New official ladder from High Treason broken !!

Hi,
I wonder the new ladder now counts ALL (!!!) games, not only warroom games. By this way some guys played the whole day closed (with pw) games, make many XP points and now stand already at top of the ladder.

I hope Atari/eugen will fix this, so that only warroom games count for ladder.
For what else we should need warroom then ??

That's why warroom has random matchups right? To prevent sploiters. Which is why we have a warroom.

Yes. As in DA only warroom games should count to your statistic, but as it is now in HT, every game comes into account.

That´s not the way it is meant.

Atari has to patch and reset ladder !!!

Yes, but he didn´t made warroom games, but "normal" ones instead. same with me. I made 4 "normal" games, and they all counted to the statistics.

That´s the bug I meant.

In addition the player "colabombe" is two times in the ladder with the same account. Weird, or ?
When I lokk at the gaming statistics, it say much less games played than all players have together. So there the warroom counting seems correct while the official statistic counts ALL and EVERY game one plays.

Please fix this soon, as it takes much of the online playing fun for many people !

I just made a "fungame", no warroom match", and won. My enemmy gave up - and guess what. I got a disc in my stats for that, while he got nothing.

This has to be fixed, otherwise im off of this game.
It can´t be that such issues aren´t tested or adressed. That´s a shame, sorry !

Actually, Colabombe used a font trick to make a second nick which looks the same. So you have CoLabombe and CoIabombe which are 2 different nicks :)

One more bug in the ladder/online system:

The military ranks are not correct displayed. Although being a corporal, I still have the sign of a private. As all other who have a higher rank are also displayed.

Me and many other guys play online because of the ladder and stats - because of competetive gaming. So calm down - it´s not ok to release a game and the MP online part is not correctly working.

Yeah, well go cry in the corner matey, cause the rest of us understand that the world doesn't revolve around our sorry asses !!

And we also understand that important issues in games get resolved with time, not when we constantly post about them..........

Personally, I couldn't care less if the MP part of the game was completely funked up, cause players take it far to seriously, so much so that you'd think their life depended on it.

I'm save my competitive edge for the real world, where I can reap real rewards for being better than the rest, rather than imagined ones that benefit no one !!

I understand GeneralGonzo for the fact of the ladder. RTS are very competitive.

And I'm agree with you, the fun of this game is gone when ranked players came to war room and played like they play in Central.

I'm boring with ranked players who kick or insult 0/0/0 stats players because they don't understand that we couldn't care of stats. Never played in Central.

So just play the game and if you think your influence will grow because of your rank in AoW ladder... open the door, the windows of the house.

Or just come to warroom, without your mates (because a known team will be always better than a random team) and play a game, with randoms players and mates, and look at your so beautiful rank in ladder, it means nothing... :D

so, lemme ask you a question. what caliber bullets does the gun use that's pointed to your head everyday when you start playing? they must be pretty big.

Quitting a game because of a certain online ranking system (which, in my experience, drives up the urge to win to an overwhelming sense, and reduces the fun factor, for me anyways), isn't really..... well..... err..... kinda dumb (if you find a more polite word(s) for this, please correct me, I don't like, nor mean to call someone dumb).

why is there an ESL ? Because people ant to compete in this game. Why are there ladders in BFME 2, in C&C Generals and in AOW: DA ?
Because people want to compete and get rewarded for a win with points/ranking/ladder !!
That´s a big point for many people playing online RTS - like me too.

If this system didn´t work, then only playing "for fun" may be satisfying for some of you, but not for all people playing. So I can tell you that the online community will shrink if this isn´t fixed.
Me too in the long run although I like the game very much - and yes, noone gives a **** for me, but while many players think like me, there has to be done something !

I come over another bug in the ladder/gamespy system !

When you go to warroom and press "2vs2", you sometimes come into a 1vs1 game without warning. This happened to me now 3 times !!

Please fix this !

Let's say you get a loss. Then you check your rank, and it says you haven't got anything. Then you play another game, get a win, then your loss is displayed. But you're like WTF?!

You're win comes later. Anyway, that's my theory. Cause I remember winning a few games in DA that didn't get recorded. Next time I logged on (few hours later I think) they were recorded.

Believe me, I play this game on gamespy since a year and I know when I get a loss, a win or nothing. Yes, sometimes izt comes later, but mostly when it´s not there immediately, the counting will never come. And instantly it counts wrong, lets say a loss instead of a win with a 10% chance.
Also the disconnect counting doesn´t wor.
I had several guys discing on me, but when they were online again, it hadn´t count to their stats.

Unfortunately if you don't complain about things, nothing ever gets done. It's a good bet that keeping quiet about stuff that's broken never achieved anything.

In any case, if you've already bought the game (and the expansion), you're right in that threatening to leave doesn't accomplish anything. You've got to make your opinion felt with your wallet.

Yes it is... I played a marine one map with an account with 0/0/0 stats and after have played two rounds I won and lost and get 1/1/0... I thought that only central games were able to save result for ladder.

i agree with you, but let's break it down. there's 2 ways to complain.

1) "hey guys, this is broken. don't know if you guys knew.... etc..."

then not to mention it again. it's been noted. good. now the ball is in their court.

do you see the stark contrast in the two? this clown has gone on ever since the expansion came out on how bad the game sucks, how he can't believe that so and so features weren't included, and how he's not gonna play anymore. yet then he returns to repeat himself.

that's like the battered wife syndrome. "now Earl, i mean it, i'm leaving for real this time....."

please. post it once, then shut up. no need to keep threatening a corporate giant or keep repeating yourself. just makes more useless content to read.

I rellay like the game and just want to show here the bugs it still has. It´s annoying playing such a great game but with that bugs in it.

And where the developers should know from than from this forum ? And they don´t read every post, so it may occur that people write it more than twice!
