We've noticed that some users attempting to install the Act of War High Treason demo will experience InstallShield error message -6001 right at the get-go. This is probably caused by a defective or obsolete version of the InstallShield runtime application still being resident on the hard drive, possibly left behind by an incomplete installation in the past, or an installer using an obsolete version of InstallShield.
Anyway if you get this, try and simply delete the contents of the folder:
C:\Program Files\Common Files\InstallShield\Professional\RunTime\0701
... this should hopefully do the trick.

I don't even have a InstallShield folder in common files.
I'm glad I just downloaded the demo

This problem is solved in this thread http://www.ataricommunity.com/forums/showthread.php?t=521966. It is sad that noone read. When their problem is already solved and just read the contents.
Btw:- Lear. Is atari doing anything to advertise Act of War.
Please ask David Pierce, CEO and Bruno Bonnell, Chairman and Chief Creative Officer. To do the need for AOW marketing and concentrate on it. Please.
