How do I place Spiral Stairs/Ramps??

HI All!

Now that I've finally worked out how to get guests to enter the pool, (thanks to your replies in the 12 slide thread), I've started creating my own complexes.

I am having problems placing all the various ramps and the spiral staircase shown on the right of the paths window (n the Pool builder). Everywhere I try to place he ramps and stairs, it shows up red and won't let me place them. What do I need to do in order to be able to place these objects??

I also noticed a wierd test result. I built a Body Slide with two (2) drops and a big helix. When I tested it, the test results showed that there were seven (7) drops!?!? How did it come up with that?

In order to place any form of ramp, it must travel from one pre-existing pool to another pre-existing pool. By pre-existing, I mean that it must be placed on a pool block that doesn't have water. In order to place a staircase, it must go from a pre-existing pool and then press Shift and move to the height wanted. Hope this helps...

And with the weird test results, how many halves were in the helix? Just one Half Helix or multiple? 'Cause it makes a difference. *I think.*

Thanks Mayhem101 for your reply! I will be trying that out once I figured out how to create a large blank pool space without water.

There were 8 halves in the helix, starting with four large helix pieces followed immediately by 4 small helix pieces.
