My cousin told me that you'll be able to drive to boarderlines of other states like New Jersey and said that he read about this in his Game Informer Magazine. Is this true?

I have a subscription to Game Informer, and have all the issues, and I can assure you that it does not say anything like that in any issue. Sorry.

Ok. Thanks for pointing that out albrozdud3.

Can you go to any other borderline besides just the one of New Jersey?

matt__jon

Only New Jersey, as other states are too far away, NJ is just over the East River (I believe thats the right river, could be wrong, I'm guessing based on Seinfeld episodes.)

I think its cool they have NJ in it, that way they can have all the bridges and tunnels.

BTW, its not the whole state of NJ, just in case anyone was getting that idea, just the coast pretty much

john cena

Well that's okay. At least we still will get the chance to see part of a state.

And speaking of Seinfeld. Did you know that Jerry's apartment is actually in California? I bet that you didn't know that cuz you didn't want The Seinfeld Story on TBS.

Yes, its true, they filmed in LA, however the tour that the real life Kramer does (the guy Kramer is based on) is actually in NYC.

john cena
11-28-2005, 08:25 PM
Yeah I know. They filmed Jerry's house in LA while they filmed the rest of the show in New York City.

It's true. To cross from Manhattan to New Jersey you would cross: The Washington Bridge, Lincoln Tunnel, Train or ship. I didn't see the map of D:PL NY and NJ. I'm just using a real map. Hope that helped!

john cena
12-16-2005, 07:46 PM
Well that's for the info Mr.Tanner.

Good for you, show us a pic.

Mr. Tanner
12-16-2005, 10:49 PM
Well I live in the greater New York area. I've crossed the Washington Bridge before. I might of made a mistake about the Lincoln Tunnel. It can be the Holland Tunnel. Trains run from New York to Philadelphia and Wahington D.C. on the Northeast Corridor under the Hudson River to Penn Station. You can take a ferry ride across the Hudson River too. I've also been on the Intrepid Aircraft Carrier at Pier 82. So I got a whole view of NY and NJ on the Hudson River. If you want a real map. Try mapquest.com to get your maps. Or find a city map you can get at the store. Hope that helps.

Mr. Tanner
12-16-2005, 10:52 PM
I believe the New Jersey Cities will be: Bayonne, Jersey City (Deffinetly), Hackensack, Hoboken, I doubt it but maybe Newark. New York Cities will be: Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, Bronx, and Staten Island.

Mr. Tanner, at the risk of being given a warning, I suggest you don't double post, but merely edit and add what you want to say on you first post. It is against the rules, and it would be a shame to lose a fan of Driver.

Mr. Tanner

Sorry Getaway man. I just want to help you guys. I'm also new here. I'm only doing my best.

Actully Matt_Jon, Southwestern Connecticut is very close to NYC. Ever hear of Stamford of Greenwich, CT? Fairfield county is the county for those cities.

Mr. Tanner
12-17-2005, 08:39 PM
I see some of you watch Seinfeld. Did you see the Poofy Shirt episode? Did you see the shirt on Display? I did, it's at the american entertainment part of The Smithsonian Museum in Washington D.C.

john cena
12-18-2005, 12:16 AM
Yeah that one was so funny, especially with Kramer's friend who Jerry couldn't understand what she was saying.

Mr. Tanner

I hope there are extensions to Southwestern Connecticut. My homestate! It's VERY close to New York.

I'm boarding a train bound for New York tomorrow. I'll tell y'all how it went!

john cena
12-29-2005, 05:47 PM
Ok. Sounds good. And what exactly is it that you do in New York?

Mr. Tanner
12-29-2005, 06:00 PM
Me? Well let me see. I always get off the train at Grand Central first. Then on 42nd street I get lunch, usually Wendy's. Then I get a cab for a ride. Last time I went to NYC (in August) I took a cab from 42nd street to the U.S.S. Intrepid Aircraft Carrrier. 2 years ago I went to the NBC studio at Rockerfeller Center and got a tour of the studio. I saw Dan Akroyd and John Goodman rehearsing for Saturday Night Live! Also, in late 2003 when I went to New York again I was in the audience of Wheel of Fortune. You couldn't see me, I was in the last row on the first floor. This time I'm planning on going back to Rockerfeller Center. There's SO MUCH to do in NYC! Tomorrow I'll tell you all about it when I get back!

Wow! That's quite some history that you've got there when being at New York. I wish that I would go to New York again for I have been there, but only in the Niagara Falls area as well as Buffalo when I was driving back home on the highway, but other than that I've never been to New York City.

pirjay
12-29-2005, 06:22 PM
Are you sure Niagara Falls aren't in Ontario?!

john cena
12-29-2005, 06:26 PM
Yes, but on the other side of Niagara Falls is New York. And I drove to Ontario, Canada then crossed the bridge to New York and my uncle drove to take a look at Niagara Falls on the side of New York.

pirjay
12-29-2005, 06:27 PM

matt__jon
12-29-2005, 06:35 PM
Yes, theres the American side to the Niagara falls, less pretty, the falls are all broken up by rocks, and then theres the Canadian side, the side you always see in pictures where the water never touches the wall behind the falls, it goes all the way to the botton. Plus the NY side is kinda of a ghetto, at least the parts I went through a few years ago were pretty run down.

Never been to NYC unfortunately

Mr. Tanner

I've been across the New York license plate! New York City-Niagara Falls! It's the best state in the US of A!

john cena

So does that mean that you went to Canada too?

Mr. Tanner
12-30-2005, 11:08 PM
Well, I'm home in Connecticut from New York! Here's how my day went:
1. Got on the train at my local train station. Luckily it was an express, so we had very little stops. The train was FILLED, so I had to stand for most of the trip. It was about 70 miles.
2. I got off at Grand Central and took a break at the Hyatt Hotel to wash up.
3. My family and I met up with my aunt and we went to the lobby of the Chrysler Building.
4. We went to Wendy's for lunch. That Wendy's outside of Grand Central is so nice. I got an extra 5 piece chicken nugget!
5. After that I walked to Rockerfeller Center where they have a huge christmas tree.
6. I got a cab to the natural history museum. Since it's across the street from Central Park, I took a short walk down it.
7. Went to the natural history museum. It's a cool place to learn about nature and the earth.
8. I got a cab to a subway sandwich resturant outside of Grand Central.
9. Went back to the Hyatt to wash up again before going home.
10. Got back on the train bound east for CT.
11. I'm home! So in summary, I've done a lot in NYC that I haven't done before.
Yes John Cena, I have been to the Canadian side of Niagara Falls (not today). Have you been to the Skylon Tower? I have, it's the best fine dinning resturant I've been to.

matt__jon
12-31-2005, 12:38 PM
You sure like your hygiene. I would've showered in the morning and that would be it.

I also was on the Canadian side of the falls, I didn't get to go to the tower, but I did see it. I think we didn't go because we were trying to go back home (which was about a 4 hour drive to Erie Pennsylvania, I was visiting relatives). Well, I think it was 4 hours, but I don't really remember. But I did eat at a Wendy's while in Niagara Falls, my hamburger kind of tasted like the smell of the oil creasote they put on train tracks, but I was hungry so I ate it anyway. We went to the Ripleys Believe it or Not museum while we were there.

Mr. Tanner
12-31-2005, 07:11 PM
Well, New York like with all other major cities is filthy, germy and sometimes after a meal or long day you've got to use the restroom.
