If they're really doing that think where TK gets put in jail for 30 years, then there should be music for the 70s and music for modern time. But there should also be a radio station that plays some of the 70's music when you're in modern times.
But I like those suggestions.

P.S.: Isn't it "You Shook Me All Night Long" - by AC/DC, not Shock Me All Night Long?

ACDC sucks! every song sounds the same i can take the lyrics from TNT and the music from dirt Deads or vica versa and have the same song the lyrics are just changed the beat is the same.
Mr. Tanner
12-17-2005, 11:26 AM
Beavis and Butthead's the best show on TV! But I think we should have for both the 70s and 2000s is Paint it Black by Rolling Stones.

Dude, isn't that also the song Bob Seger sings?
Matallica only sound track
METALLICA, METALLICA! GOD! It's not hard to spell, spell metallic, then add a
freakin' A!
ACDC sucks! every song sounds the same i can take the lyrics from TNT and the music from dirt Deads or vica versa and have the same song the lyrics are just changed the beat is the same.
Man, you suck! AC/DC kicks ass, come on! You like rock right? Listen to Ride the Lightning or Master of Puppets by Metallica, then tell me AC/DC sucks. Those two songs by Metallica are old but some of the best and sound a bit like AC/DC singing style.

You and my brother are the only people I know who listen to Underoath.

UnderOATH = Amazing. I'm not too fond of their old music though. I got into them when i went to warped tour, and I saw them perform. Their lyrics are just incredible.

Oh my gosh, you're also a Homestar Runner fan? High five. You should listen to Dream Theater. Wait, are you a progressive rock fan? Probably not lol. I'm a prog rock freak, I just love the 40 minutes long songs, the arse kicking solos, and the odd time signatures.
Anyways, I'd like Hendrix music in the game.

Dream Theater is pretty cool. My friend Rob loves them. I'm into a whole bunch of stuff though - classic rock (Zeppelin and all that), metal, death metal, hard punk, alternative, screamo, even techno. I'm a big fan of most Christian bands though, like UnderOATH (my favorite), Mae, Copeland, Anberlin, Me Without You, As I Lay Dying, and Norma Jean (most of these guys are signed under Tooth & Nail Records). I'm into so many bands I can hardly keep up with them all. Thats why I need to Invest in and Ipod.

I like some AILD tunes. Then, you should check out Extol, they're good too. Do you play any instrument? Dream Theater inspired me to play keyboards, and now I need a better Keyboard :|
We might want to discuss this on MSN messenger, instead, if you have it.

I play guitar. I'm not to skilled. I've been playing for about 3 years but I usually never have time to play. I really wanna start keyboard though. Maybe bass in the future.
no MSN. Sorry about that.

Only good band I can think of (well, good at playing guitar) would be Avenged Sevenfold, they're new cd City of Evil kicks ass, plus it doesn't have all that screaming bull**** that all these freak show bands that think they rock have. They are seriously, the only modern rock band I have heard that play guitar. Well, I guess there is The Darkness and Velvet Revolver, but thats about it.
But anyway, I'm not saying I don't listen to new music. Its just ashame no one will play solos anymore, I guess cause they all suck.
I've been playing guitar since last Spring, and I don't know how good an average player of that long would be, but I think I'm pretty good for playing that long. I need some tabs though, I get bored of playing the same old thing, not knowing how the rest goes, even though I can sing it.
pirjay
12-19-2005, 09:39 AM
No more solos? YOU need prog rock! :D
I've been playing keyboards for a year and I'm, like, three times better than my friend who started taking piano lessons BEFORE me. I don't take lessons.
Some people learn faster than others
Wow I'm an a$$ lol

Avenged Sevenfold owns. The Darkness is pretty cool, they are my friend Kyle's favorite band. As for the screaming bull****, I never really liked it either, until I heard UnderOATH. The lead singer, Spencer does the screaming part, but he you can actually hear what he is saying --- which is new. The other singer, Aaron, sings all the chorus parts and he doesn't scream. He actually has real singing voice talent. Point is, UnderOATH would be nothing without the screaming part, since their lyrics are so powerful. It's almost a new form of praise, since they are a Christian band.

Well, if it's progressive rock that you want, try "The Dance of Eternity" and "Finally Free" by Dream Theater. Also, "Unleash the Fire" and "Lacrymosa" are good Symphony X songs. By the way, some progressive rock songs are instrumental only, but there is lots of singing that you might not like, because they usually reach very high notes. That's the case for DT and Symphony X, anyways.
Indeed, MSN is my primary browser. I'll PM you my address.

I think that the modern era music should be all the music since 1978. That way you can include more songs like crazy train . or thay could put one radiostation were it only plays the older music.
pirjay
12-20-2005, 11:12 PM
I don't think there will be radio stations like in GTA. I think there will only be automatic songs playing, depending on what's happening around.
matt__jon
12-20-2005, 11:15 PM
You should be able to push a button to skip a song, and also be able to pause and turn songs off you don't want to hear. And of course, custom soundtracks
Kulu911

wait a minute, are the soundracks going to be for the cutscenes only or ingame? Pleaase say ingame...I hate the ingame music for driver 3.

They'll be in game this time, Reflections is getting smarter.

Here's what I want for modern day D:PL music:
Holiday-Green Day
Meltdown-Ash
Pain-Jimmy Eat World
Speed Rush-APM (was in Stuntman in Toothless in Wapping and in L.A. Rush)
F.I.G.H.T-Unwritten Law
Back in Black-AC/DC
I fought the law-Does anybody know who sings this? "I fought the law and the law won"
Songs from Driv3r soundtrack too!
Kulu911

no radio stations, so that means True Crime style
carlover325
01-07-2006, 07:06 AM
True Crime style radio would be great. You can customize the preset songs by choosing how much you like a song, 0-5 stars with 5 stars being a favorite and being played most often and 0 stars never being played.
I don't really care what kind of music there is in the game as long as you can make the chase seem more exciting with more upbeat music. Driv3r music wasn't at all exciting when you got into a chase.
Mr. Tanner
01-07-2006, 07:32 PM
Jailhouse Rock would be cool in D:PL by The Blues Brother's Band from The Blues Brothers movie. You know how TK goes to jail. This song came out in the '80s. Elvis sang the original one in the 50s.
matt__jon
01-07-2006, 08:20 PM
The song goes "I fight authority, authority always wins" and I still don't know who sings it. I don't like it that much anyway.
Mr. Tanner
01-07-2006, 10:56 PM
In Midnight Club 3 you could select any song in the game and you could narrow it down to any genre you want (if you want to listen to a certain genre of music). That would be cool for D:PL!

I checked the picture in you Signature, is that you in that newspaper, if so, you looked evil in that pic.

We need "Drive it like I stole it" like in Midnight Club 3! We also need "Welcome to the Jungle" by Guns and Roses!
