Hello all!
I'm coming back to RCT3 with an all new park, in South Quebec (I've not chosen a city yet), called "Les Jardins du Québec".
This park is going to be very flowered, and a bit posh maybe... :D
I've just finished the entrance. A wooden coaster leans over it, so that guests can see the train when they're arriving to the park!

Here are the first sreenshots :

AceHawkX - It's OK, I appreciate you tried to talk to me in French! ;)

Maxamillion - Thank you!

alex_meloche - Thanks ! But actually, I'm not from Quebec, I live in Lyon, France. But i think placing my park in your country is interesting, because until now, I've never seen another virtual park in Quebec. ;)

New pictures soon !

I love the hill of the wooden coaster going over the entrance. I would love to see a pic or small video of the train going over that hill!

I had to edit because I didn't see your log ride! HOLY CRAP! That is a huge drop! I hope the logs have seat belts! LOL Anyway, your scenery on the mountain looks outstanding!

absolutely stunning even!

i searched on FRCT3 for the DLSSR, and was unable to find it
NOT surprising considering i know absolutely NO French

is there any way that you could private message me the link? not sure if it would be okay to post it on here...

thanks!

aennilQ - didn't understand your language mix.:D but thanks anyway! I study Latin at school too.

nolimits131 - Thank you!

disneyland255 - Thanks! I think I will make an on ride video of my wooden coaster, but I want to correct some details on the layout before. You can also look at the 4th pic I posted!

ForceWorks -thank you very much!
For DLSSR, do you want to see pictures or to download it?
Pictures are posted on a topic in Atari's forums and on FRCT3. Here are two links :
http://frct3.forumactif.com/viewtopic.forum?t=56
http://www.ataricommunity.com/forums/showthread.php?t=482660&highlight=singapore+sea
The construction is going to continue with Bouny62 (Adventureland).

Anyway, there's an English Area on FRCT3 forums. If you have questions, you can post them there! You can also show your creations. ;)

As I read the new title I read first "New erotic area" instead of "New exotix area" ... sometimes I'm just a bad boy ;)

The new area looks great, but you should vary the hedges along the track a little bit.

I take french but only a little and im not very good but here it goes:-

Je'mappelle Ythan (ethan) commen tu tapelles? (i am possitive thats very nearly correct i will speak somemore when i can remeber lol.

Anyway you know the log flume that ecactly what i want to make my new ride look like well not excatly it will be different that would be copying but i just think you way of doing things is just incredible-ly inspiring and now i wanmt to go on RCT3 and make something lol (The only thing i would say is do a little tiny lake and the bottom of the drop because thats what it would be like in real life but until next time WOW!

ForceWorks
04-27-2006, 01:34 PM
i have to agree with the hedges, they look fine to fine, no nned to vary them, even if there was another hedge in RCT3

and Willy....you posted more pics in FRCT3 then here! LOL
i may just have to register over there and find out what is going on in tomorrow land!

disneyland255
04-27-2006, 01:42 PM
I agree thrice! Keep the look you have now. It would be neat to have a little lake at the bottom of the drop. But it isn't detrimental. Keep up the great work!

YthySlz - Great French! :D I'm glad too see that my ride inspiring for you! Thanks!
However I think I won't dig a lake at the bottom of the drop because my flume second watery ride is already on this place. Sorry.

nailedgod - Thank you !

ForceWorks - Thanks! And if I've posted more images in FRCT3 than here, it's an error, sorry. Moreover, when I uploaded my pictures yesterday on imageshack, there was a bug with one of them. This reason could maybe explain this. ;)
Tomorrowland is not begun in DLSSR, but anyway I invite you to register on FRCT3 forums. there's an English area! ;)

disneyland255 - Thank you! (for the lake idea, look at my answer for YthySlz).

smallprint - :haha: Thanks !

gforcejunkie Thanks you too!

So, here are the all new pictures. The exotic area is now finished (except if I make small modifications). There are two flume rides on the mountain. Enjoy!

There is a western hedge, a adventure hedge and a horror hedge, that you can mix together.

Willyfan2bibi

Yes, but I think the adventure hegde has a too much poor foliage, and the western/hrror hedges are almost "dead" lol. I want a luxuriant vegetation in this area. ;)

This is a beautiful creation. I love the idea of the Rapids ride going around the mountain. Gives peeps the chance to watch the log ride from their raft. They can see if they really want to "take the plunge." One question I have is from your first picture of the overview of the mountain. After the drop on the log ride the track curves around to head back to the station. As the track goes over the rapids ride it looks like there is a see-through green thing over the log ride. What is that? Also, it would be cool to add a little rock tunnel on one of the log ride lifts. Just so it isn't this blatant lift in the open. You have done a wonderful job and I can't wait to see the video on your woody! Keep up the great work!

Actually, you're not the first person who asked me this question about that "green thing" lol. I built it to hide the RCT3 supoorts witch look really too slim. Before, I tried too make a second rock tunnel, but the top of this tunnel was too low. So I had to built this strange green structure. :(

I watched the video on your wooden coaster and it was great! I love the launch and the layout was awesome! It kept you wodnering if it would ever end!

The new part of your park looks wodnerful! I love the colors and the buildings. The mountains in the back really add to it. Pretty much a Postcard!

I am downloading the log ride video now! It looks a lot better without the green thing! The foliage matches with its surroundings. I can't wait to ride it!

First of all I love the ride! You did a great job with themeing and I love the drop! I have never seen one quite like that before. I do have a little bit of constructive criticism if you don't mind:

Trees were hanging INTO the track quite a few times: beginning and end of ride, second lift, right after the drop sequence
It would be cool to see you make a rock cave on the bend between the two lifts. Just to add a little something to that part of the ride.

I love the ride and would find it quite amazing to see in a park. Hopefully this one will do just that! Great job!!

The white coaster in your new land looks pretty screaminsh! I would love to see more pics of it!

Keep up the great work Willy!!!

Your wooden roller coaster is amazing, and I love how you didn't ruin your skyline with an icky lift hill. The log flume ride is really nice. (Think what you will of me for saying this...) But the theme seems a little weird, it just seems clashy. I believe it's the bushes, but it seems a little...off. I hope you'll forgive me. Now the Metropolis area seems feeble with such tall building so unrealistically placed. I know it's just me with the fact that I like a sense of realism, but in a fantasy park, it looks sweet. Contradictory? A bit, I know. But overall, I like the park. But I personally thought your Disne'ys Singapore Sea Resort (I think that's it) was the best! But this isn't bad.

4/5 Overall

I am not really quite sure what to say about this new area. First of all it looks beautiful! I love the buildings and I really like the terraforming you've done. The parts of the coaster I loved were where it hugged the mountain and became a scenic coaster. I thought the beginning of the coaster was wonderfully done. The rest of it was okay. *Mind you this is just my opinion* I think you could fully utilize the coaster and your city if you had the coaster scenicly go through and around buildings as well as the mountains. Maybe have it go by some waterfalls. I did see one waterfall that looked wonderful. You could have the coaster speed through some buildings and change speed throughout different parts. I think that would add to your city scape. Overall I love this area of your park. Keep up the great work Willy!

I could maybe expand the part of the ride which goes through the buildings. But I'm not sure that I will be able to do that, because the tower are close each others, so I don't know if make the ride there will be very easy.

Mayhem101
05-03-2006, 04:29 PM
By "unrealistically placed" I meant that bein' so hugged against the incredibly steep mountain didn't appeal to me, but you more than made up for it with this castle area. The cathedral style windows are amazingly creative and the carousel looks beautiful. But the round-topped mouseworx element takes away from it. It doesn't look like it fits. But you just bumped your park up in my book!

5/5 for sure now!

disneyland255 - Indeed this area is going to be a mix of cathedral/castle! The garden environment will be present too!

Mayhem101 -Actually, I don't think this is a problem, because "Metropolis" was supposed to be inspirated of Vancouver, Canada (buildings with mountains behind), but a bit caricatured lol, like the exemple of the Golden Gate Brigde recreation at Disney Califonia Adventure, which is a bit malformed.

TDA (Team Disney Anaheim I think it is called) is completely gutting the front of California Adventure and redoing it. Sorry :D

Refurbishment means to take something and fix it, make it new again, or completely change it. When a ride goes down in the park for refurbishment....they are fixing it.

Ah, that makes sense now, sorry about my critiques then. Now I feel stupid, but oh well, I've never been to Disney California Adventure, so I wouldn't understand anyway. Thanks for the explanation.:)

Anyway...I just noticed that in picture 2, there's a seriously overgrown station, sweet! I hardly even noticed it, it's so cleverly done. Keep it up.:D

Thank you all !

rhetorical question [you dont have to answer (im sorry if you know what rhetorical means, im not that rude)])?

Don't worry, the word is almost the same in French ("question rhétorique"), and indeed it means "wrong question, which doesn't need an answer" lol.

Who cares? it could be real, if a designer was as imaginative as this one. that support thing is amazing. i cant tell how you did it though, but i guess its for the best.

Yeh I kind of agree with what Matandmel05 is saying, although I see the effect you were going for. I think some small oak would look very good in there, overhanging onto the water.

The swans don't go in all the labyrinth, only 3/4 of it is occupated by the ride. Anyway, the ride is relatively long. Thanks !! ;)

Those shrubberies are very usefull to create the labyrinth effect indeed.
Sorry but I'm not sure I understood the word "oak", is that a tree? This is what I found on the translator... Thank you for the comment!

I really enjoyed wathing this thread. You've made an absolutely beautiful park so far.
I might imagine this, but for some reason you can tell it's designed by a French artist. It's (how do I put this) a lot less asphalted than an American would design it, for excample. Also your scyscrapers are very French (wich is good), I'm majoring in architecture, so I've a little authority to say that.

Thanks for the pic and the message! Well there's already some trees in the labyrinth, on the right (first screenshot) but they're small I agree. If I can I'll add more trees soon.

NOW HERE IS THE VIDEO OF THE MOUSES RIDE !

I changed the ride, with new vehicles, which don't turn on themself, I thinks it's now more realistic.

That last labyrinth area is one of the best rct3 area designs I've ever seen! One thing though, you should build an entrance to the small tunnel under the lift hill on both sides, however simple, because it just looks odd going through a square hole in the rock.
