Please someone help me. I've searched through this whole site and downloaded and installed alot of the updated scenery for wild. Every time I try to use them I get the error message: no svd for sid, than the game crashes. Some of the sceneries are working but most aren't. right now I am experiencing this problem with the following custom sceneries:

Comic Book Heros
Caffinated Letters
Pumper Blox
Top Gun
Expo 3000
PNP Wall set
Plokoon Horror set
Superman Wall Set
Tidus Wall Set

If anyone has some insight as to why I'm experiencing this problem please reply to this post

Look, have you checked the number of folders you have???????

C:\Program Files\Atari\RollerCoaster TycoonŽ 3\Style\Themed

Are you sure your putting them in this folder?

Yes I'm sure, I have tried extracting them into their own seperate folders within ...style\themed. for example the scenery ovl files for top gun are saved in <Root Directory>:\program files\atari\RollerCoaster TycoonŽ 3\style\themed\top gun. I've also tried extracting them like an executable file would for example the: style.unique.ovl and style.common.ovl are extracted to <Root Directory>:\program files\atari\RollerCoaster TycoonŽ 3\style\themed\top gun, while the rest of the ovl files are extracted to <Root Directory>:\program files\atari\RollerCoaster TycoonŽ 3\style\themed\top gun\top gun scenery.

Ugh, you don't know how many times I've needed to say this. Do you know what 'Search' means?

Anyhow, your folders look like this, and there is an extra folder, highlighted in bold:

Roller Coaster Tycoon3 > Style > Themed > (Custom Folder) > (Custom Folder) > 2 ovls and another folder > ovls

Get rid of that extra folder and it should look like this:

Roller Coaster Tycoon3 > Style > Themed > (Custom Folder) > 2 ovls and another folder > ovls

First off You try finding an answer to my problem in the search section cause I can't, Second that's exactly what I explained in my last post I've tried both ways and it still won't work I guess I just have to try reinstalling rct3 from scratch

I too am having difficulty adding some of the scenery. I've used the address you have typed here, and when I go into the game itself, it just isn't there; and I am not new to computers so that isn't the issue.

Maybe you guys know something I don't. :mdr2: :eek2:

Let me explain something. I didn't have any problem downloading your items which I really think are cool looking. But with some of the wall sets, such as ShyGuy's wall sets. I am unable to get them to go into the game itself, even after typing the address in the wizard brouser. So I am unable to use them.

Apparently when you open the zip file in WINZIP classic it shows all files including files located within subfolders, when you extract these files it does not extract subfolders. In order to accomplish this you need to open the zip file in either Windows explorer or WINZIP Wizard, these will extract everything into the proper folder and subfolder

I was going to download Winzip and WinRar last night but got into something else and forgot. Oh well, I'll do it tonight!:bulb:

I have the same problem Eagle001,I used winzip to extract the files for the mainstreet pack one & two as well as the expo3000 set & it still doesn't appear in the game....now I've gotta download the files all over again as I accidently deleted them from the desktop.

I didn't have that problem with steelworx as the download for that contains an auto extractor to copy the files exactly where they need to go,but from what I remember reading here on the boards in order to get the auto extractor version of these scenery sets from Shyguy you've gotta pay a small fee on the site he's got the sets hosted on(rapidshare) while Sebar's mirror site hosts the manual extract version of the sets which is where I downloaded it from.

You are still need to check inside the folder after you unzip it.

Go there and read careful - Click here for How to install the custom scenery and get rid the SID error. (http://www.ataricommunity.com/forums/showthread.php?t=509122)

Make sure that Pieces are within 1 file, not 2. Not sure if that makes sense.
