I had no problem with Tenkaichi, I got it the day it came out and I still play it almost every day. Don't think its cause I haven't unlocked everything, I did that in 2 days of playing day and night in the hardest mode, its cause I find it to be the best and most entertaining DBZ game to date. I dont expect any of you to read this long a$$ post so I broke it down to specific sections, so try to give ideas on what intrests you. This Thread is meant to inform Spike (hopefully Spike is handling this game) what they could do to make alot of people happy with the next game, while staying true to Tenkaichi roots. I will update other peoples ideas as well. Tenkaichi 2 would still be an amazing game without these ideas, its just suggestions in case Spike is looking for them.
-In game transformations: I understand Spike wanted to accomplish specific battles with out Transformations but they should put them in. The way it would work is that you can pick for example Goku. Then they ask you what level you want to start with (SS,SS2,SS3,SS4). After that they ask you what costume you want (Costumes section is below). Then they will give you the option to either stay on the form you picked like in Tenkaichi, or free for all which allows you to go up forms or go down forms just like in Budokai 3. When it comes to transforming, it works like in Budokai 3. You'll need a specific amount of energy or KI to transform. Also transformations should include a short cutscene. If they do this they will satisfy everyone when it comes to Transformations.
Another Idea on Transformations, Dbzman saids, "I think they should put back in-game tranformation but when you tranform you use your favorite techqnuie and your ki would be draining Slowy!!! ex. Goku SS! one favorite techquine"
-Moves and Specials: Many felt that there was too little moves per character. To solve this, combine every form into one like I explained above. So if you look at Goku's complete Breakthrough move list it'll include Solar Flare, Explosive Wave, Instant Transmission, Kaio-Ken, Super Sayian, Super Sayian 2, Super Sayian 3, Super Sayain 4, Kamehameha, High Power rush, Kaio-Ken Attack (for Goku's Stage),Spirit Bomb make it bigger and faster (for Goku's Stage), Warp Kamehameha (SS) Super Kamehameha (SS2), Super Kamehameha 2 (A bigger and stronger version of Super Kamehameha for Super Sayian 3), Super Explosive Wave (SS4), And a RED! 10x Kamehameha(for SS4) and since this is Goku's ultimate special, the beam should almost be the same size as spirit bomb from Tenkaichi 1. Follow these steps for each character and there would be no issues with small move list.
-Capsules and Custom Characters: I once read that they removed skills customization because they had few moves to work with. Well with what I explained above they could bring it back. When you get a character, only his first form is available with all his first form moves. In the story mode you'll get to play as these stronger forms but to unlock the forms for other modes you must get to that level in Dragon Arena (Dragon Arena is below). This would add a deep replay value because you'll have to play Dragon Arena with many Characters just to unlock their forms. For skills and moves some will be bought at the store like in other Budokai games but others will be unlocked through Story mode and Dragon Arena. Only allow 9 slots for each character. Make better moves take up more slots like in other Budokai games. Thats not enough for most Characters but Breakthrough will be unlockable to solve this. Also when you pick a Custom character it gives you the option to use custom moves only, custom level only, or both, I ask for this because I would want to pick a custom character for its moves only but the match wont be exciting or fair because of how strong my character's level is. Also try to bring as much skills from Budokai 3 as possible. I wouldn't mind if there aren't any new ones but dont forget to add some for the characters that weren't in Budokai 3. Also make sure that Custom characters level up using the same system in Budokai 3. This will be perfect. Also have a code system.
Another Idea on Capsules, Dekuh saids, "The capsules hmm yes more slots more slots like that idea but there should be no need for break through. All characterss should have their full move sets like in tenkaichi. I really hated being limited to what skill i could use. Plus i hate the whole more than one slot usage that idea needs to burn in HFIL lol for all eternity. One capsule one space. Usind the capsule babadi mind control should straight off change him to that form at the beginning of the round. Why the wait, till its useless to have him change with one bar of hp left and fighting with a 3 space handicap cause you used it and you can't have a senzu bean. Plus all these different capsules that do the same thing shold be eliminated. There should be for expample str + 10% to 60%. This would be 6 seperate capsules and this would go on for def, ki, speed,supers,favorites and so on. Each having 6 levels of capsules for up grading. Special capsules like hp regeneration or android specific capsules could remain for them. Like regeneration that could be for piccolo, cell, buu, and cell jr."
-Options or Settings: Keep options found in Tenkaichi like Japanese voices, and camara angles but include a screenshot for each camara angle to avoid having to check which one you like and constantly come back. Give an option to make the area barrier invisible, some people want it others dont, so thats why we need the option so we could choose what we prefer. Also I would like the option to turn off cutscenes. I enjoy the short cutscenes alot but it would also be intresting and exciting to be fighting Goku and see a Spirit Bomb speeding your way without any warning at all. It'll also speed up the gameplay, just Imagine throwing Goku under water and then theres a huge explosion (Super explosive wave)and SS4 comes out like in the Super 17 saga. With cutscenes you will be aware that he's SS4. Same thing with Beam struggle cutscenes, give us the option of cutscene camara angle or the gameplay angle that is shown before the beams make contact. Im not saying no cutscenes because I do love them, Im just saying give us the option of both choices.
Another Idea on Options, Dekuh saids, "Agh cutting the cut scenes sounds good but picture this out of no where a spirit bomb lauches at you no warning no charge no nothing. That sounds quite gay to me. Thats taking away from the game. The cut scenes allow the moves to be chanted and time pasted to summon the techneque. In game time though its instant unless you have enough distance between you. A cut scene wont save you from a blasting if you are not in a position to do something about it. True the spirit bomb and other moves like it should be faster moving and yes powerstruggles should be allowed between strong beams and energy ball attacks. The way the struggles are done using the anolog joys is just fine and fair. If button mashing came down to it the faster person would win all the time and im very fast. With the fumbling anolg turning though i find my self losing ever now and again makes it all worth while to lose and not win all the time. Plus i like the charge up beam attack that allows you to throw more power into the blast great idea but it was off a bit in tenkaichi. Characters with lower energy cost on beams had a super advantage to high cost beam chars. That they had far more power to put into the attack over powering you easily this should be balanced out. I could see if you had a higher ki amount where that would be fare. The angle changes hmm how are you going to be worried about camera angles when your locked in a struggle where all your attention is focused on rotating the joy fast."
-Gameplay: I LOVE the gameplay found in Tenkaichi. Keep it the way it is. Some have said "fighting should take out more damage" but I like the way it is because the matches last longer. I also heard people say that Teleporting is better in Budokai 3 but I disagree. I find it to be perfect especially when a beam is about to hit you and you press circle at the right moment.Dont take that out but It'll be great if the character could do more then one thing for beams when circle is press at the right moment like deflect or push a kamehameha back at the person who threw it. Like when Gohan deflected the spirit bomb to vegeta. This will use up energy to perform, if you dont have the energy to do it then he'll just teleport as usual. Also someone mentioned to have a longer second to get ready for beam struggles or burst mode. I agree with this and hope that button mashing is included and as effective as rotating the stick. My friend broke his right analog stick during a beam struggle with me lol. As for burst mode it'll be exciting if they teleport all over the area while fighting like the show. Stronger forms should have bigger beams like I explained above for Goku (check in game transformation). Specials that are balls should be a little faster. Specials should create a huge explosion when it misses and hits the ground. Fighting is perfect once you mastered it so I hope it returns the same. Just remember to change the fighting combo after a character transforms. Also include Ball VS Beam struggles like a Big Bang Attack against a Kamehameha but make it realistic. For example make a Spirit Bomb cancel out weak beams like Dodopa. KI gauges should go up to 5 bars because now that there will be more moves, the stronger moves need more energy bars.
Another Idea on Gameplay, Dekuh saids, "The fight mechanics needs more of a melee combat boost, add some kicks with the punch so combos can be mixed like in B3. I mean its ok but its so easy and tiring to do the same punch punch combo a thousand times. A little variety wouldnt hurt. Yes I agree the melee damage in the game is great the way it is, but battles end a little to fast. 150 seconds or so is the longest they estimated a battle by time even though some times it can run longer with chasing. I propose there be more energy bars take the game to higher levels cause 7 energy bars just doesnt seem enough any more. Or you get so strong and the defence is so low that moves kill to quickly and robs you of a savored victory. Anyone knows dragonball battles are epic and long only the weak are weeded out so easly. And yes there should be more options when you are on the defense. The show has them deflecting waves, catching and tossing energy balls, catching and counter blasting back up the enemies attack, moving out the way fast, catching and having it explode or rip through, or ingulf you, able to counter a counter blast and canceling out the attack. This could be done with an addition of directional combo use with the circle. button. Like up + circle throws up a barrier that cancels low level attacks like finisher moves. Down + circle to try and catch the attack and send or throw it back. The success of this would work like teleporting perfect time just as yoiur about to get hit. This would work like the beam struggles with a little difference. the view will be on the character trying to hold onto the blast. This would work out like the say the father son kamehameha in B3. A bar flashes across the screen and you both try to get as much of the bar as you can three times. The one with the most wins. If the person who launched the attack wins then you see the attack increase in size and power and eather explodes if its a energy ball attack or engulfs them if its a beam. If the player who catches the beam wins then he lauches it right back at the other player. To make this fair the meters speed will increase (the bar flashing left to right) the more powerful the attack is and you can effect the speed of the player catching the blast. If player 1 puts more energy into the attack player 2's meter speeds up making it more difficult to counter. Player 2 whos holding the attack can do so as well powering up bring forth his/her aura and slow there bar down making it easer to counter. This will deplete ki the longer you hold it. This will also be the format for deflection as well. Oh and as you use more energy to strengthen the attack or repel it you will hear your character doing there famous screams HAAAAAAAAA! Energy attacks should (if missed) continue on till it strikes the enviroment or fades out. When the attack strikes the enviroment there should be a blast and a damage shockwave of energy that still can give damage but not the full amount if your caught in it. The more powerful the attack the greater the blast range. The blast will destroy the enviroment if strong enough for the range of the blast. There could also be a mushroom cloud that would acompany the blast. Similar to the nova like blinding light that happens in tenkaichi but this would be damaging with a force that would knock you back and at close range could even damage the player launging the move. So would have to make sure you have enough distances to launch super finishers. I like the blinding effect when super finishers hit that should not be touched just added to with this. Man just thinking of having to out run a blast like omega did against ssj4 goku or dodging the blast just to have to block the on coming blast wave sends chills through me. Agh the best way to say what im talking about blast wave remember the attack buu used on vegeat when he was mad. That huge expanding dome of energy well thats what i am suggesting. Well not as grand as that or heck when your god like maybe."
-Music: I am tired of that little kid music you hear while fighting. Try to you use some evil, phsycotic, sick in the head rock beats. Or official music straight from the show. And I mean music when they are fighting not happy songs lol. I always turn off the music in DBZ games after a while.
-Levels and Stages: I would like the current stages to return with a little bit differences. An addition to those I would like Janemba's Stage, An ice area, a destroyed namek, a city that looks like a mixture of where they fought Brolly and Bojack, The Dead Zone. Also an option to pick day, dusk or night will really mix things up and make levels feel different. Remember how red the sky looked when Goku Fought Super 17, or the night sky when piccolo tried to calm down gohan as a Ape. Another cool idea would be flying to other stages from one stage, like going to the mountains from the grass plains, or going inside the Hyperbolic Time Chamber from Kami's lookout!
Another Idea on Levels, Dekuh saids, "The multiple levels with dusk and all that solved with real time passing during your fight. The game clock would change the lighting and setting as the battle goes on. So suns would set and night would fall. Any ways to continue, I was thinking about what you said about the destroyed namek and how to do so and create destroyed enviroment like that into the game with out the blowing the whole stage up method like B3. Well I was thinking The enviroment should react to how you destroy it. Plus the more powerful power level wise you are the more violent the changes. Every thing in the enviroment should be destructable. Even if this means less levels, thats no loss. Its like this 9 different sandboxes are nice but 4 or so really good ones will keep you happy and content plus your attention far longer. This is how i see it working out. Say you start in the cell games stage. Well missed attacks that strike the ground will damage it. The ground I propose should be interactive too. Getting hit hard into it should rip the ground up shooting spirers upward serounding the crater you formed. Its kind of hard to explain going to try to work on some photoshop pics. So like the normal enviroment could be layered over the destroyed one and as you destroy more and more of the destructable normal enviroment the scorched planet will more and more be seen. The enviroment will react too. The sky will darken thunder will roar and lightning will flash twisters will swirl and whirl around and rain may even start to fall. This is not all at once but a sequence of progressive instibility in the enviroment. As staighted the more powerful you are the faster theses changes will happen. With more powerful attacks striking the enviroment more rapid destruction would happen. There could be extra little flare like say a really high level player starts to power up thunder will sound and lightning will flash until full power is reached. Then the sky returns back to the state it was before. I know this sounds ambitious but it can be done and would be the coolest levels ever. I was even thinking of being able to destroy the world too if the level gets to damaged. This would force more though out energy attacks plus another posable way to not lose. If the level starts to blowup a timer for destruction will start in red and if there isnt a winner before then both lose as you watch from space as the planet is destroyed SWEET."
Characters: All of the characters that are in Tenkaichi. But Make forms into one like I explained. The following forms should be their own seperate characters: Gogeta SS4 because thats not a Transformation of Gogeta, Majin Vegeta needs to be by himself, keep fighting trunks and trunks with sword 2 different charaters but allow them to use the same costumes, Metal freeza, add Cooler's 1st form, metal Cooler as a different character, add Broly's 1st form, keep Super buu absorbtions different characters, add Bojack's 1st form.
New Characters: Give suggestions and I'll add them, Coolers Armor Squad, Omega Shenron, All of the shadow dragons and General Rilldo (3 forms), Older Ubb from GT, Supreme kai, Original fat Janemba, Andriod 14 and 15, Andriod 13 with Super 13 as a transformation, Pan, Adult Goten, Kid Goku from GT with all transformations, Vegeta from GT with all transformations(base, ssj, ssj2, and ssj4) Pikkon, Garlic Junior with both forms, The spice boys and Ginger, Nicky, and Sansho from the Dead Zone, and I'll add more with time.
-Costumes: At least let us pick the alternative colors but please try to include more than one costume, try to capture every era the character went through. Please include GT attire and also People make suggestions and I'll add them. Also, I know it'll be difficult to put more than one costume because of damage and stuff, but maybe it'll be easier if there's a section of your team that only works on the costumes to save time.
I dont expect any of these to make the game but if your looking for ideas on costumes, Here are suggestions:

-Tournament Modes: Keep everything you already have but in addition, Maybe you could add a free for all Tournament kind of like the Cell Games except the matches take place in random locations, also it'll be nice to see the sky dusk in the final match. And make sure that simulated matches end up the way they should, I hate that a Saibaman has beaten a SS4 Gogeta lol. And allow different costumes to be selectable.
-Story Mode: Give it your best Imitation of Budokai 3's Dragon Universe mixed with all the fights found in Tenkaichi's Story mode. Players will switch between characters for each battle instead of picking one for the whole thing. You will have the freedom to explore the world, visit places and talk with people, find hidden skills, money, find dragon balls, practice with the current character in the Hyperbolic time chamber,trigger secret battles or just fly to the battlefeild to continue the story. It will Take beating the mode 3 times to experence every battle because not all are availble the first time through. The 3rd time through will be focused on the movies. In this mode for certain battles you get to play as characters that have moves and forms before you unlock them. There not unlockable here, only first forms. Bad guys are unlocked when you beat them. You dont use your custom character here, thats for Dragon Arena. I wish it was like this, but I dream too much.
Another Idea on Story modes, Dekuh saids, "How about a Sagas style adventure mode that would be the dragon universe. You would have the option of one or two player co op. So say you fly over a forest area in the dragon mode and you decide to enter the area when you do you will be in battle mode and have to battle your way to say a boss type character. Say its the saiyan saga and your playing with your friend and you enter this level. when close you both share a screen, when apart split screen. You battle through enemy minions, so this era would be saibmen. At the end of the stage you confront Nappa. Both of you then have the joy of a tenkaichi two on one woop fest on him. Dont get me wrong this wont be a walk in the park the level differences will be apparent. The AI will be smart and know not to take a double team attack for long. AI will try to keep it a one on one fight and attack to keep one down while fighting the other. In the adventure getting to the boss you will inconter minions that as good as fighters as a tenkaichi opponent just less energy skill and power. So each battle will be as enjoyable as the next. You will have to get acustumed to having to take on more than one minion at a time so quick thinking and strategy will be needed. Youll have to watch for sneak attackers and be ready to teleport from a puch to the back or away from your enemy. Of course levels are gain as you fight so you have to get stronger to take on the ever stronger bosses at the end of each area."
-Dragon Arena:The level system should be like Budokai 3. This mode is Unlocked when 50% of The Story is completed. Its the same as Dragon Arena in Budokai 3 except you cant fight who you want, you'll have to beat the set of 10 before you get to fight the next set of 10. You can be challenged by higher ranks like in Tenkaichi's Ultimate Battle Mode. You unlock stronger forms through this mode and unlock some skills. It can be played with any character. Lets say you start with Goku, when you reach a certain level you become a super sayain and unlock that skill. This also means skills for his super sayain form will now be found at the store. If this continues, eventually you will become super sayain 4. When this mode is completed you will be able to find Goku's Breakthrough skill at the store for an expensive price. Do this with every one to get all the forms and moves. This will also unlock a video highlight of your character's most exciting moments in the show or movie.
Another Idea on leveling up, Dekuh saids, "Yeah yeah no restirctions on leveling. IF you dont limit a players leveling ability this would give long jevity plus with online play powerlevels will sky rocket because there is always someone out there stronger and if you want to be the best its train trian train. This would kinda force online play too since the game offline the computer opponents would be weak compared to the people online. Taking on a level 400 character mmmmmm Im so excited im actually trembling typing this."
Another Idea on leveling up, GenkkiInshido saids, "There was one flaw from the first game that i didn't understand. no matter what z items you cutsomized your character with in ultimate battle, his/her stats remained at normal. i felt this to be a complete ripoff because there wasn't any point to customizing them in ultimate battle, the computer opponents always did progressively more damage while you did progressively less. i know it's supposed to be challenging, but i think they took it a little too far."
-Store: Exactly like the store found in Budokai 3, except forms can't be bought.
-Extra Unlockables: Character highlight videos of show and movies, biographies, and the gameplay videos shown in the credits of Budokai games except here thay can be seen FULL SCREEN with no credits sliding down (Include the video from Budokai 3, Tenkaichi and a new one for this game).
-Online: This will be fun, with regular fights, custom character fights, tounaments, mods, 2 on 2 fights and profile for users with stats on their history fighting.
-Features or Modes
Create a character by Adrok"This might be going a little too far, but how 'bout a create-a-character mode. You get to pick body, arms, legs, etc. You could choose race (namekian, saiyan, alien, etc.),voice, energy attacks(pick your own name of the technique), and overall movement (speed, power, average, etc.). They could also have their own story mode!"
Another Idea on Create a Character, Dekuh saids, "Adrok great idea i dont know how i didnt think of it since i posted that idea when they had a budokai4 wishlist way back. Yes yes thats a must, a create a character mode.
-Here is how i invision this. Ok not to add too much to the game, the body builds could be used. So you could choose your race gender and a body type from the game. The body type gives you your move set. SO if im a saiyan and I have like a tall bulky body type then they would have the slower and more powerful combo move set. After choosing a body type you will have a choice of 3 voices for male and 3 female voices if gender female."
-The build up mode could be a combination of Ultimate battle mode and Dragon arena. You would get Experence for every battle won and a random capsule from that characters capsule set. After defeating the 100th character you then get to fight super strong versions of all the fusion characters. After every fight you can go back to character selection and upgrade your character with the move the capsule gave you. Made characters will only have basic combos
favorites, death moves and super death moves can be added from capsules won from an enemy. Build up characters will be able to do any move from the game with certain conditions met. Like if I want to be able to use big bang attack then I would have to have say super saiyan equiped along with it. Hmm or instead of that you would just have to be at like a certain level to use some moves.
-You will start off with a 2 slots for capsules. You gain an extra capsule slot at level 5 and then at levels 15,35,75, and every 50 levels after."
Another Idea on Create a Character, GenkkiInshido saids, " i think female saiyans should be able to become super saiyans also. i thought it mean that pan was really strong but she never became a super saiyan. also, if you train enough, even as a human, you can become as strong as a super saiyan. you might have to use the time chamber for a few staright years (lol),. but you could pull it off. judging characters by power level rather than RPG levels. like in the show, a person's power level could be raised through training or recovery from near-death experiences. the higher your power level (as in going from a level of 1200 to 20000), the more damage you do, and that way friends could train against each other to become stronger. a VS. mode that allows you to gain levels and techniques, speed increases and defensive abilities. after getting hit with an attack so many times, you become familiar with the timing so next time it's a little easier to avoid."

i have an idea. i call it tenkaichi 2, the way it should be.
havent you ever played pokemon league before?you and your pponent select the plas at the same time. where you can select your attack, well it will be like that, you can choose one ability a turn. you can choose to be on offense, defense, or strategy. you can have a list of abilities to use(ex you can have a beam ability, a ki meele ability, or a physical ability) you can also be on defense and do things like block ki attacks, beam struggle (thats more of an offensive play) you can choose to dodge or teleport, and you can choose to fight hand to hand as a counter. you can also plan sneak attacks, where you can use the rocks and mountains as an advanage, the while the fight is still going on, you can choose to charge up your ki, or save/hold some energy for later, and you can find things to use as an advantage (ex, dive into water and the water goes into opponents face and they dont know wher you are, then you plan a sneak attack) it would be a great game. the battles would take long so youll always be playing, and there isnt no fast way to defeat an opponent, its all strategy!and inbetween turns the characters would talk or coplement one another while they elect a play to use.give me your opinions about my idea and if its better than NY_Realwheelman"s

Yes great ideas, except transformations should be exactly same as budokai 3, its much more fun that way than tenkaichi in my opinion. but I do like the free flight and such on tenkaichi. Aslo mabie somehow, in the stroy mode probably, there could be training as a mission, like Gokus training form king kai, u could have to simulate it and would get kaio ken and gain speed and such. Just an idea. I also think those different ostumes should be available in tournaments too.

Ok NY realwheelman i read your essay there. I must say 60% of it great stuff.
Here are a few things i would change or add though.
1: The multiple levels with dusk and all that solved with real time passing during your fight. The game clock would change the lighting and setting as the battle goes on. SO suns would set night would fall
2: The multiple costumes hmm its ok but that would more work for all the costumes as the characters take damage.
3: The fight mechanics needs more of a melee combat boost add some kicks with the punch so combos can be mixed like in B3. I mean its ok but its so easy and tirring to do the same punch punch combo a tousand times a little variety wouldnt hurt.
4 The capsules hmm yes more slots more slots like that idea but there should be no need for break through. All chars should have there full move sets like in tenkaichi. Really hated being limited to what skill i could use. Plus i hate the whole more than one slot usage that idea needs to burn in HFIL lol for all eternity. One capsule one space. Usind the capsule babadi mind control should straight off change him to that form at the beginning of the round. Why the wait till its useless to have him change with one bar of hp left and fighting with a 3 space handicap cause you used it and you can have a senzu bean. Plus all these different capsules that do the same thing shold be eliminated. There should be for expample str + 10% to 60%. This would be 6 speperate capsules and this would go on for def, ki, speed,supers,favorites and so on. Each having 6 levels of capsules for up grading. Special capsules like hp regeneration or android spisific capsules could remain for them. Like regeneration that could be for piccolo, cel,buu, and cell jr.
5: Yes I agree the melee damage in the game is great the way it is but battles end a little to fast. 150 seconds or so is the longest they estimated a battle by time even though some times it can run longer with chasing. I propose there be more energy bars take the game to higher levels cause 7 energy bars just doesnt seem enough any more. Or you get so strong and the defence is so low that moves kill to quickly and robs you of a savored victory.
Anyone knows dragonball battles are epic and long only the weak are weeded out so easly.
6: Leveling should be used in the story modes and built up chars shold be usable in all modes of play instead of confined to versus mode and build up.
7: Agh cutting the cut scenes sounds good but picture this out of no where a spirit bomb lauches at you no warning no charge no nothing. That sounds quite gay to me. Thats taking away from the game. The cut scenes allow the moves to be chanted and time pasted to summon the techneque. In game time though its instant unless you have enough distance between you. A cut scene wont save you from a blasting if you are not in a position to do something about it. True the spirit bomb and other moves like it should be faster moving and yes powerstruggles should be allowed between strong beams and energy ball attacks. The way the struggles are done using the anolog joys is just fine and fare. If button mashing came down to it the faster person would win all the time and im very fast. With the fumbling anolg turning though i find my self losing ever now and again makes it all worth while to lose and not win all the time. Plus i like the charge up beam attack that allows you to throw more power into the blast great idea but it was off a bit in tenkaichi. Characters with lower energy cost on beams had a super advantage to high cost beam chars. That they had far more power to put into the attack over powering you easily this should be ballanced out. I could see if you had a higher ki amount where that would be fare. The angle changes hmm how are you going to be worried about camera angles when your locked in a struggle where all your atention is focused on rotating the joy fast.
8: Yes yes there should be more options when you are on the defence. The show has them deflecting waves, catching and tossing energy balls, catching and counter blasting back up the enemies attack, moving out the way fast, catching and having it explode or rip through or ingulf you, able to counter a counter blast and canceling out the attack. This could be done with an addition of directional combo use with the circle. button. Like up + circle throws up a barrier that cancels low level attacks like finisher moves. Down + circle to try and catch the attack and send or throw it back. The success of this would work like teleporting perfect time just as yoiur about to get hit. This would work like the beam struggles with a little difference. the view will be on the char trying to hold onto the blast. Thsi would work out like the say the father son kamehame ha in B3. A bar flashes across the screen and you both try to get as much of the bar as you can three times. THe one with the most wins. If the person who launched the attack wins then you see the attack increase in size and power and eather explodes if its a energy ball attack or engulfs them if its a beam. If the player who catches the beam wins then he lauches it right back at the other player. To make this fare the meaters speed will increase(the bar flashing left to right) the more powerful the attack is and you can effect the speed of the player catching the blast. If player 1 puts more energy into the attack player 2s meater speeds up making it more difficult to counter. Player 2 whos holding the attack can do so as well powering up bring forth his/her aura and slow there bar down making it easer to counter. This will deplete ki the longer you hold it. This will also be the format for deflection as well. Oh and as you use more energy to strengthen the attack or repel it you will hear your character doing there famous screams HHAAAAAAAAA.
Couple of additonal ideas.
How about a saga style advanture mode that would be the dragon universe. You would have the option of one or two player co op. So say you fly over a forest area in the dragon mode and you deside to enter the area when you do you will be in battle mode and have to battle your way to say a boss type character. Say its the saiyan saga and your playing with your friend and you enter this level. when close you both share a screen when appart split screen. You battle through enemy minions so this era would be saibmen. At the end of the stage you confront Nappa. Both of you then have the joy of a tenkaichi two on one woop fest on him. Dont get me wrong this wont be a walk in the park the level differences will be apparent. The AI will be smart and know not to take a double team attack for long. AI will try to keep it a one on one fight and attack to keep one down while fighting the other. In the adventure getting to the boss you will inconter minions that as good as fighters as a tenkaichi opponent just less energy skill and power. So each battle will be as enjoyable as the next. You will have to get acustumed to having to take on more than one minion at a time so quick thinking and strategy will be needed. Youll have to watch for sneak attackers and be ready to teleport from a puch to the back or away from your enemy. Of course levels are gain as you fight so you have to get stronger to take on the ever stronger bosses at the end of each area.
So hows that.

Well thanks and thanks for taking the criticism so well. Though I wasnt finished just that it was 3 something in the morning and couldnt go on. I read the edited update to the idea list one thing in my ranting about majin vegeta i left out the t in cant. It should read can't use senzu bean.
Any ways to continue, I was thinking about what you said about the destroyed namek and how to do so and create destroyed enviroment like that into the game with out the blowing the whole stage up method like B3. Well I was thinking The enviroment should react to how you destroy it. Plus the more powerful power lv wise you are the more violent the changes. Every thing in the enviroment should be destructable. Even if this means less levels thats no loss. Its like this 9 different sandboxes are nice but 4 or so really good ones will keep you happy and content plus your attention far longer.
This is how i see it working out. Say you start in the cell games stage. Well missed attacks that strike the ground will damage it. The ground i propose should be interactive too. Getting hit hard into it should rip the ground up shooting spirers upword serounding the crater you formed. Its kind of hard to explain going to try to work on some photoshop pics. So like the normal enviroment could be layered over the destroyed one and as you destroy more and more of the destructable normal enviroment the scorched planet will more and more be seen. The enviroment will react too. The sky will darken thunder will roar and lightning will flash twisters will swirl and whirl around and rain may even start to fall. This is not all at once but a sequence of progressive instibility in the enviroment. As staighted the more powerful you are the faster theses changes will happen. With more powerful attacks striking the enviroment more rapid destruction would happen. There could be extra little flare like say a really high level player starts to power up thunder will sound and lightning will flash until full power is reached. Then the sky returns back to the state it was before. I know this sounds ambitious but it can be done and would be the coolest levels ever.
I was even thinking of being able to destroy the world too if the level gets to damaged. This would force more though out energy attacks plus another posable way to not lose. If the level starts to blowup a timer for destruction will start in red and if there isnt a winner before then both lose as you watch from space as the planet is destroyed SWEET.
Energy attacks should if missed continue on till it strikes the enviroment or fades out. When the attack strikes the enviroment there should be a blast and a damage shock wave of energy that still can give damage but not the full amoun if your cought in it. The more powerful the attack the greater the blast range. The blast will destroy the enviroment if strong enough for the range of the blast. There could also be a mushroom cloud that would acompany the blast. Similar to the nova like blinding light that happens in tenkaichi but this would be damaging with a force that would knock you back and at close range could even damage the player launging the move. So would have to make sure you have enough distances to launch super finishers. I like the blinding effect when super finishers hit that should not be touched just added to with this. Man just thinking of having to out run a blast like omega did against ssj4 goku or dodging the blast just to have to block the on coming blast wave sends chills through me. Agh the best way to say what im talking about blast wave remeber the attack buu used on vegeat when he was mad. That huge expanding dome of energy well thats what i am suggesting. Well not as grand as that or heck when your god like maybe.
Yeah yeah no restictions on leveling. IF you dont limit a players leveling ability this would give long jevity plus with online play powerlevels will sky rocket because there is always someone out there stronger and if you want to be the best its train trian train. This would kinda force online play too since the game offline the computer opponents would be weak compared to the people online. Taking on a level 400 character mmmmmm Im so excited im actually trembling typing this.

This might be going a little too far, but how 'bout a create-a-character mode. You get to pick body, arms, legs, etc. You could choose race(namekian, saiyan, alien, etc.),voice, energy attacks(pick your own name of the technique), and overall movement (speed, power, average, etc.). They could also have their own story mode!

Adrok great idea i dont know how i didnt think of it since i posted that idea when they had a b4 wish list way back. Yes yes thats a must a creat a character mode.
Here is how i invision this. Ok not to add too much to the game the body builds could be used. So you could choose your race gender and a body type from the game. The body type gives you your move set. SO if im a saiyan and I have like a tall bulky body tipe then they would have the slower and more powerful combo move set.
The build up mode could be a combonation of Ultimate battle mode and Dragon arena. You would get Exp for ever battle won and a random capsule from that characters capsule set. After deafeating the 100th char you then get to fight super strong versions of all the fusion characters. After every fight you can go back to character selection and upgrade your character with the move the capsule gave you. Made characters will have only basic combos
favorites, death moves and super death moves can be added from capsules won from an enemy. Build up characters will be able to do any move from the game with sertain conditions met. Like if I want to be able to use big bang attack then I would have to have say super saiyan equiped along with it. Hmm or instead of that you would just have to be at like a sertain level to use some moves.
You will sart off with a 2 slots for capsules. You gain an extra capsule slot at level 5 and then at levels 15 ,35,75, and ever 50 levels after.
Creating a character continued. After choosing a body type you will have a choice of 3 voices for male and 3 female voices if gender female. Then you do the skin color,hair style and weapon. Choosing a weapon would change your combo style depending on the type of weapon chosen. After you get a choice of clothing to equip your character with. This would range from any skin from the game from gokus suit too fusion duds. Weapon users must sacrafice one slot for the use of the weapon. Later in the game better weapons can be found such as the famous Z sword. Weapons give extra attack bonuses at twice and greater the amount str capsules do.
Performing fusions: To do fusions once you get a pair of fusion capsules place them on the characters you want to have fused say goku and vegeta. So when you play as goku or vegeta fusion will apear on there favorites list. Ok this is how my capsule system works. Ok Like i mention each character will have all there moves. When you go to customize your character you will see two sections. The first secion will contain all your special moves like favorites, death moves,and super death moves. A total of 5 spaces. Now these moves can be removed and changed during build up mode. The second section will contain 2 extra slots that increase as you gain levels. Thes slots are used for str def and other support capsules. One think i think would be great is if you add additional capsules of the same type like kamehameha the attack grows in size and damage. So beam attacks double and triple in size combo specials are longer. the second gives 30% more damage to the attack the third gives a max of 50% more to the attack. So having kamehameha in your specials list and having up to two support kamehameha capsules you get a triple size wave and 150% damage to the move. Its basicaly putting more power into the move. I think a mox of 3 is a nice number max you get the effect and damage and there is no explote. So with a max of three some one cant throw like all there ability into a 7 slot kamehamea that could do super damage I think three is a safe number.
Support capsules:
Str 10% - 60% : Physical damage done
Def 10% - 60% : Defence against physical attacks
Spd 10% - 60% : How fast you can dash and fly
Ki 10% - 60% : Ki consumption down by

For got to explain how fusions would work. Ok I mentioned that they would be a favorite move that could be swap in. When going to use a fusion porta or dance you need to get distance away from your opponent so when you activate it you have time to do the dance. With the earings you dont need as much time but if your struck before joining its stopped. Here is the layout of the dance fusion. Instead of a nice clip like in B3 the fusion friend will appear and the dance begins. Say 6 seconds for the fusion to begin. If you are stuck before your fingers meet the fusion is stopped and you have to build up favorite again. Porta fusion, This is alot quicker your other half appears you pass him the earing and then you both are drawn together. Once the flash accures its too late to prevent the fusion and the new character emerges from the flash. Porta last the whole round the dance last for 1 minute(60 seconds).

Make the teleport counter better like the one from Budokai 3 where you can go behind them when you dodge their attacks.
Offensive Teleportation - Bring back the teleportation from Budokai 3 but instead of ping-ponging the opponent back and forth you can hit anywhere you want such as up, down, left, right etc. since there isn’t a side angle to the camera.
Make combo better I thought of an idea that can help this. The square button should be used with the directional pad and if you keep tapping square while holding up for e.x. you do a kick combo, same with the other directions like left and square would equal a punching combo, and others like up, down, and square by itself would equal mixed combos. But you should be able to mix up the combos like start with left and square and then switch to right and square and the combo changes up. You should also be able to do energy attacks in the middle of the combo at any time like a kamehameha similar to Shin Budokai's combo system, or a combo system just like Shin Budokai
More physical specials like the High Speed Rush attack, they should be added because the amount of special moves in this version feel shallow. Or more physical specials like Gohan's soaring dragon strike and etc.
And bring back the ultimate attack cutscenes from Shin budokai . And also the cutscenes for specials with dragon rush like goku’s warp kamehameha. Theses cutscenes should show. you should smacking the opponent around first when they are doing this kind of special.

Fatigue – You should get tired if you use up too much ki
And when an ultimate move is used the field should get badly damaged instead of only the big flash of light, and also when you miss there should be like a crater or something. And when you get hit hard and you fall on the ground there should be a crater.

Offensive Teleportation - Bring back the teleportation from Budokai 3 but instead of ping-ponging the opponent back and forth you can hit anywhere you want such as up, down, left, right etc. since there isn’t a side angle to the camera.
Make combo better I thought of an idea that can help this. The square button should be used with the directional pad and if you keep tapping square while holding up for e.x. you do a kick combo, same with the other directions like left and square would equal a punching combo, and others like up, down, and square by itself would equal mixed combos. But you should be able to mix up the combos like start with left and square and then switch to right and square and the combo changes up. You should also be able to do energy attacks in the middle of the combo at any time like a kamehameha similar to Shin Budokai's combo system, or a combo system just like Shin Budokai
More physical specials like the High Speed Rush attack, they should be added because the amount of special moves in this version feel shallow. Or more physical specials like Gohan's soaring dragon strike and etc.
And bring back the ultimate attack cutscenes from Shin budokai . And also the cutscenes for specials with dragon rush like goku’s warp kamehameha. Theses cutscenes should show. you should smacking the opponent around first when they are doing this kind of special.

And when an ultimate move is used the field should get badly damaged instead of only the big flash of light, and also when you miss there should be like a crater or something. And when you get hit hard and you fall on the ground there should be a crater.

Allow me to explain in more detail what the US DBZ fans have loved about past DBZ games.
1.) They love to have alternate costumes other than the primary costume. This is because American gamers are used to having their own way and in DBZ, they like having the OPTION to switch the costume to a different one. When it is possible to do this, American players feel they have more FREEDOM over their DBZ experience and they enjoy this feeling very much.
2.) US fans really LOVE in game transformations. You know this because of all of the questions about this topic. Yes, we really LOVE in game transformations because again this gives more FREEDOM to the player in their Dragonball Z experience. In B3, in game transformations were possible but in B-T they are not possible. US fans do not like this because some of their FREEDOM has been taken away from them. They want the FREEDOM to change their Dragonball Z experience in the way that they choose. This includes changing costume, transformation state, music, you know the rest….
3.) US fans would love online play. I know that you said this would not be feasible at this time due to latency issues. However, in the US, many games have an online feature when previously they did not. US gamers have grown accustomed to playing games with an online feature and they naturally want the same thing for their Dragonball Z game. Also, US DBZ fans think like this in their minds, “Oh my god, if I could be a strong character like Goku and interact with and fight with other people ALL AROUND THE WORLD (US, Japan, China…) we could truly see who is the WORLD’S STRONGEST FIGHTER! US DBZ fans would love to show the world how good their “Goku” or “Vegeta” is and also how good of a player they are.
4.) In the US, Dragonball Z has had more airtime than Dragonball and Dragonball GT combined together. Therefore, US DBZ fans are saddened when certain popular DBZ characters are omitted and replaced with certain DB or DBGT characters. Also, US fans expect to see the characters that made an impact (or had an important role) in the series to be featured in the game. These characters include Pikkon (who is popular because he is a silent but confident warrior who was faster than even Goku and he defeated Frieza and Cell in one punch) Garlic Jr. (who is popular because even though he is a little brat he became IMMORTAL and could not be “killed”) and Majuub or Super Uub (he is popular because he was one of the strongest characters in all of DBGT and he had ALL of Majin Buu’s moves but he was a good-hearted character) as well as other characters. Let me stress this point one more time: most US DBZ fans would rather have STRONGER characters like Super Android 13, Pikkon, Hildegarn, and Majuub (Super Uub) over WEAKER characters like Dodoria, Chiaotzu, and Zarbon. The simple fact is that stronger characters are MUCH more popular in the United States than weaker characters. It is my earnest belief that the only reason why US fans would want weaker characters like Chiaotzu and Dodoria in the game is because of my previous reason- the ability to have all different types of characters accessible to them (FEATURES and OPTIONS). American players love their OPTIONS and the more OPTIONS you give to them (including additional costumes, in game transformations, what-if transformations, what-if storylines, and online play) the happier they will be.
I would like to thank you for reading my comments up to this point Ryo. I really appreciate your interest and concern for fans not only in the US but also in all parts of the world. However, at this time, I would like to write about a couple of my popular ideas for a future DBZ/GT game in order to make you aware of them.
1. The inclusion of “cool” and “powerful” characters like Pikkon and Majuub (Super Uub) along with their signature attacks like Thunder Flash Attack (Pikkon’s move) and the “Candy Beam Attack” (Majuub’s move against Bebi Vegeta in DBGT)
2. The inclusion of in game transformations with the benefits of separate characters as in B-T. Let me explain: in a future DBZ/GT game, when you transform, not only should your outward appearance look different, your entire move set should be different as well. Therefore, you achieve a variety of move sets while still allowing the player to “choose” more freely which “state” of a character they wish to play as during the actual game-play. Also, in accordance with the TV show, transformations should be more DETAILED and DRAMATIC. Examples of this would be, in the case of a saiyan character such as Goku, veins becoming more prominent, eyes changing from black to green, hair starting to stand up, (if character is transforming into Super Saiyan 2) blue electricity beginning to flash, muscles beginning to bulge, surrounding area becoming affected (rocks start to rise and ground begins to shake) and most of all character is YELLING or SCREAMING as he is transforming. But as you are probably already saying to yourself, “The player will become tired of sitting through the same transformation sequence again and again.” This is very true and I have created a solution for this problem. You can give the player the option to toggle this FEATURE and revert back to the transformation sequence of B3 (quick and not very detailed). Again, you are giving the player more OPTIONS concerning their DBZ experience.
3. The inclusion of a “Create-A-Character” mode or FEATURE would be a very well received one. It is every US DBZ fans dream to have the OPTION to create their own character (a human, saiyan, or alien character), train their character, and then use their character against others in an online or multiplayer setting. Think about it: finally we can have a female Super Saiyan or a Super Saiyan that resembles a different race (such as African, Caucasian [white], or even Asian). US DBZ fans (and no doubt fans across the globe) would be extremely thankful if you allowed them to create their own individual character, play through their own customized story sequences, and ultimately show their creation to the world via online play. The possibilities are endless my friend.
4. Also, the inclusion of open and expansive game-play like that of the Grand Theft Auto (GTA) Series (example found here) would be extremely appreciated by US DBZ fans. Basically, if you took DBZ Sagas, expanded the game world and gave players more FREEDOM to explore the world and interact with a variety of different characters (MORE OPTIONS) and also improved the game, you would have a mega hit that every single DBZ fan would want to purchase.

Well, if Atari wants to make any money at all and really try to sell this game to its limits, they'll want everything a DBZ gamer would want to be put into the game or almost everything. So if they can do this they would have to find out what we want. So this is an Atari thread and I KNOW they are watching. So hopefully they will pass this along to Dimps or Spike and it goes from there. That is the point of this thread.

Okay, the people of Spike should take into consideration that not ALL fans want the same thing. Some are bound to be displeased with what pleases the others. However, this can be avoided. Anyway, let me give my two cents.
Dear people of Spike, (and Dear Mr. Mito)
Budokai Tenkaichi (Sparking!) was a very, very, very good effort at the best DBZ experience ever. However, I didn't buy it, and I never will. Why? Because some of its flaws were too annoying for me as I read them.
CPU A.I.: When you have the game on the "very easy" difficulty, it should be just that. Very easy. If my opponent can thrash me in 10 seconds even though I have the easiest mode available, you simply don't want me to play the game (let alone win it). So please, have the CPU dfficulty according to the difficulty mode I choose.
Combos: More diverse combos. Since all characters have the same speed (more or less), they should be distinguished through combos (not just blast attacks).
Effects: This is a nit-pick of course, but adding a few blur effects when your character is flying at super speed would be really nice. The energy effects need a little bit more polishing as well. The characters also need more fluid animation (like those in Dimps).
Transformations: FOR THE LOVE OF CHRIST, MAKE AN OPTION THAT TURNS ON / OFF THE IN-GAME TRANSFORMATIONS!! Half of the DBZ gamers want them, half of them don't. While I like to start with Goku and transform him step by step into SSJ4, I would like to pick SSJ2 Majin Vegeta from the start, as well as Mecha Freeza. It could work!! Since SSJ4 Goku has 3 slots and Goku has 7, A Goku which has 4 slots occupied in order to turn into SSJ, SJJ2, SSJ3, and SSJ4 ends up with 3 free slots (just like a SSJ4-by-default-Goku)!!
Can't you have the transformations work in a way like Street Fighter Alpha 3?? You know, where you pick your character you get to choose between X, Y and Z modes? In BT2, you coould pick Goku, then the game asks "In-Game Transformation?" Choosing "Yes" makes you start as Goku (and you can power him up step by step during the fight). Choosing no makes you choose a "specific" form of Goku (without it powering down).
Oozarus: Power-down them a little bit. The fights against them are pure hell. This is a game, so there should be some balance between the characters.
Character Roster: I am happy with the roster, but if you want to add DBZ-movie characters, be my guest. They're welcome.

Those r some great ideas u guys.My ideas are:to transform to oozaru at a full moon but u are in control.Your opponant can cut off your tail with a sword [Trunks] energy beams or hand combat.If they succeed you change back, lose your tail obviously but u are wearing a small amount of ripped clothing.
To have voice effects like Frieza's evil laugth or ozzaru roar during fights.
Kid and teen Pan and Launch as new characters.Launch can have an arsenal of guns and maybe some grenades then suddenly she sneezes, realises where she is and results to kung fu combat.Goku Jr and Vegata Jr should be added too.Kid Gohan in his yellow costume [from first episode of DBZ] with a tail should be availiable.
Gt Vegeta and other characters have their own stories so your not drawn down to a few characters to choose from.
During stories there are civilians like Erasa and Sharpner [from orange star high school] so you can do quests away from the storyline.
All characters that have/had tails should have them.

Ok Atari are you listening, I mean this is your forums...I know you don't make the games, you just publish it but pass this along to whoever is doing this one being Spike or Dimps. I mean why not, you get good ideas in the game and it will sell right? Please don't ignore this whole thread:
1. Make everyone unique in a way(Different Moves)
2. Take the force-power balance crap off. Make everyone equal power
3. Online Enabled Multiplayer matches via Broadband. USB headsets is a must to go along with it.
4. Start from Dragonball and END with GT. Meaning ALL character battles and ALL characters at least.
5. 2-Player Training. It was good when it was in Budokai 3. But they took it out in Tenkaichi, why? I don't know, but put it back in please.
6. ALL Shenrons
7. Some sort of cross-communication between this and a new DBZ game for PSP cuz I know Shin Budokai is not the last DBZ for PSP!
8. Just stop and make it for PS3!? just a suggestion, if not we can wait for Tenkaichi 3 or whatever it will be.
9. LONGER story mode
10. Maybe an option to choose fighting style of Budokai 3 mode or Tenkaichi mode. Maybe...2 disc...maybe...
11. Better fighting styles and combos.
12. Keep kami's Lookout in as an arena!
13. Be able to fight in space like start on ground and then fly up into space and be able to knock your opponent back down.

First of all,I´ve been a Dragonball videogamer for more than ten years I have seen the whole development of the franchise in videogames and I can say you people(atari) had made the greatest Dragonball game ever withTenkaichi.
Here are some suggestions for Sparking Neo based on my Tenkaichi feedback:
-More battle abilities and a deeper hand to hand combat aswell as more possibilities in the long range combat in order to avoid rutines like new combos,chains,reversals for every character,chainables teleports like in Budokai 3,different or more interactive throwing moves....
-I found close range Energy Beam attacks imposible to avoid in the first Tenkaichi(it was simply imposible to lose while controlling piccolo for instance by just keeping doing Makankosappö at short range,and it takes so much life from enemies that it was useless to take risk while going to the hand to hand combat,so I think that should be balance and fixed by adding a faster response to teleport while in short range for instance.
-A deeper personaliced characters with more exclusive tecniques (or groups/kind of tecniques shared by characters).
-Teleporting for everycharacter! every character in the show can make a teleport between not very far distances,and it´s just great how fast the game turns while you control Goku or Cell wich are the only ones who had this move in the first Tenkaichi.It´s a waste to sacrifice this move for only two characters.
-Sucesive teleportings as those in Budokai 3, this kind of minigames brokes rutines and force you to keep focus on the development of the combat and enemies movements and keep reflexes up!
-Battle Damage was just an awesome addition,was just great,so this time it will be great to have a deeper aproach on this point,I think everybody has missed that deep goku in namek battle damage (without shirt and pants with holes) wich is in my opinion the most representative image for tyhe whole show.This can be done adding a new level of battle damage or just giving this new level to those characters who showned it in the show like Vegeta,Piccolo,Goku,Gohan etc....
-Backgrounds battle Damage for Gigantic Beam Attacks like Genkidama etc...
and more versions for some of them like Destroyed Namek (wich was missing in Tenkaichi 1)
-Remove the rolling-analog-stick system and adding a more interactive one like pressing a button combination faster than the enemy (as in Narutimett hero) the rolling system is just unconfortable,it breaks the momentum and its unbalanced ( cpu´s with high level allways wins or it is just no match for you in the lower levels).
-It will be great to limit the amount of gigantic beam attacks you can do in each match by adding another energy bar or something,it´s very unbalanced in the first Tenkaichi cause you can keep on charging this kind of attack again and again and shoot them in short range wich is almost umblockeable,but as I suggested before the whole blast attack should be fixed.

u mean the instant transmission? Kid Buu had it as well and I think Metal Cooler should have it in BT2 if he's in the game

TenkaichiDude thanks for bringing that post here. I agree with most said in it. The only game that i feel that i can test my gaming battle skills in is Dead or alive ultimate for the box. This was the only online fighter besides fightnight that you could battle in real time with little to no lag. In my neck of the woods i feel im one of the best. Online though you get to battle people who are far better. Plus online play allows you to better your self in your fighting technique and skill. The whole thing about proving how good you are to the world I agree with that totally. There is no greater thrill for me to battle some one far more skilled then I. I get to see how to use moves I never considered using plus beating that person feels even better. The whole concept of dbz saiyan wise is fighting stronger apponents. Any goku vegeta fan will agree too this. Thats why I crave online play for dbz so bad. Plus taking away this whole level cap. I want to fight someone at a much higher lv and kick the crap out of them if posable. The level cap like mentioned takes away the freedom of going as high or getting as powerful as you want. I remember playing GT final bout from when it was first released for like 3 years leveling up my veget to his max level of 150. Three years of off and on play and you know what the kicker is. There was no one who could match my guys power one kick or blast would kill a lesser character under 100 in one shot. I spent the better part of a year leveling a goku that allow someone use of to fight my character.
Any ways thats what im saying if anything even if its not in neo. Online play , character creation and a leveling system with no limits balanced that even at high levels fights wont be quick. Plus there has to be a balance on level differences. A level 10 character shouldnt be able to last long against say a level 50.

how about a replay feature, works like in the first 3 Driver games, after the match you can watch a replay of it and edit it with custom camara views and effects like slow motion, after that you can save the replay and watch it anytime you want, you can also name the replay and pick a song to play in the background

Great ideas as usual wheelman.
Before i get started here's an older idea i had on a different thread.
Yeah i was going over the vids of shin budokai the psp dbz game. I notice that some elements from tenkaichi where used in it like the charge up ki blast and the aura of energy when they hyper dash.
This got me thinking, a perfect blend of the two games would indead be an even greater game then them both.
At close range the camera would be in the side scrolling Budokai fashion. When you move away far away enough the screen would split if two people are playing and go into tenkaichi camera fromat from the back. The game would use the budokai fight machanics with the tenkaichi flight and ki moves. So that means the combo set of Budokai with the flight dinamics of tenkaichi plus the way the death moves and favorite moves. We got to have the transformations back even if it means less characters but not by much. Plus there has to be hp jumps along with str,def,speed and ki when you transform.
Transformations will allow you to assend a lv or desend your transformed state. This will allow you to toy with you opponent plus adding another element of dbz.
Now i know all this does fit on the control pad of the ps2 but dont forget the budokai special moves like hyper mode, transforming the top buttons were only shortcuts. Eather the button combo proesses will be used or make use of that anlog right stick for use. So the the four basic buttons x and such will be budokai style punch, guard,block and this is where a mix has to happen. Since budokai use kick and tenkaichi has dash so combos using kick will have to start with a punch but if you use the kick button first it would use ki instead like how in tenkaichi instead of a power guard crush move it would come out as a kick. This will allow more techneque to the combos.

Hopefully they will fix practice mode and make it more like Budokai 3 pratice mode. Online play would be nice. I hope they expand character's special moves (use L2+▲+↓, ↑, →, ← and L2+•+↓, ↑, →, ←). This would be especially nice with a Create-A-Character mode. Moves would have there own capsule like system where character get a certain amount of slots. Ultimate moves take up 2 slots. This would prevent a player from equiping all finishers. Favorites moves can only be equipped on L2+•+direction and Finishers can only be equipped on L2+▲+direction This would allow the player to define different moves for his character. Also L2+ X or ◙ +↓, ↑, →, ← could be used for transformations. Also have certain Special moves that can't be used with charcters that have transformations or give non transformation characters a boost in ki, life, or one of stats. Double the radius of the playing field. This should make the playing field 400% (4x) bigger.

how about a replay feature, works like in the first 3 Driver games, after the match you can watch a replay of it and edit it with custom camara views and effects like slow motion, after that you can save the replay and watch it anytime you want, you can also name the replay and pick a song to play in the background

Well i dont know about replay eather but if they can capture the right camera angle where you can see the battle like watching the show well then that would be really sweat. :up:
What if tenkaichi had a co op mode split screen where you fight like tenkaichi but in like a much larger Sagas style adventure. When i say sagas i mean the game would be an adventure like sagas but play like tenkaichi. As i said in the above post. I think that would be the best way besides online play to improve this game. Imagine a Vast explorable world thats completly destructable with multiple minions to fight. Each minion would be as agresive and difficult as a vs tenkaichi fighter just with less hp and attack power then a boss type character fighter. If they start to jump you then use the favorite force field move that can cancel weak attacks and knock back attacking foes. Hmmm just pictured that like 3 siabamen attacking at once and then just erupting with that move throwing them off maybe smashing one or two into a near by hill or tree. Of course the time must be shorten for how long you hold that move. In tenkaichi when used your foe can be right back on you before you finish with the move that sucks. It should last long enough to get them off you and attack or get away. Maybe change it that if you hold down the cirlcle button when using it cause it to continue on. The longer you hold it your ki will drain till you release. That way you can keep it up as long as you need. For quick knock backs or extended use for canceling out ki shots or weak blast.
Oh and there could be a groupl effort online like have up to 6 player groups on missions to defeat enemy fighters progressing through the show. You and you band could start off mission one defeat raditz. You and your created fighter with your new commrads go out and battle threw the minions up to the boss. It would be up to you and the group to reach him alive and defeat him with out diing. Players who die return to eather the starting area for missions or there could be a after world event to do for each time you must come back to life. Fighters who servive the fight are reward with the boss exp and what every reward there is. This would be a fighter adventure rpg.
Oh and voice comunication would be a must for on the fly strategy. Like setting up for a group kamehame ha attack. Which as the beams fly toward there target they murge and gain extra damaging power.
Or using solar flare while the others ready there super death blast so he cant dodge. Namekians would have natural healing skills.
Can you imagine how much fun that would be even the offline two player mode still would be great. Using the teams different skills to help take down a far stronger enemy. There could even be handycap matches where you can battle two on one matches or 1 on 2. That sounds like thats a dbz i must have. What you guys think?

I like the game clock idea but I want to take it further lets say I picked kid gohan and he has his tail.If atrai should put the game clock they should make when the full moon apears anyone with a tail gohan and kid goku tranform into a great ape imendatly like a really cool cut scence but it is like the show tranformation.

Yeah I was thinking about that too but forgot to put it in with every think elese poping up in my head lol. Just on the last post too i was going to mention that if you were fighting raditz and were unlucky that the time you reach him a full moon comes up then it would make thinks far harder. Your right though all characters that are sayians sporting a tail should also transform at the full of the moon. Another Idea that i was throwing around in my head was a fable style aging system that would age your character through the played out series. So there would have to be lengthy battles before each age jump. So you could start off like kid gohan. Then at a certain point in the game youll age a few years say from the raditz saga to the garlic jr saga. At that point you age to the what they call teen gohan form. This is just a example and only effect the created characters. Then from there the next age jump will be in the buu saga where youll jump to adult/teen. During each age jump depending on how you fight effects how your char turns out. If you like to melee allot then your characters physical trates will be more appearant. If you died alot from taken alot of enviroment and ki damage during your adventures you may have random scars show up. If you like using ki attacks and shy away on the melee then you char will be slightly thiner and not as muscler as the melee characters. Melee chars would have a bonus damage and defence+1 bonus while the Ki user would have a ki and deathmove/finisher +1 bonus. Adult hood would have a slighty higher bonus and would depending on the fighting style of the player.
Lol just got this Idea from doing this. Ok i know how some have been asking about alternate costumes. Well how about this, if there is a create a character mode well then there can be like clothing that could be bought or won or found for wearing. These could give defence bonuses and such. These would be more support capsules. So you could even change costumes of the normal z characters by equiping a support clothing capsule. You could have goku and place sayian armor on him or ginu and place the martials gui goku likes to wear on him and on and on. There could be the roshi gi , king kio's gi that would have a +1 def, different sayian armor styles with differnt bonuses,and this also ties in with the use of weapon capsules mentioned in other post of mine. The clothes capsules could have alternate ways of wearing them like in def jam fight for new york. You could have goku's gi and choose to go bear chested. Then when played and are damaged youll get that classic battle damaged goku. There could also be a color level too so you can have you own custom colored clothes. The armor would be the same way you would be able to equip it then go into the options of it and then change color, change the style of the armor form like sholder pads,lower pads,and tights. So you would be able to make vegetas first armor or change it to how he had it in the cell saga or just have the tights with boots and gloves.
There would also be ginu armor, piccolo stye shoulder pads and uniform, freeza style armor,yardrath clothes,kio shin clothes, and a starter standard outfit.
The armors break down:
Freeza:
This would have the option to change it any style freeza, king kold or kooler ever wore. This would be the pads and helmet.
Piccolo:
This would have piccolos and gohans styles. From the turbin,head rap and shoulder pad/cape.
Saiyaman:
This would be the sun glasses,head rap, helmet,gui,and tights with boots and gloves.

All i want in this game is to have the option to turn in-game transformation's (igt's) off. That is all i ask for. I like the option to be able to perform igt's when i want or to have a battle with only one form like in BT1. This will make the game much mroe enjoyable for me. please please add this in I beg of you. This is the only thing i want in and im sure some others want it in to.

I want to add some more related to character outfits:
Let´s see,Goku showed this outfits in the series:
-Kaito outfit (with japanese kanji at the back)
-Kaito outfit Battle Damaged (the same but torned by freeza)
-Saiyan outfit (the same as vegeta at the time chamber)
-Terran orange outfit (the cell saga outfit without kanji at the back)
-Blue Outfit (at the end of the series wich was the first he showed when he was child before mutenroshi gave his)
-Orange outfit (GT outfit super saiyan 4 outfit)
That´s it,I think all of them are worthy to have in Tenkaichi 2,but the kaito battle damaged outfit and Blue outfit are absolutely imperative,we are talking about the star of the entire series,the character selected almost 50% of the times by everyone.
Other less important but cool anyway outfits:
-Vegeta deep battle damaged(like that against cooler)
-Piccolo Turbant and cloak outfit (great)
-Gohan orange outfit
-Trunks black shirt outfit (Broly,super butoden 2)
Other characters like let´s say Dabra,Freezer,Nappa,Boo,Reecom don´t need more outfits,they are not that important and nobody will miss additional outfots for them,so it is better to focus on those main characters more important and more often selected.

I see there have been already a lot of good ideas. I only have something little to add, something that wouldn't take a lot of programming effort.
For the VS mode, give us the Options to turn off Health Bars, Ki Bars, Timer and the Damage Counter.
Just a little something to make the battles more interesting and intense. This is something that was already done in "Super Butoden" for the SNES. You fight practically blind, not knowing how much Health or Ki you have left. In Tenkaichi, the only way to tell how much Health or Ki you have left, would be to judge by the amount your characters clothes are damaged and how big his Aura is.
The options should appear right before you choose your Stage to fight in.

-REPLAY FEATURE!!! that would be so GREAT! choose camera,angle,speed,saving etc....
-Finishing animations showing the enemy defeated like C-13 exploding in pieces,or Cell being desintegrated after a kamehameha,and it could be controlled to not be too gore by respeting human characters (wich I know it could be a problem)

Too me personally, I dont care about the costumes as long as they are in the game! Less constumes=more disk space availible=more stuff!
1. Ability to power down without having to waste ki or wait for it to drain like in B3
2. Ability to power down transformation without having to wait to ki is low and being knocked down like in B3.
3. Fly higher up
4. Knock opponent so hard into the ground like after a huge special or knock attack so that you can then go and fight beneth the earth's crater or go into HFIL.

Another idea I had and discussed with some people on the gamefaqs boards.
DESPERATION MOVES
Ultimate Moves that should only become available when the character is badly damaged and in the Danger Zone. As and example let's take Majin Vegeta. Instead of allowing him to be able to Self Destruct the Moment he has sufficient Ki, he should only be allowed to do it near death.
Another examples are:
- Base Goku - [x4 or x20 Kaioken KameHameHa]
- Freezer - [Planet Destroyer] - This is a Move where he throws a Ki Ball at the Planet and you have 2-3 Minutes left to finish him off or Freezer wins. To my surprise I heard this Move was already in "Super Sonic Warriors" for the Gameboy Advance. So it's not a far fetched idea.
- Perfect Cell - [Growing buff and performing a slam combo]
- SSJ2 Teen Gohan - [Father-Son-KameHameHa]
Of course not every characters would need Desperation Moves, only those that ever performed them in the Anime or Manga.
BETTER BATTLE DAMAGE
I always thought the characters should have at least 3 different stages of Battle Damage.
- Stage 1 - Bruises and dusty clothes
- Stage 2 - Cuts and ripped clothes
- Stage 3 - Bloody and blown of shirts, armor, etc,
CHARGABLE ENERGY MOVES
The Blast 1, Blast 2 and Ultimate Blast Moves should all be able to be charged by holding the Ki Button down. This would be great for Moves like Goku's Warp KameHameHa. You hold the button and charge, and when you let go of the button Goku Teleports and unleaches his KameHameHa.
And since you'd be able to charge your attacks, all the cutscenes should go. No matter how short they are, even if they are just 2 seconds long, get rid of them. Zone of the Enders has a similar playstyle and some characters had similar attacks as the DBZ characters. And all Moves could be charged and executed with no difficulty.
It would be a lot more fun to be able to charge a Special Beam Cannon in real-time and a lot more satisfying when you managed to shoot it and your opponent couldn't stop you when he had the chance.
ULTIMATE CUTSCENES ARE A NO
Thought I mentioned it again so nobody misses it. In Tenkaichi it was a lot of fun to perform Ultimate Blasts whenever you wanted, from wherever you wanted and you could always dodge and evade them. Like Freezer's Death Ball. But judging by the newest Gameplay Videos I was shocked to see that Freezer's Death Ball, that could be performed from anywhere and be dodged, was changed into a long cutscene of hit combos and the final Death Ball Throw that now is unavoidable.
Of course you could always avoid Freezer's Rush Attack and prevent from ever getting hit by the Death Ball, but does that now mean that I can never throw a Death Ball anymore without engaging into close combat? If that is the case, that's a reeeeaaally bad move Spike.
*EDIT*
Tenkaichi can work without cutscenes, the way the game is build is perfect for it. And if you don't believe me then sit down with a copy of Zone of the Enders: The 2nd Runner and play through the versus mode. The gameplay is really similar to Tenkaichi, and for that Spike I'm grateful, and look at the Jehuty Robot. All his Energy based attacks are really similar to the Moves DBZ characters have and they are all executed in real-time.
Or look at games like Power Stone for the Dreamcast. The character **** Tang is basically a Super Saiyan knock-off and has attack's based on the KameHameHa and Genkidama. And all those attacks are being performed in real-time without any sort of cutscene interfering.
Or maybe you should look at something that is closer to the franchise. And for that we have perfect examples in Dragonball Z: Hyper Dimension for the SNES and Super Dragonball Z that is in Arcades and is also this year going to be released on the PS2. And then there are the Super Sonic Warrior games for the GBA and DS. Almost all the Ki Attacks are performed in real-time with no cutscenes.
I know that you won't make any drastic changes concerning Tenkaichi 2 and throw the cutscenes out just because of this post. But I beg of you to take these thoughts of mine into consideration if you should ever plan to make a Tenkaichi 3. Being able to perform and maybe even charge Ki attacks in real-time would greatly increase the gameplay experience and also wouldn't interfere with the pace of the game. And not hindering the pace of the game is what you always had in mind I believe.

As for the game being like the show, I think that GT lil Goku should only be able to go ss4 (as well as ss2 and ss3), and the dbz Goku should only go to ss3. There should be a exterme ultimate attack like in the dbz for the ds (this attack is done only when you're about to die).

I saw that the producers at E3 said the story mode would go from DragonBall to GT. So I hope that there's more than one costume and for the fights with Piccolo and Raditz since there all lets keep true to the anime goku's barefoot. And for the Vegeta and frieza fight Goku takes his shirt off like in Budokai 1because without that theres no damage and no action just like in lame Budokai 2.

dudes why arent u guys makin this game???
I agree with all of ya but heres a few ideas of my own...
1) in create-a-character mode (if they have one) u should be able to use fusion with an actually character. But they must be the same size as you. Like if ur character is big, then u should be able to fuse with Broly or Bojack. Then u could pick how the fused character looks and wat moves he uses. The stronger the people who fuse are the stronger the fused characer is.
2) U should be able to customize characters costumes like in Tekken 5. like take Goku and give him Brolly's costume with angel wings and a halo or somethin.
3) HUGE environments. Like it would take 3 minutes (maybe a bit to high...)to fly from one side of the area to the other.

I agree with all of ya but heres a few ideas of my own...
1) in create-a-character mode (if they have one) u should be able to use fusion with an actually character. But they must be the same size as you. Like if ur character is big, then u should be able to fuse with Broly or Bojack. Then u could pick how the fused character looks and wat moves he uses. The stronger the people who fuse are the stronger the fused characer is.
2) U should be able to customize characters costumes like in Tekken 5. like take Goku and give him Brolly's costume with angel wings and a halo or somethin.
3) HUGE environments. Like it would take 3 minutes (maybe a bit to high...)to fly from one side of the area to the other.

U never know....they might take this into consideration when they tenkaichi3...and u cant do down levels manually. Thats what i was tryin to say. I also forgot these 2 ideas

how about a small detail like hair moving while powering up
In B1-B3, and now in BT2, transformations all have the same thing in common. The characters pump up for a split-second and then a flash hides the switch between character models. I think it would be cool, for instance if they actually showed, say Goku's hair actually stand up and turn blond. If they can pull it off in the GBA games, can't they do it on the PS2/GC?

Saner really needs to calm down and be patient about Pan. He is getting on people's nerves big time. If Pan is going to be in the game(which she better not be) I will seriously beat her up as Super Vegito, SS4 Gogeta, and SS1 Gogeta. I just hope that those stupid fusion and potara skills don't come back. I want to be able to choose Vegito, Gogeta, and SS4 Gogeta from the character select screen.

I agree. Pan is probably Saner's all time favorite character. If transformations are included in the character count, then he just might be out of luck.

You're right. The Pan argument should only be in the "Please make Pan playable this time!" thread made by Saner. The only things I'm really hoping for is that Vegito, SS1 Gogeta, and SS4 Gogeta can be chosen from the character select screen. Plus I want the alternate uniforms back.

For one thing I like the character pan and her attitude is that of true saiyan heritage. Being so tempermental you would think she would be a natural super saiya - jin. Anways enough about here. Ive been looking over you guys additional ideas since post pages 4 and 5. There is a bit of whinning about cut scenes hey some like it some dont mentuioned earlier there should be a option to turn on and off this function. I on the other hand dont know what the gripe is about cut scenes they been a key part of the series that in the Budokai series were in some cases made more interactive. Example the dragon rush in 3 was self done. Consindering that there may be one cutscene attack each player has why dont you dont use it if your so unhappy with it. Well enough of that too on to better and more important things.
Talk of fan fusion i heard mentioned like there was in B2. :up: Great idea I love it since the series has end so long ago it would be nice to see some of those fantasy fusions back into the game and maybe some fan characters like the DBA choice stuff.
I see some people still talk of having create a character mode. Again another must have feature in this or the next incarnation of this game. Ive talked about this before in lengthy paragraphs. Like mentioned above about fan fusions having a create character mode plus the online password feature would bring fresh new characters to the game. Can you say ssj pan lol.
To the doubter hey I throw this question out to you. If this forum isnt a source of (free) info/feedback and input about the game, then why is it here in the first place?
A lot of whats asked for may not be possible in the courant limitations of the ps2. Eather by disk space or memeroy. None the less may be feasible for the next gen consoles. The next gen stuff is all about the detail and things as full on transformations with no flash, hair waving and such will be possible. If there is a Tenkaichi 3 planed then it must be a thing of beauty. Consider all aspects the ground cracking under your power as you powerup. Real time damage to the enviroment and surroundings. From what i have seen of next gen tech T3 would be the most complete dbz game.
If your new to this tread I encourage you to read the posts from the begining. You may see ideas that inspire, elaborate or show another perspective on what you first thought. ;)

I was thinking maybe they could remove the quick little scene showing the character launching their moves, because its like having a big sign to your opponent that says "Hey, Get ready to dodge!" It would be more challenging if all of a sudden you just see a Kamehameha wave coming at you with no warning other than a faint "HA!" coming from the distance.

yeah it should only show u doin the move on ur side of the screen. so u the move and see the cutscene while the opponent only hears the words and sees a giant energy ball rushing torwards them. much like wat tylergamer84 said

yea seriously wats up with that! i hated having to charge up for 5 minutes (clear exageration...) and then finally pull off a kamehameha for SSJ4 Goku. they should atleast put a different and stronger attack for Goku's (or anyone elses) super attack.

What made that even worst was if you powered up all that time and miss with the attack and like I did a few times :haha: :haha: also make it easier to dodge atacks via teleportaion

i dont know why everybody forgot about this, but I think they should definitely bring back the ability to dodge melee attacks like you could do in b3. that would solve some of the repetive problems in the melee combat system they have...also adding back a kick button is a marvelous idea.

That would be awsome as long the fusion timer for applicable fused characters goes away. I really only say this for the people who hated the timer in B2 & B3. I think the timer makes it more true to the show, I mean the game doesn't have to match the show 100%, just little touches here and there, anyway if they were to have a timer for Fusion Dance fusions I think it should be 3-4 minutes long and none of that crud like in B3 with SSJ3 Gotenks and SSJ4 Gogeta getting cut down to five seconds since they are so powerful.

O.K. I know what your saying. What I'm saying is when Kid Goku turns SS4 his grows into adult Goku like in the anime. He stays a kid from reg to SS3 but when he goes SS4 he turns into an adult like in th anime. But making adult Goku from Z turn SS4 is what my problem is.

My first idea was you know how in Tenkaichi 1, if you and your opponent was really close, and you wanted to do a move, you had to keep backing up in order to do it. Its so annoying. Understand now?

1. TAKE THAT FORCE BALANCE OFF! I dont want to be ss4 gogeta and fight hurcule and beat him in like 2 seconds. Make everyone equal.
2. Put the capsules back in like in B3, I like that better than the z items.
3. Make world tournament more "dramatic".
4. A way to stop flying or teleport. Like when I wanted to do high speed rush and my person flys sraight to them, the oppenent could just do a move like kamehameha and stop you without anyway for me to dodge it.

How about a new burst mode? When the charaters collide and enter burst mode, three different button combos appear every few seconds over the course of ten or seconds or so and the player who gets two out of three wins the burst mode.

well it would be cool if the songs were played depending on the battle. like if its kid goten vs chibi trunks, then it could be just normal music, but if its Omega Shenron Vs SSJ4 Gogeta, than there better be some hard rock being played. :punk:

What if they used the music they played in the English version episodes from Funimation maybe some music from the early days of DBZ before the "Ultimate Uncut" episodes. Keep in mind this is for the English version only. See the only reason we did not get the original music is because Funimation cant buy the rights to the japanese music owned by Toei Animation

I'd like it if they worked on the movement some. Most of the time I try to dash out of the of an attack, I some how end up dashing into it instead. Personally, I'd like the to change dashing from Up/Down/Left/Right + X to double tap the direction you want to go, and for moving up or down quickly you can double tap R1 or R2 provided the controls will be the same.

most of the music in the Japanese movies suck in my opinion so they shouldnt use any of that. and Im glad all you guys have posted just about all the ideas I was gonna post. saves me alot of work. YES tenkaichi SHOULDNT of had no in game transformations. they DO need to switch up the music more. maybe some rap in it too and the voices DO need to be clear and more audible particulary in the finishing and Super finishing moves. I dont really think that much music from the kiddy version of the show will make it that much better. the theme song was pretty gay if you ask me. one thing that pissed me off in Ultimate battle mode was that towards the end of the list when you reach the top of the last 15 characters (even if the characters really suck like krillin or videl for example) they can still be able to beat you pretty easily even against someone really strong like Broly even if you happened to turn on the difficulty for ultimate battle mode on easy which I dont really like to do

WAIT! I HAVE AN IDEA FOR WHEN YOU FUSE!!! You can still fuse in battle, but when you fuse, you have no time limit, to turn back to normal, there will be a button to de-fuse.
Or for those time limit fans, you can make it like BFII's hero time, your fusion time will decrease by taking damage, and will increase when you damage the CPU. Many of those good combo people may use combos to stay in the fusion for as long as they like!

What I wish is that in a future Budokai game they create a " Create a Character Appearnce " Option, like on Smackdown VS raw or something. That'd be simply awesome, though highly doughtful they would do it.

All of the DBZ games have been great, but there are alot of things that I would want to see in Tenkaichi 2, or really another game accually since they already made it. Here's a list.
Optional Halos for every Character. When Selecting your character, wouldn't it be great to choose weather they are dead or not? Think about it. Dead Frieza (with halo) Vs. Dead Cell (with halo)!
Hell as a level. This came close in Budokai 3, when the option of selecting Namek totally destroyed looked like Hell, but more of the Hell that we think about with the fire and brimstone. I want to play in Hell DBZ style! With all those floating barrier things that look like jelly beans.
Snakeway/King Kai's Planet as a level. Wouldn't it be nice to fight on snake way, and be able to fly up to King Kai's planet? Also, there could be a "level change" effect, if you will. If you fall off Snake way during battle, you go to the Hell level as I mentioned above.
Fuse with ANYONE! Now this is a great idea. This would be an extra feature where you could fuse anyone, with anyone using the fusion dance or potaras. However, this might not work out, as the great people who make the game would have to draw every single fusion possibility! But think about it! Napitz (Raditz and Nappa) Gokenshin (Goku and Tein). Krillunks (Krillin and Trunks) Videighteen. (Videl and 18) The possibilities are ENDLESS!
Create your own character. Now this is where it gets good. This feature has been in many games, like the Tony Hawk games. Wouldn't you love to create YOURSELF in the dragonball z universe? Options could include weather you want to be a human, saiyan (that'd be me!), Namekian, Android or Alien. Next choose the gender (except for namekiens). Then choose what the character looks like. For instance if I made a character, I'd give him long hair, a black cape, black gi, maybe some saiyan armor. Then choose transformations. Want yourself to go SSJ and fight Vegeta? Go for it! Then here's the good part. You know how on Super Mario Party 6 they introduced that microphone thingy for gamecube? Here's a treat for your created character. You can RECORD yourself and put those to when your getting your ass kicked like. "Ugh!" and "damn it!" and such, or when you first meet your oponent "I'm gonna **** you up!" or when you lost "Eh, maybe I should have thought twice trying to play in an anime video game as myself" or when you win "my dick's bigger anyway" he he.. yeah good stuff. last but not least, customize your own attacks! Give yourself a combination of the kamehamea, kienzin, and death ball!
Extra Super Saiyajins: Admit it. You've always wanted Raditz to come back and seek revenge, only this time he's a Super Saiya-jin? Well this is what this idea is about. Raditz, Nappa, Pan, Saiyaman, maybe even Bardock all have the super saiyan skill!
Torn Clothes: They did this in the first Tenkaichi, but not good enough. When Goku gets hit with a blast, tear his shirt to shreads like in the anime! He he.. and when Videl gets hit with a blast... (eh maybe I should shut up he he he)
Blood and Gore. Well when I am playing as Trunks and I slice Frieza up.. I want to see Frieza being sliced into tiny bits, like in the series. And when I'm throwing some hardcore punches, I want to see some blood fly everywhere. I want to see Piccolo's beam cannon go THROUGH Raditz and Goku like on the first budokai. I want to see Frieza laying there on Namek in peices. I want to see Trunks use his sword to chop Piccolo in half and have Piccolo regenerate!
Two v. 1. How about this idea.. kind of like in Sagas. For example, you could play as Vegeta, have a computer or friend play your alley (Goku), and kick the living hell out of Frieza!? Cool.
Vegeta's pink BADMAN shirt. Well that would just be great.

Well this is Atari's official site. There are people who actually work at atari watching this thread so I think they are passing our ideas along to spike. I mean if they want this game to sell they have to listen to what we want. Dose spike have a website? If you ask me I think most of our ideas have been looked at and added.

Ok like goku is normal then with the flick or click of whatever button will be used to transform, he goes super sayin instantly and he has the yellow aura and his clothes is moving with the wind or sokmething like that.
Then for ss2 its the same but lightning starts to appear.
For ss3 and ss4 you can do normal game pause for that.
Or lets say in order to transform into ss4 you need to go golden ape for goku 1st or use bulma's blunts waves for vegeta.
And for goku's ss3 form, lets say while poering up you hold the transform button, so while he powering up you see goku staring to transfom, hair getting longer, the level starts to shake, wind moves faster, and rocks come up all while holding the transform button and pwering up. I think that pretty cool. Do you?

I actually like the idea of the Super Saiyan 3 Goku. What if Brolly was a good guy? THAT"S something that even I don't think will happen. Though that would be interesting to see. Another I want to see, the orignal Budokai cutscenes like the ones in the show and the mini-games like Piccolo Charging for a Special Beam Cannon. I enjoyed those. There can be different transformation times for different character. Like for Frieza, when he goes 100% You see a little bar in the corner raising to 100% :P. Maybe, it's a good idea though True.

1. Power down transformations. Lets say if you want o transform you need to click up on the right analog stick, then click down would power you down.
2. Charge up finishing moves like is shin budokai.
3. Ability to blow up moons. Lets say you are fighting vegeta when he had a tail and armor, before he is allowed to transform there could be a mini games maybe or he has to charge up and you have to charge up a beam and blow up the moon before he transforms.
4. Make a fake moon thing like vegeta did in the show
5. Alternate costumes, choose the costumes of the sayins that have a tail, then they could transform mid battle into ape. Only if they have the tail. Like kid goku, kid gohan, vegeta armored, raditz, nappa, etc.
6. Transform into ape mid battle and if your tial get cut off you have to transform back.

Yeah, I want to see SS1 Gogeta's lightning fast punches to the foe, then the 2 kicks with his knee, then the backflip kick when he uses the Soul Punisher. In B3, that move was the best.

1. Power down transformations. Lets say if you want o transform you need to click up on the right analog stick, then click down would power you down.
2. Charge up finishing moves like is shin budokai.
3. Ability to blow up moons. Lets say you are fighting vegeta when he had a tail and armor, before he is allowed to transform there could be a mini games maybe or he has to charge up and you have to charge up a beam and blow up the moon before he transforms.
4. Make a fake moon thing like vegeta did in the show
5. Alternate costumes, choose the costumes of the sayins that have a tail, then they could transform mid battle into ape. Only if they have the tail. Like kid goku, kid gohan, vegeta armored, raditz, nappa, etc.
6. Transform into ape mid battle and if your tial get cut off you have to transform back.
Like em?

Okay, everytime I see someone post in favor of of them bringing real-time fusions to this game, alot of other people pretty much post the same thing, "I hated the timer/botching the fusion input and broken earrings, keep fusions separate"! What if you had a much longer timer, as I posted before, and no need to enter a input command or do an earring mini-game? Jsu have the right characters on your team, and you just have to press a single button, like maybe the Select button since it never used in DBZ games, with the only requirement being having your power at a certain level, and mybe with say SSJ4 Gogeta you power Goku up to SSJ4, and then switch to Vegeta, do the same thing, and then fuse.

1. Change levels mid battles by flying maybe? Something like how naruto ultimate ninja can switch in battles.
2. Changing time, lets say namek gets darker or anywhere, like morning and night. Night is when the moon can be visible and you can transform into ape. I like that one.

Tru_Warrior.. eh, I think it'd be nice to have an M rated.. but my ideas.. i don't think it would push for an M rating. The first budokai had the beam going through raditz's body, and he had a huge hole in his chest that you could see, and it was still rated T.
Also I want to hear MINOR cursing like in the uncut version. "damn it!" "go to hell!"

Hey I've got some! Before I start, if I took anyone's idea, I apologize before hand. Also, if there were ideas I didn't mention, that doesn't mean I don't think their good, I just forgot them.
PRACTICE MODE
That practice mode on BT was absolutely horrid. I mean there was like one option. AI Attack Or Don't Attack. What happened to all those options on B1, 2, and 3 that made your head spin? That would help out alot in introducing people to the fundamentals of the game. And the tutorial could use a bit more work too. I liked it a bit more when you had to get it right before you passed, like the army or something. That's a realistic Piccolo training course.
COSTUMES
And all the core characters need almost all of their costumes, Goku should lose his shirt after a few whoppers to the chest or an energy attack. And Vegeta should have his....:weird: spandex outfit.....without the armor.
ASSORTED IDEAS
Transformations should take about 3-4 seconds. The idea I saw about the lightning and darkening sky was very good! Also, I think that idea with the optional attack cutscenes is pretty creative, I hate it when my brother can just sidestep a frikkin SPIRIT BOMB for god sake, because he was fair warned. I have never EVER seen someone just SIDESTEP a Spirit Bomb. Teleporting is fair game, but sidestepping? The in game clock is good too, running for your life from an Oozaru is very exciting. Maybe it would be better to just have a Day or Night option though, just a personal thought. And program the AI to lay off the ki blasts every once in a while, I almost cussed out my TV because Chiaotzu never ran out of energy!
You should also be able to pick who you want in a Tournament, like UB22. (Ultimate Battle 22 for PS) That was pretty cool. And like B3, you should be able to select the devastated section of an arena. I shouldn't have to fly through everything if I wanna make it look like a Big Bang just detonated! Kami's Lookout was perfect, it shouldn't change. The City should have Capsule Corp, and a not ruined city would be cool. When Dragon Dashing, there should be an Energy Trail left where you came from, and you should definately be able to revert from a higher form to a lower one. I hate doing Kamehameha's until I am completely exhausted, and then letting them hit me.
And a Blast Deflection/ Return should be possible. I would like to smack a Galick Gun into the sky and just watch it explode, or knock a Spirit Bomb right back at Goku/Cell!!!
Exploring the World would be awesome! If I'm hungry, I could stop at Chi-Chi's, or if I'm feeling evil, I could land at West City and blow it up!
Using a spaceship or Instant Transmission to visit Namek would be sweet! Or get some training from King Kai! In Janemba's movie, I might have to use two of my favorite technique dots to reach King Kai, or Hell for that matter. And adding a little more variety to the attacks would do some good. 70% of the characters had Full Power Blast Volley or High Power Rush. Very repetitive. And having different things to do than just fight, like in B1 where we had to make sure we hit Piccolo's Special Beam Cannon, or charged it fast enough!
Maybe charging the Spirit Bomb on Frieza would be cool, and there should be more than just smoke when a Death Ball hits. Like automatically changing the arena, like on B3! Or you might blow up the moon, or cut off an Oozaru's tail, and temporarily buy some time! The Ability to use a Solar Flare, then hide and charge a Spirit Bomb would own! And DEFINATELY MUSIC FROM THE TV SHOW! That baby stuff is killing me! And like sagas, cutscenes from the show! Combining elements from every DBZ game would ultimately make something no one could resist, and definately raise the bar.

More Ideas:
1. Put back combos like in B1-3, where I can choose to do puch, punch, punch, etc than kamehameha without having to back up and get some room like in BT 1.
2. Maybe some pedestrians?

4. When flying over water fast the water seperates like in the show, I 4got wether this is in BT 1 or not.
5. When flying down using dragon homing or whatever the fast one is, when you hit the ground you crate a crater.
6. When using dragon homing and are flying straight at your opponent, you can teleport right behind him as a combo move.
7. Turn auto-lock off, I want to race 2nd-player sometimes but that annoying auto-lock comes on. Or an option to turn it on or off.
8. Let Gohan use the Z Sword
9. Let your beam wave keep going on for as long as you have remaining ki. Like say I fire a kamehameha with goku at ss4, I want it to keep going until my ki runs out, like beam struggle only without struggling with an opponent.
10. Let Krillin fire more than one distructo disc.
11. Lets the anidriods use sheilds for as long as they have remaing ki/energy to protect against lets say idea 9.

Though its a good idea, Gohan never used the Z Sword. Might be good for switchin things up a bit though! Now how about a minigame with Gohan training with the Z Sword, trying to hit the rock Goku throws?

yeah not bad! all those minigames for the story mode should be those little ones like goku training in his ship in preperation for namek, gohan trying to use the sword, etc.
Anyone think kid gohan with the tell will be in, maybe as a costume...
Not bad ideas JanembaSpawn, that ki problem with the cpu WAS annoying. Thats all they did especialy in the top 10 in that mode I forgot was called.
Picking who you want in the tourney is also cool
you had really nice ideas!
1. A better solar flare thats lights up the screen but gets clearer as you fly away.
2. More what do they call it... dramatic fights between oozoruu vs oozoruu. Maybe this could be for tag team, lets say you transform into oozoruu to fight against another oozoruu, like kid gohan vs turles like in the movie, then you could switch to goku but the two apes will still be fighting, but you cant stay in for long, you have a time limit, you have to find away to revert them back to normal either by destroying the moon, cutting his tail, or just destroying hime with a spirt bomb. But you only have one chance to do it all before he (turles) finds out whats going on, maybe this would be story mode or something, but anyway, once he finds out you cant do anything abymore, he grabs ahold of you, then you switch back to gohan and have to beat him before he squezes the life out of him and you loose your team mate. I like it. Maybe someone can go into more detail here cuz I got it in my head but its hard trying to put it into words.
i got many more, just need to play the game, see whats wrong, watch some shows, and look at some pics.
I really hope all these ideas are not in vain, are they really paying attention to us? Or is all this a waste of time!?
