Alright, some very bad news... My old computer is basically dead. :(

All my RCT3 files are completely gone...

YOu know what that means...

TIME FOR A NEW PARK! :p
So far, I'm calling it "Adventure COve", but that name is sure to go.

Anyways, time for some pics!

THe first ride, in the Jungle section. It's a small river rapids.
http://img196.imageshack.us/img196/442/river11aj.jpg (http://imageshack.us)

This ride swirls through a large jungle-like swamp, calmly flowing the riders through a beautiful ambient location.

An overhead view:

The first coaster, called "Jungle Bugs".

http://img191.imageshack.us/img191/5497/spinner31bi.jpg (http://imageshack.us)

One of the coolest parts of the ride, guests actually can walk across paths over and under the ride. In fact, soon I will add water cannons to add to the fun.

An overhead:

That's all I've done so far, but more will be added.

Comments are always welcome!

Thanks for the comments!

Time for the second update. But first, we are pleased to bring you an interview with Henry Carmine, the man behind the current Adventure Section.

PTSS: So, Henry, this park is being built in an unusual way. COuld you explain this?

Henry: Certainly. Each of the park builders is building their own section of park. Of course, this is all looked over by the central man in charge, Jeremy Price. But other than that, each of us comes up with our own ideas, builds our own unique sections, and adds our own unique touch.

PTSS: And why is this being done this way?

Henry: Basically, Jeremy wants each section to be completely unique and different, something he believes is difficult if he comes up with everything himself.

PTSS: Interesting. Now, let's talk about the rides.

River Rider

http://img176.imageshack.us/img176/2955/river47vx.jpg (http://imageshack.us)

PTSS: So, Henry, why did you decide to make a River Rapids ride? They aren't too common in theme parks nowadays.

Henry: Well, I think that's partly the reason why I liked the idea. I like to try new ideas. Also, this is an adventure section, and a river ride fit the adventure theme.

http://img178.imageshack.us/img178/418/river59up.jpg (http://imageshack.us)

PTSS: How did the construction of this ride work?

Henry: Overall, very well. First we dug a hole it the ground, and built the ride inside of this hole. After that, It was just the task of making it look like a jungle. We filled much of the hole with water, and brought in some artificial trees (as well as planting real ones).

Jungle Bugs

http://img176.imageshack.us/img176/8161/spinner56tp.jpg (http://imageshack.us)

PTSS: Jungle Bugs is quite a unique ride. Where did the idea for it come about?

Henry: Actually, Jungle Bugs is an idea I've had for a while now. I invisioned it as half wild-mouse, half "Tarzan's Treehouse". When I was presented with the opportunity to build the jungle section of Adventure Cove, I leaped at the opportunity to make this ride.

http://img183.imageshack.us/img183/9205/spinner87bk.jpg (http://imageshack.us)

PTSS: Where did the idea for the waterguns come from?

Henry: When we were testing the ride, the cars moved fairly slowly through the overbanked turn. I thought to myslef, "If I had a watergun, I could soak the riders of that". The idea just sprang out of that.

http://img225.imageshack.us/img225/2976/spinner61if.jpg (http://imageshack.us)

PTSS: What sort of view do the pathways around the ride have of the actual ride?

Henry: The view from the path is spectacular. In fact, one of the paths is right besides the first big drop. It's really fun, for the riders and for the viewers.

Gorrila Flip

http://img107.imageshack.us/img107/4229/gorilla19dy.jpg (http://imageshack.us)

PTSS: What's the idea behind the new ride?

Henry: Well, the idea is you've stumbled onto the mating grounds of a silverback gorilla. Angry, he begins to toss you around and flip you like a pancake. If you ride it, that's what it actually feels like, too.

http://img107.imageshack.us/img107/4927/gorilla25yq.jpg (http://imageshack.us)

PTSS: Thank you very much, Mr. Carmine, for doing this interview.

Henry: No problem.

Ok, that's it for today, childruntz. Hope this update was worth the time it took to write!

More tomorrow!

Looks a bit blocky or flat in places. The rapids ride is the first RCT vanilla rapids ride I've seen that blends in right.

ALright, we have a new update!

It seems that the Jungle Section of Adventure Cove is basically complete. Photographers were allowed inside the park to photograph the new rides.

Krasta

http://img64.imageshack.us/img64/2567/krasta19hc.jpg (http://imageshack.us)

Krasta is the park's second coaster, but the first one with any inversions. It's themed to look like the remains of a ruined city. It's fun, fast, and unbelivably smooth.

A shot of the lift hill, taken from our helicopter:

The dive into the temple gets awesome airtime:

The coaster, speeding through a helix interlinked with the temple:

Out analysts have calculated the ratings of Krasta. Two words: They rock.

Finally, an overview of the completed Jungle sector:

That's all for this weekend. Tune in newt weekend: Same Atari Community Time, Same Atari Communtiy Channel!

Alright, time to reply to all the comments so far...

Cyberleader: Thanks!

cowboys: Thanks for the advice. As you can probably see, I've changed things up a bit to better suit the feel of the park.

JCat: Thank you very much! Your mouse supports are unbeliveably awesome, and fit well with the ride.

Coco~Cola: Thanks! I thought Gorilla Flip was a cool name too! It's nice to see a member making a great adventure park comment positevely on my park. (I love your Jungle Book Park, it rocks!

gforcejunkie: Thanks!

Uries: I appreciate the honesty. I've fixed the flatness par of the island, hopefully it's not too blocky now.

themeparkdude: THanks! I love the adventure theme - it's probably the one that comes easiest for me.

-NGS- Thank you! I really liked the idea of taking a ride that's never really been done well and turning it into an immersive experience. Oh, and I believe the ride is called a Whirling Dervish. It's found in Wild!

Once again, THANK YOU EVERYONE who has commented! It's your comments that keep me going!

WHat's next for this park... Well, (I'm actually surprised no one noticed yet) Krasta doesn't have many supports right now. First I'll add new supports. After that... on to the next park section!!!

Props to all my brothers out there,

Alright, here's the final update for the Amazon! I've finally put the finishing touches on the jungle section, including more scenery, more vegitation, and more lights.

First, River Rider has undergone some small changes, including the construction of a building in the middle.
http://img112.imageshack.us/img112/2350/river63xd.jpg (http://imageshack.us)

I've also made some changes to the waterfall that feeds both Jungle Bugs and the Waterfall Cafe below. Now there is a cool looking structure on the top that adds more eye candy to this already beautiful park.
http://img170.imageshack.us/img170/1498/cafe14wk.jpg (http://imageshack.us)

I've finished Krasta's custom supports.
http://img112.imageshack.us/img112/117/krasta89aa.jpg (http://imageshack.us)

As I also said above, I've finally added lights to the Amazon, so here are the first night shots!
http://img112.imageshack.us/img112/1750/night18in.jpg (http://imageshack.us)
http://img112.imageshack.us/img112/92/night23yk.jpg (http://imageshack.us)
http://img170.imageshack.us/img170/2818/night36bz.jpg (http://imageshack.us)

Ok, that's pretty much it for this section. What's next? Well, I've just started construction on Xela, the Futuristic/Industrial zone of the park. However, I'm also thinking of making a video for the Amazon. I'm just learning about the Route Editor, and I'm planning on using it.

Till next we meet again, remeber not to eat the purple mushrooms.

Hey There! I really like what you have done with this amazon section. Great job! I usually hate the original rapids ride but you have made it look pretty cool with the layout and scenery. One thing I would suggest, if I may, is build more of a structure around the coaster. The part where it goes "briefly" into the temple isn't really working. Maybe cover up half the turn or something. It just looks like you didn't want to finish it. Please don't take that badly as I don't mean for it to. I just don't know another way to explain it. The enhancements you have done sound great. I do want to tell you that I am impressed with the overall view of the whole park. The four separate islands is a great idea! You have planned that out well. Good luck with the futuristic island!

Thanks, disneyland255! I love getting good advice about my parks. After all, constructive critisism is the only way you can really grow. I'll take your comments into consideration. I agree about the temple, and I'll soon be fixing it.

For now, though, I'd like to share with you my first professional video. It's more of an experimentation with using the route editor than anything else. It's a pretty rough cut, and some of the camera sweeps don't work too well (one of them accidentaly runs into a building briefly), but other then that, I think it turned out great.

So, without furter ado, I give you THE AMAZON!

Download THE AMAZON Video here (http://rapidshare.de/files/19106212/The_Amazon.wmv.html)

Once again, PLEASE comment, without comments I'm not motivated or inspired.

Finish Strong,

Nice job for your first video! You've clearly spent a good amount of time so far on your park. It's visually easy on the eyes, which is a great thing.

My only comment has to do with the placement of some of Marnetmars' rocks and the acacia trees. On the river rapids, some of the rocks overlap too much of the river rapid track and actually shows through the boat. Also, on Jungle Bugs AND Krasta, there were multiple instances where we got smacked in the face by tree branches...owwww... You might want to address those.

Great job so far!
