Beta Testing REAL GAMES.

Ok i herd that TimeShift is a pretty big game but i'm wondering if there will be any other beta testing for other REAL games like DRIVER.

I'd love to beta test Driver: Parallel Lines on PS2 and PC is it is released on PC.

Driver isn't being released on PC and there is no beta testing option for consoles since approximately 100% of users do not have the required (and expensive) debug units ;) Sorry.

By now we here there is no PC version of Driver but there is a little something going around that there will be a pc version if Driver: Parellel Lines becomes a very popular game like San Andreas...

If you want to test games for systems (dont call timeshift and other new unknown game as "fake" but rather a new game) and bigger already known games first consider that it is very different then what atari does. I have been in two beta test Jak II and Wiplash and all you really do is either play freely for an hour or they telll you what to play then you go into a new room and then have a questionere you have to fill out about how hard, interesting, confusing, and other things then have a 1/2 hour to 1 hour disscussion with other people who where there about how it was and what they thought. At least this is what it was like when I did it. Also before you even can think of seeing the game you have to sign a confidentiality forum. I think you should just stay at ataribeta because it acctually is more simple than other beta tests IMO

That's not a beta test, hiimm, that's a focus test ;) We do those too from time to time.

P.S. Our beta testers sign an NDA agreement (confidentiality) before they play the game ;)

Yea I know I was in the Wild beta but still focus groups are kind of same but in a very different way beta is more focused on bugs rather than feedback while focus groups are more focused on feedback rather than bugs. Also you only play for a bit instead of keep the BETA for a long time and find bugs. Still that is probably the closest you can get to one withought working beta testing or at atari

PS just to the guy who started this BETA test are not for getting to play the new game before everyone it is acctually looking at every different part you can think of and try to find the bugs instead of them occuring on accident. If you dont think that way but instead just want to beta test the game because its a game you want to play and try to get through then you should not be a beta tester.

Yea I know what you mean too, but all those focuses really caught me off balance. I had to read read your post again and actually use some of that brain power I have up there in my brain.(and yes I do have a brain, atleast I think so anyways):)
