?! HUH?? TELL ME!
------------------------------------------------------------
See.... there's a difference

Undermining someone else's opinion isn't appropriate. You honestly need to stop this, it's a Roller Coaster Tycoon forum, not a job interview. How does 1 persons double post effect you so bad that you need to call someone on it? Can you not get on with life when someone double posts? The person is new and may not understand everything and the last thing a new person needs is a person strolling around on their high horse knocking them down. I mean come on, you are doing it for the sake of making yourself look very high and mighty. Get off your high horse and let others express their own opinions without your smart alek comments.
Thank you.

I was not rude with what I was saying. There is a rule against double posting at these forums. It needs to be inforced. How is a new person supposed to learn the rules if nobody tells them about them. I wasn't being rude or being a smart alek. YOU were jumping to colclusions and making me look like an @$$. That is innapropriate. I am a more experienced member in these boards than most, and it shouldn't be a problem if I remind people of the rules. I was kindly offering suggestions on what to do next. I know I am not a moderator, but that doesn't mean that I am forbidden from inforcing forum rules. Every veteran of these forums has a right to keep tabs on newer members and make sure that rules are not broken.
I was not acting rude with my comment. I was simply letting giga know that double posting is rule-breaking so that he/she won't get in trouble in the future.

Hmmm.... I haven't been on many dark rides. (For example, I've never been on a Disney one. That'll change in November.) However, in the interest of getting this thread back on topic, here's my top five list.
1: Curse of DarKastle - Busch Gardens Williamsburg.
2: Blazing Fury - Dollywood
3: Monster Plantation - Six Flags Over Georgia
4: Scooby Doo and the Haunted Mansion - King's Dominion
5: Dark Ride - Lake Winniepesaukah
1: Think of an upgraded version of Spiderman: The Ride at IOA and you're on the right track. Great visuals, great effects, great story, incredible theming... overall, an incredible ride.
2: Yea, it's old and cheesy, but it's the only one I've ridden that's a coaster as well. And the effects aren't that bad, considering their age.
3: On the list for nostalgia reasons, if nothing else. It is badly in need of a redesign, as the animatronics are getting very old and worn out.
4: The only Sally ride I've been on. Well themed, especially the outside of the ride, but the interior could use more animatronics and effects. Gun game is fun.
5: Well, the only carnival dark ride I've been on. Will definitely drop off this list when I hit Disney this Thanksgiving.

I haven't been on many dark rides. Here's all I can think of.
Phantom Theatre (defunct) - PKI
Scooby Doo and the Haunted Castle - PKI
Monster Plantation - SFOG
Skull Mountain - SFGAdv
Disaster Transport - CP
My favorite of these was probably Monster Plantation. It was really the only one that had 3D animatronics. The others were just complete darkness or in 2D. Not that they were bad though.

Personally, I was very dissapointed with the ride. I don't think Busch Gardens should've gone with 3-d.... Anyway, I thought the storyline was reeeeaaaalllllyyy cheesy. I mean, the dudes mom comes out in the end and says, "Now you can't get them!" or something lame like that. C'mon, I'd have rather that prince guy have captured us and gobbled us up, that would have been cool.
But my cousin was with us, and he lost one of his eyes when he was little, and anyway, he couldn't view the 3-d since you need both of your eyes for it to work....
Plus the hour wait for it didn't help much either...
