I have a question that no one's asked yet, and it's been so long that I can't find my guide, and can't remember

How do you get ground forces? I've tried everything I can think to , but nothing has worked. Please help

Is your question, "How do you build ground forces," or is it more along the lines of, "How do I use ground forces?"

To build a ground unit, simply go into your Planet screen (as opposed to your Planets screen) and open your Military Build Queue. You should see the options for troop types such as 'Infantry," "Marines," "Psy-Ops," etc. Just select and build the same way you would build a ship design.

To create a ground force (such as a Division, Corps, or Army) from the units you built, you'll need to do either one of two things depending on the role you want. If you're trying to build an invasion force, click on a star the same way you would as if you were going to be placing a starship TF and select "Create Ground Transport." Then make sure you have enough troops for the formation you want and that it's satisfactory, then click "OK." Then you'll be taken to the screen where you can design a Transport TF (the game'll automatically design one for you if you have enough Transports, but it'll always select the ones w/ the slowest warps speeds, IIRC). Each Troop Pod can hold four units; four one-pod Transports is usually enough to carry an average-size Corps.

If, on the other hand, you're just trying to create a garrison for a planet you already own, go into the Planet screen, click on the Military Info tab, and select "Create Ground Force." You'll go through the same process as above, except you won't need to deploy any transports to carry the troops.

Hope this helps, and I also hope I didn't leave anything out :)
