Use your own coaster cars/the games

i just found out (after abit of messing around with the game files, you can switch coaster car types. like, i put B&M trains on an extended coaster. I also tried putting a floorless car on it. need some proof? click the links

Mabe somebody will mod their own cars after this.

how to change the cars: go to my computer, then go to your hard drive, then go to the program files. then go to atari, then rct3, then cars.

Next: pick out the coaster you want to change the cars for. enter that folder. then coppy the contents of the folder. paste somewhere you will not lose them, then go to the cars you would like to use on that coaster. then coppy the contents of that folder, paste in the other one. you should get some cars compattable with that track type.

So your saying you can move a vertical drop car on to a extened track? Also cant you have floorles cars already on a extened along with a lot of other type of trains.

Hmm, well your first statement on figuring out how to change cars, everbody knows that. just click the car button.

As for moving around files, Neverthought of that. doubt it will work, if it does. tou have brought a whole new level to the game!

oh, i just tried some stuff out, it closed the game right when the coaster was placed. i will not forget this idea. mabe work with some other files

The Extended coaster already has Floorless and twister cars.....

I dont think moving files would do anything to it atall.

I think that he did try it, with the extended coaster, it is just that he did it with out knowing that the cars were there by default. I think that if it did work though, it would have been awesome.

Finally, shoulder harnesses on a looping coaster :)

can anyone find the name of the vertical drop coaster in the cars files?
i think it is oblivion, but not sure
i was going to try it on a different computer that i loaded RCT3 onto, so i did not do anything irreparable to my comp
if anyone can figure out the name, i will give it a shot and let everyone know if it works
