im just wondering when AoW HT is being released here in OZ, as i went to EB gmaes last week and it was meant to be released to today (24 Mar 06), and yesterday wheni went into get another game i asked if it had arrived instore ready for selling today, At which the store manager said they havent recived it yet and proceeded to check on their database and it had been changed to the 31st of march.
if that is true, why the delay for us and the huge delay for the yanks, it seems lately that both Australia and New Zealand seem to be getting thrown into " who cares about them" catagory when it comes to releaseing games, ie sometimes we are treated as european release and dont get games untill they are released in europe, and then we get treated as being on the american release roll.
some prime examples of this have been Boiling point, Earth 2160, chrome spec force, with WoW we were placed under the american side, Total overdose was released on console yet was 9 months late on pc (not sure if the delay was there at every country)
thanks for your time.
p.s this is not meant to be a whine and i am sorry if it sounds like one

Well, the practice differs between different publishers, but we always try and release worldwide simultaneously. Sometimes however, for various reasons, it doesn't always work out according to plan. Sometimes a localization can be late, in other cases there might be contractual restrictions, it has happened that the Australian software ratings board has forced the publisher to redesign or relabel the games just for the Australian market -- even very small modifications or changing a new logo on a box take a lot of time. In the case of Act of War: High Treason, it's the very simple factor that it takes a couple days to ship manufacturing components from Europe to Australia -- and as we always release on Fridays, even one day's difference becomes one week.
In the case of Act of War: High Treason in the U.S. this is a long story but please have faith... we should have an update very shortly.

I wish more game companies would just sell their games online, I know theres nothing much PqLear can do but it gets tiresome that game companies can't just sell you a .ISO of the game + cdkey online. It just seems silly that a few people on various P2P sites can release a game worldwide quicker than a huge multinational corporation can.

we should have an update very shortly.
Does that mean "its almost resolved and can be realeased ASAP", or, "Alot of stuffs happening, and expect another 2 month delay on a finished game"
I got a good idea Pqlear, make a Canadian release date :P
