Hey PQlear, I think we found your anti-hacking features. (Btw, WCguy is not a hacker :P )
After a long FFA with me and WCguy left, he sent commanches at my base. The helibug is still in play, and I couldn't shoot them down. Then suddenly on my screen it popped up "System: Warcraftguy have been found cheating". Afterwards, none of his units could damage my units. I sent a spinner in AA mode against two turrets and no damage 5 minutes afterwards. Even his commanches couldn't damage me.
what's scary though is that WC wasn't cheating. Even though he was using the helibug (it is where your helicopters are invisible and invincible), the gameplay was normal.
I'm trying to figure out how this happened.

I have the replay if that'll help.
And just to make one thing clear, I was not cheating

Heh, I don't think WC guy is your typical hacker ;)

Speaking of replays - is something going to be done about replays of naval battles? It's somethin unwatchable right now.

DerPapierTiger,
Is it possible that your game with WarcraftGuy desync'd? There is an issue with the demo that causes their units and buildings become invincible when a client player surrenders and remains in observer mode. This may be a related issue caused by entering separate game sessions through desync. I'll look into this problem today. Also, would it be possible to get some more info on the helibug? This is the first I've heard of it, and we haven't seen any invincibility during proper gameplay.
If anyone can add more information regarding either of these issues, it will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

'Screetch', a Eugen Systems guy, said on Gr.org:
"we think the problem was that WCguy's opponent had the prisonner of war extension which removes $250 each time a peon is captured. at that time WCguy had -$100, and the game thought he cheated and spent more money than he had.
[Problem correction mode ON]"

Edit: And the heli bug happened mainly in beta, it is where the games were out of synch, and a heli would look like it would be somewhere els than it really is, and rockets would look like they are coming out of thin air, so the player defending himself, cannot fire at the choppers. (its hard to explain lol, someone probally will be able to explain it better than me)

Indeed, it would produce some sort of a delay. While one player may see the heli attacking, it won't be seen in that area untill later.
Example (examples work for explainations ;))
1. Player A is a good guy, he's playing against his friend player B.
2. Player A has just bought some cool commanches and sent them to attack his opponent.
3. Player A see's no problems, and see his helis attacking Player B's tanks, but player B isn't returning fire... humm. Player A assumes he is lucky and runs away with his helis, to the other side of the map.
3b.(from B's perspective.) Player B can see the rockets blowing up his stuff, but he can't see the helicopters? Player B is "teh liek WTF?!"
Later, he see's the helis flying in, but they are not fireing (note, the helis are really at the other side of the map, and they are not fireing because they have allready fired, remember what I said about delay?) Player B seizes this opportunity to waste his helis, so he sends some of his infantry to down player A's helis.
4. Player A's helis are way across the map, but are still taking fire from player B's infantry. This makes no sense to him, and he claims player B is a haxxor.
And so, everyone was very unhappy simply because the game had a bug in it. 'twas a very sad day.
TO BE CONTINUED!

Thank you for the reply jwoodward!
Warcraftguy never gave up, and we played untill his main was destroyed. Screetch said that since I had the prisoner of war extension (it allows me to draw $250 from the enemy's bank account per PoW), it made WCguy go into negative and then the game though he cheated by spending more than he had.
Hopefully you guys enjoyed the 10+ F-35 with merc airplanes attack. :)

Jesse Woodward, for the beta, i submitted a bug report about surrendering, but not getting destroyed. I dont remember the bug number, but it was confirmed and closed.
