Well after two+ years, I have picked up I-War II EOC and an wondering why I ever put it down. I'm impressed at how well this game holds up and is far superior to much of what is new today...


Anywho, I have a couple of questions and yes, I did check the FAQ first :D


I'm in Act 1 and have stolen 106 pods. I'm a member of the Stepsons and seem to be stuck here. I have two side missions going now. "Run Of The Mill" (It's to steal some fuel pellets from a transport near Cleitus Metalworks, The reward is Seeker missles which I have traded for so I really don't need the mission)

The second is "Marauder's Cache" in which one follows a beacon planted by some miner. I'm wondering if I must complete these two mission before I recieve the "Joint Forces" mission?

Marauder cache is one of the story missions (The first one I wrote for the game), so you need to complete this to progress through the game.

The other I believe is a side mission and it's not necessary to play it.

Wow! Nice to "meet" you Stephen. You guys did a damn nice job on the I-War series. I'm not sure exactly when EOC came out but I know that two years is a lifetime in the computer world. For a product to hold up like that it pretty amazing.

It's a shame the public doesn't always appreciate quality when it sees it. Are you still writing code for PC games? I imagine so since you probably work for Atari. What are you working on now?

btw, I'm working on "Joint Forces" I put the game down a couple of years ago prior to this point so I'm in new territory here. Enjoying it though.
