Custom Scenery

A lot of the custom scenery doesn't work, the game freezes when i click a custom scenery in the items list, i have soaked, can anyone help me?

Which sets are giving you problems? Do you get any error messages or does the game just freeze? All of the custom scenery, as far as I know should work with RCT3/Soaked even if it was the sets that hadn't been updated for use with Wild.

all the custom scenery from http://www.ataricommunity.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=472214, i haven't tried all of them but i tried 2 or 3, the alton towers scenery had an error, everything else made the game freeze

You might try redownloading the updated sets from the list in this thread.

i didn't download all of them, out of the ones i downloaded, i got steelworx, timber frame stes, hollywood signs and electroshock to work, here are the errors i got
for Slide Supports and Pumper Darkride, i got:Vtunnel:sid
No :svd for sid


for BLOX and MNM Dark Ride, i got: Application
No handler for type’scenery item’(version1) in overlay ‘style\themed\pumper_BLOX\BlockArch
This error has also been sent to Debug.log

and

No handler for type’scenery item’(version1) in overlay ‘style\themed\MNM_DarkRide\mnmdarktunnel
This error has also been sent to Debug.log

and another question, how do you create custom scenery

Ok, Well the snd error means your probaly installed/downloaded it wrong. try re-downloading it then reinstalling the scenery, or replacing it. Createing custom scenery is a complicated/gifted Skill, in my eyes. Ive tried and fail many times so i gave up. If you really want to talk to martemer about milkshape. Hes a Custom scenery master

Did you make sure to delete the old themes before installing the updated ones? If not, just delete them & install the updated ones & see if that fixes it.

how do i import objects into rct3, i heard there's someting to do with the jon will editor. and if you can import objects, will auto cad work?

I cant either. Im extremely confused with it. If your new to Rct3 i suggest not trying custom scenery first. Its confusing if you cant use it right.

You need to make something in milkshape first. Have u had much experiance using milkshape or RCT3?

For those that need some help with Milkshape, here's an excellent tutorial made by Whiteflash for making a coaster car with MS.
It was made for making a coaster car for the Ultimate Ride game, but it covers virtually everything you need to know to use MS, from modeling tips to making the texture maps. It's an 8 parter, but well worth the reading.
