Waaaaaaaaaaaa, a consol test. Suprising, very few companys will do this because of lack of copy protection. I was going to sign up, but i dont have a PS2. I was in the middle of signing up when i noticed its PS2, and that explaned why there wasnt any requirments up.

Actually, the discs that are getting mailed out are going to have cool artwork on them :) Not just text on silver disc like previous betas. ;)

I've beta tested SOE's Planetside before. I was also a memeber of Motor City Online when it was active. I have a cable modem, ps2, a Logitech Driving Force Pro and the majority of my gaming library are racing games.

I have everything from arcade racers such as Ridge Racer Revolution for the ps1, all of the WipEout series including the original, I've played almost every Need for Speed, every Gran Turisimo, Forza Motorsports for Xbox, Ralisport Challenge 2 and the Toca Series. Some of the games I've liked best have blended an arcade feel with realism thrown in.

I really liked Initial D in the arcades for the feeling of oversteer it gave, I liked Need for Speed for the exotic cars I got to drive and the ability of being able to just pick up and play. I'm challenged by the likes of Forza and Gran Turisimo due to their strict grounding in realism and the fact they aim to be simulations. But I do understand all the concepts they present in trying to customize a car's handling aspect even though I haven't developed a feel for it.

My first experience with the Test Drive series is Test Drive 5 on the ps1. I played Test Drive on the ps2 as well. I remember Test Drive 5 being focused on driving exotic cars in exotic locations. I remember the line up cars being more diverse as well as the locations you drove in to seperate it from the Need for Speed series. The ps2 version played a lot like Most Wanted to me, but it actually had a story line that helped developed the character to draw you in the game. I never got around to beating it but I still have the save game on my memory card. I remember it borrowing some elements from Midnight Club as well.

I've been following Test Drive Unlimited when I read up on in Game Informers several months ago. I've been gleeming most of my information from IGN.com. I feel that TDU is going to some really unique and special. I haven't been so excited for a game in years.

I feel I can communicate well, grammatical shortcomings aside, and I have strong analytical skills. I also possess a strong sense of being able to pinpoint what I find fun and what kills a game for me, and being able to put these details and nuances into words.

So bascially this is a HUGE kiss up letter telling you to PICK ME OO OOO PICK ME.

No, they haven't made the selection yet as far as I know.

I just read on IGN that the PS2 version's been bumped into late October. Which is making this beta more of a "must have" every day that passes.

Come on now.. the quicker the beta, the quicker the game. :)

I can't access the Bug Tracker site or the Private beta forums.

Same thing with me, I got my TDU PS2 Beta Disc in the mail (In a plastic cover) with the "Quick Start Guide" little Paper, That's all I've got, in a yellow parcel (Small Package). But, I check the e-mail Address that I entered on the Beta Testing Page, yet I didn't get an e-mail, and there was no e-mail in the Package neither....just the Disc and the Guide Paper. I'm still waiting for the E-Mail.

P.S. Do we get to keep the Beta Disc, or do we have to return it?

Yes, but I don't want to have fun with the Beta all for nothing, I'd like to help them out by the Private Beta Forums from TDU...I'd like to give them feedback, errors, and glitches so that they know the problems and fix it. That's why I came to these forums to let you know. Any help on how I can get the Forums address? And if I can't, then that's okay with me.
