Couldn't even begin to guess for individual coasters. Total, however, I've been on 189 different coasters this year, although I'm not yet convinced that that's the "final" coaster count. I'm hoping for a Florida trip in December after I finish with this term's MBA classes, with the intent of getting to Busch, and perhaps a couple of other parks.

(While the count is 189 different coasters, I also rode many of those multiple times, so it wouldn't surprise me if the actual count was somewhere around 500 coaster rides this year, but that's just a guess -- I don't keep track of those numbers.)

Millennium Force 50
Magnum 42
Top Thrill Dragster 3

Those are the only coasters I keep a tally on. Other than that, this year I've ridden every coaster at CP(sans Jr. Gemini), Geauga Lake, and Michigan's Adventure.

So I believe my coaster count for the year is:

31 different coasters

I didn't count how many times I rode each coaster either, but my final count for the year is 43 if I counted right. SnooSnoo, do you like SOB? I don't hate it myself, but it seems that more than 75% of enthusiasts do so I wondered what your take on it was.

Well, since I'm a billionaire, I think my total ride count is somewhere up in the eight hundred thousands... and of course I'm a little dissapointed, as that is about one hundred and fifty thousand less than my yearly average.

Hopefully I'll get another fifty thousand roller coasters in by the end of the year, but perhaps I'll have to wait until next year to break my all time record of one million six hundred and eighty thousand. But, only time will tell.

MrPKI: Well, it was a bit rough on my knees. Other then that, great ride. My GF lives in Cincinnatti, so I got to visit PKI a few times this year. Next year I should again.

lol:haha::haha::haha: My mom is always saying "How do these enthusiasts have the money to go all these places." It isn't as easy when your trying to take everyone to all these parks. By the way according to rcdb.com there are only 1,883 coasters in the world right now.;)

It is much easier to afford when you're single, drive between the parks, stay at fairly inexpensive hotels, and purchase a strategic collection of season passes that work at multiple parks! It also helps to have invested years ago, when there wasn't enough time to take coaster vacations due to insufficient time off from work, in Cedar Fair stock, which pays enough of a dividend to cover the cost of visiting the parks, hotels, gas, food, and souvenirs. And to think, my stock broker thought it'd be a bad investment -- without that investment, I wouldn't have had the cash available for these coaster trips. I'm glad I didn't listen to him!

Your_Name_Here, I've got a guess as to the coasters that you forgot their names... the wild mouse would be Ricochet, the bobsled would be Avalanche, and the woodie was either Hurler or Grizzly.

As to my final count; well, I've got two more trips planned this year. I'm going to Orlando for over a week, and I'm hitting Dollywood for a day sometime in December, for nighttime riding on Thunderhead.

I don't really keep track of the number of times I've ridden a coaster, (I just found out about Coaster Counter recently,) but my individual coaster count will be over thirty this year.

^ I've only been keeping track of which coasters I've been on since 2004. I've been to Dorney, Hershey, and Disney to name a few before 2004, but won't count their coasters till I go again. Thankfully, I'm heading to Hershey and Dorney next spring.

The only coasters I count before 2004 are Lightning Loops, Hercules, Viper(SFGr.Adv.), Shockwave(SFGr.Adv.), and the Bobsled at SFGr.Adv. The only reason is because they have been moved or demolished.

^What he said.

The woodie was Hurler, I think... It was the one with all of those plastic baby parts in the buckets in the station building....

Good heavens! This thread wasn't just dead... it died so long ago, its estate was settled, and its tombstone has eroded into pebbles! (Or Bam-Bam, take your pick.)

coasterdude, if you're interested in the topic, perhaps you'd like to consider starting a 2006 version, rather than raiding the pyramids for a moldy old topic! :D

Not as many as I wanted.

11 I work too much. The rumor is that things will not be as hectic next year as they were this year if so perhaps I can hit more of the parks.

ValleyFair! mostly of course then there was a trip to Worlds of Fun for the opening of Patriot.

The 11th coaster was The Legend at Arnold's Park on West Lake Okoboji Iowa. Classic John Miller Coaster so we road tripped it over there to take a ride. Not a big coaster, not a tall coaster but a fun one.

My favorite coaster of the year was Steel Venom at VF.
