I have a really big request to our professionell custom scenery designers. Can someone show us please in a step-by-step-tutorial how you can get an object in the game. I mean really a step-by-step-tut from the first step (designing an object in a 3d-editor) to the last step (the object inside the game).

If you work currently on a new object you could made some screenshots and wrote later some descriptions for that pics.

The tutorial should also be on a seperate homepage and not be a part of this forum, because with tons of comments the tutorial would be useless. Off course anyone should discuss about the tutorial here.

It's just an idea ... anyone willing to help us?

theres the wiki have you seen that?

Although its more of a reference than a tutorial.

I think thats an excellent idea, you need to make it very simple, because most people don't know what the hell an alpha texture or a mesh flag is.

That's a really nice idea, the only problem I see here is not everybody uses the same modelling software but I guess we could set one of them as a standard software and then write a complete tutorial on how to create scenary objects and import them into the game. :)

no tutorial is going to tell you how to use modeling software. (at least its unlikely that anyone would write one). Many free editors have tutorials on their websites (MS and anim8or have extensive tutorials and help sections).

Your'll need to know that to even start. A tutorial could be written from the .3ds conversion stage..........
