"According to Gamers.fr, it would seem that the scenario of Driver: Parallel Lines is a significant change in the series!
It would seem that at the beginning of the play we incarnions young The Kid , which will be seen locked up during thirty years in prison after malencontreux different with justice.
We thus go incarner Kid child , but also adult Kid !
With all the changes inherent in time, there is what to expect two completely different towns of New York, of what to make us lose all your reference marks quickly...
Moreover if The Kid is done locked up in 1978, it arises from it only in 2008! And the EC is all the gameplay and envirronnement play which should change!
Wait and see! (Still not of confirmation for the change of developer below)
Driver: Parallel Lines is always scheduled for Mars 2006."
i don't get it either:confused:

I think it could be saying that in the game tou get locked up in jail then break out 30 years laters.

That would be a pretty big 'secret'. Maybe the French just don't know what they're talking about. :weird:

yeah, that could be a twist that changes the gameplay somewhat. I wonder if after beating it you could play in 70's NY and 2008 NY? But it says at the end Atari has not confirmed this.

Hey I'm new here.
Anyways, I'm french, and after stuggling for 2 hours to activate everything, I can finally post.
They say that you start out as The 18 year old kid. But then you get caught up and thrown into jail, and you come out of jail 30 years later.
They also say that there will be 2 New Yorks. One during the 70s, the other today, or 2008 like they say.
I guess that's the big twist, everything's gonna change, the buildings, the cars, the peds. If this is true, I'm satisfied.

Maybe that big surprise is: Q: "All Aspects of Gameplay are Changed!" A: Maybe the twist is you play as the kid in modern day time, that WOULD change all aspects of Gameplay!!!;)

I think that you may be right about that pirjay. It seems so obvious and I really like the idea. It will be alot of fun seeing the changes made of the 70s and i hope that they make the borderlines look different too once it is 2008.

I wonder if modified cars will carry over that are stored in your garage. They better, cause it'll probably be hard to find older cars, if they do do this, Reflections definately needs to have cars from 1978 NY rare in 2008 NY, that way they can have even more vehicles, instead of not having any cars from that time. They took the time to work on them, might as well have them in the latter half of the game?
I wonder if you'll have to work your way back up the crime pyramid after jail?

Yeah you're absolutely right about that Matt_Jon. If they made cars for the 70s and it's 2008 then there should be some 70s cars still driving around as well as cars from the 80s and 90s. That would be cool. Also about the year 2008 I hope that the same characters, weapons, and perhaps a few places return in 2008 as well as new characters, weapons, and buildings. I think that the old bad guys from the 70s will make a much bigger impact on the story in the game and that they'll probably be involved mostly throughout the game. And something seems familiar about the black guy. He looks just like Tobias Jones, except younger. Or perhaps the big secret is that Jones is in the game or some other character(s) returns in the game that was in the past driver games.

Yeah, maybe Jones is an undercover cop that TK mistakenly trusts, and Jones is the one that puts TK away for 30 years.

I don't know, they did say there were no connections to previous games, but then again they could be trying to throw us off. Personally I would like the Jones theory to be true, its better because you know who he is.
