I'm sorry if this is meantioned in another thread, but two things:

1. Is there a way to activate music by trains passing a point on the track?

2. Does anyone have any ride activated scenery to download? I couldn't find any. (I was a bit disappointed that both expansions to RCT3 had no more ride activated scenery)

Thanks.

1. should be possible by using these ride activated scenery, but that's not possible yet.
2. no, animations are not yet supported by the importer.

Ain't gonna happen anytime soon bro. Better get used to the static scenery for now. Until the RCT3 platform is resurrected perhaps after Atari goes out of business and its picked up by another Publisher, we might have a chance of seeing something. I think if Chris Sawyer wins the case, along with Frontier perhaps they will support the community better in importing things.

The scenerymakers here and elsewhere who have contributed to RCT3, not to mention the great ride and scenerymakers, all of them, who contributed to the RCT2 platform, have demonstrated the extreme value of the community's participation.

In my estimation, the dumbest thing a software title publisher can do is not bring the community in to participate or at least make it as difficult to contribute as possible, as Atari did with RCT3. But than again that's just my opinion  amongst other dumb things Atari has done so far, where RCT3 strategy for the longterm, wacky worlds and time twisters goes.

Why would you get banned for routing for the originator to continue making the RCT platform popular, afterall he is the one who founded the platform. Without Chris's original work there would be no RCT platform and I doubt anyone else would have made something so well. RCT3 is still, even with all of its little faults and nuiances, the best game/program of its kind, and I doubt anyone anytime soon will out do it. In fact I have not heard of anything else like it by anyone, and sorry to hurt their feelings, but includes NL and VR simulators as well. RCT3 remains a great product that can really grow if either Atari or someone else can get it to do so. It has a very long future ahead, a fanatically dedicated and very loyal consumer base, and it can go very far if the bugs can be fixed and than the owners listen to the requests of the consumer.
