Are you sure its playable? Sounds good if it is. If they're giving people the chance to play it before they buy it this time, then maybe the games good and they know people will buy it after playing the demo

The second link says: Driver Parallel Lines - 1 borough/quarter (is this the right word ?^^). So you can cruise around without a time limit.
But as said I've to test it by myself. ;)
No'one's forcing you to get the magazine, buddy. lighten up.

Yes, it's strange. Normally the States are a little bit faster than Europe in most cases. :D
I coldn't find the mag in the shop. I hope I can get one tomorrow.

Wow. lol, we'd build a crappy boat, and by the time we are about a week out to sea and starving for food (I assume it would take a long time to get across the ocean on a home made wooden peice of junk), the demo would have already released in america.

I think we'd be swimming with the fish, after a week.
Well, with a wooden table, maybe- but what about an air-hockey table? strap a doona cover on and you've got your own hovercraft!

Well, since there will be no PC version, I don't think there will be a PC demo.

Well it's true. The Germans were "The Meanies" throughout history. Think about it. The Revolutionary war, WWI, WWII and other wars and conflicts. Yes I was joking. I want to play D:PL SO BADLY!
JAY83

Well it's true. The Germans were "The Meanies" throughout history. Think about it. The Revolutionary war, WWI, WWII and other wars and conflicts.
But what have I to do with that ? Just because I'm German ? Today's generations didn't experience these conflicts, but are still made responsible for them. Do I hate Americans just because of Mr. Bush having started his "war against terrorism" ? No, I don't......sry, my English is getting worse....I must stop here.....
What I wanted to say: Don't use those comparisons any more, please!;)

Good point.
Mr. Tanner
01-16-2006, 01:38 PM
Sorry, I didn't know you were german. I was just joking. If England got to play it first I'd say England would be starting a new Revolutionary War. I just want to make sense. I'm sorry Jay83, I'm not trying to hurt your feelings, germans are good people today.

PS: Not all Germans look like Angela Merkel (for those who don't know her: she's the new German chancellor).:D

Don't piss us Germans off, you've seen what we can do.
Mr. Tanner
01-16-2006, 08:38 PM
Let's not start a war. Germany is on the american, french and english side today. It says so in the Treaty of Versailles at the end of WWI. Besides, if Germany was to fight the US again. Chances are the US would win. Hey, the US won WWI and WWII. But you Germans are so lucky to play D:PL first! I'm not trying to piss you off in anyway.

Unlikely to start a war on the Driver Forums!!! lol

In most cases it's the other way around. So this time let us have fun with our demo. :)

Yes, you're right. ATARI/Reflections also didn't say anything about it. So we can hope. :)
From a German mag (I posted it some time ago):
"all on-line editors go now please times raus", were called it with Atari in Lyon after the presentation of the act ion running play Driver: Parallel LINES. The InterNet journalists had been allowed to see, how the young hero TK in the New York of the 70's in best series manners races by city traffic. Everything as had? The clevere trick came only to the bizarren Onliner removal: TK moves to the play center for 28 years into the Knast and becomes released 2006 again. The second half of parallel LINES plays in the modern New York: changed townscape, new cars, new weapons, the young gangsters from at that time are now full mafia bosses. Atari did not want to call a date for the PC conversion confirmed meanwhile yet, we taps on the summer 2006.

The interviews have not said anyting about the PC version, but there are still hope.

Yep... I'd have to hope with all my might...
Reasons why i would like a PC version is...
- Easier Multiplayer more PC users have an internet connection instead of PS2 users.
- Better Graphis can be generated by a PC over the years with PC upgrades.
-PC's are easier to make videos with FRAPS and talking SCREENSHOTS are 1000 time easier...
-On the PC version they could put a Film Direcor in it but they can have an option to turn it on or off and it should have an exporter mode so we don't have to use FRAPS....

I hope i can find a demo disk in australia... I'll put it on my site for download if it is... I'll just have to find a way to make it the PL demo only...
I'm sure if you put the whole disk on nobody would really be that upset

You could order the German mag: http://www.opm2.de/index.php (last Button "Nachbestellung"). But I think you've to pay a lot of money if you are in the US.
So wait until march. Just two months. ;)

I'm in AUS and if i put it in my PS2 or XBOX it won't work because i own the EUORPE version of the PS2 format using PAL and German version mostble uses NTSC which won't work and mostble won't work in my PS2 or XBOX
JAV_Swedish
01-24-2006, 02:29 PM
ehhhh?!
Europe, atleast western Europe use PAL. "PAL B for Sweden"
And the region is 2.
Australia, PAL and region 2 and 4 for DVD´s.
NTSC, used by USA & Canada mostly.
Region 1.
driv3r_madness
01-24-2006, 10:13 PM
I hate regions and all of that it was made to stop piracy and for overrated material to reach australia
JAV_Swedish
01-24-2006, 10:38 PM
You aussies have some great DVD´s there.
I am watching some of those with my PS2 and PC.
Region free programs on both PC and PS2. only for the DVD movies.

driv3r_madness
01-24-2006, 11:11 PM
Ohh.. Where can i get a mag with it on it... I wished there was a PS2 or XBOX demo site where we could download these and play them on emulators and you should be able to burn them to DVD for use in a PS2.
