Are you sure they just haven't done it yet? I looked a couple minutes ago and this forum was gone. I guess I caught it right as the move began.

So, are all the Amusement Park Industry threads gone for good? Not that it's a big deal, but I went from around 500 posts to 100.

I looked at it at first and was like...Okay, but I think it was better to combine 1&2. They must of just did it in the last hour.

Yes I believe we have lost most if not all of the Amusement Park threads. Sorry guys. But at least you have a nice squeky clean forum to start posting in! Enjoy!

I lost a few posts, too, but not nearly as many as you.
Its funny...I was just thinking earlier at how this forum had grown and that I was glad they weren't deleting it.:bored:

It is just you. ;)
I too found it odd to come to any empty forum. However, having a clean forum will be great.
OT: Harpo, are you going to CP this weekend? I haven't seen you since MiA last year.

Actually, I went to CP last weekend. My sister and niece were supposed to come into town, and could only do so last weekend, so I made reservations at The Breakers. Unfortunately, my sister and niece had to cancel, but my fiancee and I still went, along with some members of her family.
I'd like to go back for closing weekend, but I just don't think I have enough time. I've got a lot to do with trying to get my house ready to sell, get a new house, plan a wedding, work at my engineering job, and study for my MBA. Ugh. But, if a miracle should happen causing me to win the last ride on White Water Landing, I'll certainly find a way to get to The Point for that!
Incidentally, I met the General Manager last weekend. Very nice person. He wouldn't say anything for certain about what's coming up in the near future. And, if he had told me something in confidence, I'd completely keep it to myself. However, I got the feeling that Cedar Point won't be without a log flume for very long.

I was going to go last weekend, but with rain and cool temps in the fdrecast, I decided not to go. I don't mind the cold, but being cold and wet is not fun. I had a similar experiance at the Point in May of 2002 and I do not want to repeat it again.
The forecast is looking good for Saturday, so I definately will go this Saturday. The last time I rode WWL was May 2003. I was at the Point in July of this year but did not get a chance to ride. After I heard that CP would be closing WWL, I started looking at going to CP one more time this year.

The forecast was pretty gruesome for last weekend. Luckily, it only rained on Friday evening. Saturday and Sunday were a bit chilly, but dry.
In case I don't get selected for the WWL last rider, I did ride it on both Saturday and Sunday in order to say goodbye to it. I'm going to miss that ride.
My fiancee was wondering if we might be able to get one of the WWL logs for our home to use as a garden planter! Somehow, I doubt Cedar Point would go for that, but it'd be a neat idea.

It figures that wasn't any rain last weekend. I wanted to go last Saturday but it was not meant to be. However, I have heard that the Coasterbuzz Podcast will be taped live at Red Garter Saloon on the 30th. So I will go on the 30th instead of the 29th.
