Which programmes do I need to make textures recolourable, and where can I get them (if they are freeware)?
EDIT: I found that I need Adobe Photoshop or Corel Photo Paint. I don't have them :(

without photoshop or photo paint.
ohh it is gotta be hard one, i have no idea where you can able to use the Klinn's colors table without those programs.
But Paint can do if you are only just plain simple texture.
Photoshop has a 30 day trial. www.adobe.com
You could also ask me or any other scenery maker with photoshop to do it.

Der Freak,
Gimp (http://www.gimp.org/) is a free opensource photo manipulation tool whose features equals many professional tools like photoshop. Though you need sometime to get the hang of how it works, but it is real powerful :)
It has the capability to make Indexed bitmaps ( which is required for recolorable textures ).
