You've gotta convert the 3DS Into OBJ first then you can convert It Into ASE

Sorry mods for triple posting but ive been trying things out
biturn converts 3ds to ase directly. The only reason for converting ot obj, for most people, is to use Uvmapper (which dosn't supprot 3ds).
Yeah .obj is not needed unless you need to use uvmapper.
Try downloading biturn again, somebody had the same problem and he downloaded an older version of biturn.

To convert;you do not need it to be .obj; it can be .3ds .
What you are missing is the .ase plugin. Avalible here:
ASE import / export plugin (http://mirex.mypage.sk/FILES/max-ase.rar)
I unzipped and put into zip format if you want it:
http://www.brightsand.com/rct3/biturnpluginase.zip
You just need to move the folder into your biturn folder, or redownload with ase plugin:
http://www.brightsand.com/rct3/biturn.zip
Biturn from :http://mirex.mypage.sk/index.php?selected=1
Good Luck!
